Maxime Talbot skated on the fourth line at practice on Wednesday.

It's still unclear if he'll be in the lineup on Thursday. Talbot has good leadership qualities and he can kill penalties, but don't expect him to contribute to your fantasy team.
Mar 5 - 10:35 AM

Maxime Talbot could start with the Bruins as a healthy scratch.

Gregory Campbell is close to returning from a three-game absence due to an undisclosed injury, which could result in Talbot being forced to wait for an opening. It's uncertain what Boston's lineup will look like going into Thursday's game versus Calgary at this time.
Mar 3 - 9:05 AM

The Boston Bruins have acquired Maxime Talbot and Paul Carey from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Jordan Caron and a sixth-round pick.

Talbot has five goals and 15 points in 63 games in 2014-15. He'll likely continue to serve in a bottom-six role with Boston and isn't likely to have any fantasy value in standard leagues going forward.
Mar 2 - 3:36 PM

Maxime Talbot notched the only goal for the Avalanche in their 3-1 loss to the Wild on Saturday night.

Talbot had not scored since Jan. 30 and this was just his third point during that stretch, so suffice to say he’s not close to being fantasy relevant. The 31-year-old has five goals and 15 points this season. Nick Holden picked up the helper. Cody McLeod had 17 penalty minutes, while Gabriel Landeskog tallied 10.
Mar 1 - 1:02 AM

Maxime Talbot will skate with Matt Duchene and Jarome Iginla to form Colorado's first line on Saturday night against Dallas.

While Talbot is not noted for his scoring prowess, did manage to play quite well against the Rangers with Duchene and Iginla by his side. He has four goals and 13 points with 25 PIMs, 32 blocks, and 78 hits this season over 55 games.
Feb 14 - 3:57 PM

Max Talbot tucked home a rebound 13:49 into the first period for his fourth goal of the season Friday night against Nashville.

The goal turned out to be all Colorado needed in their 3-0 win as Talbot finished with two shots, a hit and a block through 13:53 of ice time. Talbot also skated 2:35 on the penalty kill. He now has four goals, 12 points, and 25 PIMs through 50 games this season.
Jan 31 - 12:36 AM

If you are looking for a short-term pickup, consider Maxime Talbot for this weekend's games.

He will skate on Colorado's top line alongside Matt Duchene and Nathan MacKinnon. Not a bad place to be at all. The Avs' other lines will be as follows: Gabriel Landeskog-Ryan O'Reilly-Daniel Briere, Jarome Iginla-John Mitchell-Alex Tanguay. Winners in this alignment are Talbot and Briere. Losers are Iginla and Tanguay.

Maxime Talbot got two points in Colorado’s 4-3 loss to the Flyers on Saturday night.

The veteran is nothing but a checking line player. Talbot doubled his point total on the year to four and scored his first goal, too, so he’s clearly not fantasy relevant. Zach Redmond and Alex Tanguay picked up the other goals. Gabriel Landeskog had seven penalty minutes, while Nathan MacKinnon and Jarome Iginla each had five apiece.

Maxime Talbot chipped in two assists in Colorado's 5-0 win against the Islanders on Thursday.

The points were his first in 11 games this season. Talbot shouldn't be on your fantasy radar.

Maxime Talbot is feeling good after undergoing shoulder surgery over the summer.

Talbot was dealing with the injury during the playoffs. He's a valuable bottom-six forward for the Avalanche when he's healthy, but he doesn't do enough offensively to make him worthy of note in standard fantasy leagues.

Maxime Talbot has played at center and on both wings with the Avalanche.

He's been playing on the ride side recently on the third line, but he prefers to play in the middle. "I feel like I'm more into the game at center," said Talbot. "It's more work, because you're skating more and you have more defensive responsibility. You usually have the middle of the ice, so you're telling yourself to get the puck and distribute it to the sides. Playing center, you feel like you touch the puck more. That's why I say it's a little more work, because you're always moving, whether it's in neutral-zone regroup or in D-zone." He has eight goals and 25 points in 78 games with Colorado and Philadelphia this season.

Maxime Talbot registered a pair of assists for the Avalanche in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to Winnipeg.

Since joining Colorado earlier this season, Talbot has continued to score near his career pace, which works out to about 30 points per season so he's not worth owning in any fantasy formats. Nick Holden, Cody McLeod, Ryan O'Reilly and Gabriel Landeskog were the goal scorers for the Avalanche in the losing effort.

Maxime Talbot is expected to play Friday after his fiancéegave birth on Thursday morning.

He didn't practice Thursday and he missed Wednesday's game to welcome Jaxson Spartacus Talbot into the world.

Maxime Talbot didn't play Wednesday because his fiancee went beyond her due date and had gone through a false labor.

He took part in the morning skate, but he wasn't available to play against Los Angeles. The Avalanche played with seven defensemen instead thanks to return of Cory Sarich from a back injury.
