Mike Morrison has been sent down from San Antonio of the AHL to the Phoenix Road Runners of the ECHL.

Well, Morrison is back in Phoenix. Unfortunately for him, it's with the Road Runners. Morrison apparently has lost all confidence in his game and the Coyote franchise hopes it will return with a stint in the ECHL. Morrison obviously has no value in your fantasy pool and has lost all his value in an AHL pool. If there are any ECHL pools out there, Morrison now makes a good pick up.

Goalie Mike Morrison's rough start cost him his roster spot, but coach Wayne Gretzky said he doesn't anticipate the move being permanent.

Morrison, who had a 6.14 goals-against average in four games, was put on waivers Wednesday. If he clears, as expected, he would be assigned to the AHL's San Antonio Rampage, the organization's top affiliate. "This is not a full-time demotion," Gretzky said. "We're going to let him go down for a little bit and find his game and get his confidence back. We'll see what happens over the next seven to 10 days." We're skeptical, and think David LeNeveu could stick with Phoenix, but we'll have to wait and see how serious Gretzky is.

The Phoenix Coyotes have placed Mike Morrison on waivers.

This is no surprise as the Coyotes have struggled all season. Look for the Coyotes to re-call David LeNeveu and do not be surprised if LeNeveu is installed as the number one netminder in Phoenix, ahead of Curtis Joseph.

Mike Morrison allowed three goals on nine shots before being pulled as the Coyotes lost 6-1 to Calgary.

Morrison has struggled this season, and could be on his way to the minors. We knew this could be his last game for a while unless he pulled it together, but this performance was hardly what Morrison could have hoped for. Stay tuned for a possible call-up of David LeNeveu.

Mike Morrison will be in goal for Phoenix when they host Los Angeles on Thursday.

Morrison, who missed a start Tuesday night in St. Louis after a piece of steak he had eaten the night before got lodged in his esophagus, said Wednesday that there were "a couple of laughs here and there. They wanted to make sure I was OK, but I'm a fun kid to begin with." Phoenix is trying to build off a rare win, and if you somehow own him, adjust your lineup.

Backup goalie Mike Morrison spent nearly seven hours in a hospital late Monday/early Tuesday because a piece of steak he had eaten for dinner lodged in his esophagus.

Morrison, who was supposed to have started Tuesday's game against the Blues but didn't, said he was never in serious danger. Morrison practiced with teammates at Tuesday's morning skate, and coach Wayne Gretzky said he would start Thursday's home game against Los Angeles. Morrison has marginal fantasy value, even when he plays, so only pick him up if you're desperate.

Mike Morrison will get the start on Tuesday as Phoenix takes on the St. Louis Blues.

Morrison has started one game already this season, giving up five goals to Columbus. "I'm thrilled to get the start," Morrison said. "I'm (upset) I couldn't come through for (Gretzky) and the team in Columbus. That was an ugly game, but I did my homework and saw what I did wrong on a couple of plays." Gretzky is looking for someone to give his 1-4 Coyotes a jump start and hopefully Morrison will come through. Adjust your lineup accordingly.

Mike Morrison will be in the net for Phoenix on Monday.

Curtis Joseph started the Coyotes' first two games, so Morrison is getting his first action tomorrow. Adjust your lineup accordingly.

Mike Morrison will be the backup goalie in Phoenix.

There was thought that Phoenix may claim former Coyote Sean Burke off waivers to be Joseph's backup, but decided against it. Head coach Wayne Gretzky said they did not claim Burke because they wanted a younger backup to Joseph. At this time Morrison has marginal fantasy value, as even if Joseph gets hurt David LeNeveu is expected to be called up to be the replacement starter.

Mike Morrison appears to have won the battle to back up Coyotes starting goaltender Curtis Joseph.

This would be a good move for the franchise as David LeNeveu should be playing as much as he can, whether in the NHL or AHL. Expect Morrison to play very little and if Joseph does get hurt, LeNeveu would be called back up and be the starting goaltender. Morrison is not worthy of a pick unless in the deepest of fantasy pools.

Coyotes signed Mike Morrison to a one year contract.

Terms were not disclosed. "I am very excited to be coming to Phoenix," said Morrison. "The Coyotes are a first-class organization that is committed to winning. I am looking forward to playing for Wayne Gretzky and learning from Curtis Joseph and Grant Fuhr, a Hall of Fame goaltender." He will be a fight for the Coyotes' backup netminder job in training camp, and as such Morrison will have very little fantasy worth in the upcoming season.

Michael Morrison was claimed off waivers by the Ottawa Senators.

This is an insurance move by the Senators in case Dominik Hasek's absence drags on. Morrison will likely backup Ray Emery for the time being. Expect the Senators to send Billy Thompson back down to the minors.

Michael Morrison has been placed on waivers by the Edmonton Oilers.

Perhaps this is a move to clear space for an impending trade to acquire a goaltender. The move comes roughly 24 hours prior to Thursday's trade deadline. Stay tuned for further updates on the trade front.

There is no word yet on who will start in goal for the Oilers tonight.

Morrison is likely since Markkanen was pulled in the last game. Edmonton is definitely in the market for a new goaltender before the trade deadline Thursday as they need a netminder that they can rely on, more than anyone in the league. Don't be surprised if the Oilers mae a deal with the Sabres for either Biron or Noronen.
