George Parros (upper body) is expected to return to action Saturday against the Devils.

He has been out of the lineup for two weeks but seems good to go. The Cats re-assigned Colby Roback and Michael Caruso to San Antonio of the AHL to make room on the roster to activate Parros. If you need an injection of PIMs, activating Parros wouldn't be the worst idea.

George Parros left Saturday's game in the first period with an upper body injury and did not return.

Parros fought with Eric Boulton and got slammed hard into the ice and was not able to return to the lineup afterwards.
Mar 17 - 12:26 PM

George Parros did more than just fight in the Florida Panthers' 4-3 win against the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday.

Parros collected five PIM from that game, but he also had a goal , a +2 rating, two shots and one hit. Don't expect steady performance from the man with the great 'stache, but if you placed him the lineup to try to eke out a PIM win, you must be happy.
Feb 3 - 5:41 PM

George Parros is ready to help the Panthers by creating a little more room for slightly-built finesse forwards Stephen Weiss and Jonathan Huberdeau.

Parros, will assume the role of the Cats' enforcer and should be a good add for those in pools that value penalty minutes. Of his role with the Panthers, Parros had this to say, "We've got a lot of young talent here for sure, so hopefully I could give them some space maybe and try to chip in myself and play solid, reliable hockey.''
Jan 12 - 9:11 AM

George Parros has signed on the dotted line with the Florida Panthers.

The new Panthers enforcer will reportedly earn $925,000 a year on average over the next two years. Parros should add penalty minutes to your fantasy lineup if he can earn regular duty in Florida next season.

George Parros is slated to hit unrestricted free agency on July 1.

The 32-year-old enforcer tallied four points and 85 penalty minutes in 46 games last season, but it doesn't look like he'll be back with Anaheim. "Met with him on Friday," Ducks GM Bob Murray said. "I've got a strong feeling he's going to go to free agency and take a peek. We offered him a contract. I think he's going to go to free agency, which is his right."

The Anaheim Ducks haven't been in contact with George Parros about a possible contract extension.

Parros is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. "We’re just waiting on a phone call," Parros’ agent, George Bazos said. "Normally when you think about re-signing any free agent, it’s encumbent of the team to reach out. I don’t know when they’ll reach out, if at all." Parros had four points and 85 penalty minutes in 46 games in 2011-12.

Ducks' enforcer George Parros was once again a healthy scratch.

It was the fourth game in a row and 10th of the Ducks' last 12th that Parros sat in the press box. It goes without saying that his days as a reliable source of penalty minutes are over. In fact, he may have already played his last game in Anaheim as he is an unrestricted free agent as of July 1st.

George Parros and Nate Guenin were healthy scratches for Anaheim Thursday.

Just an FYI. Parros has some value in the penalty minutes category when he does play.
Fri, Mar 9, 2012 03:41:00 AM

Right winger George Parros scored his first goal of the season in the Anaheim Ducks' 2-1 shootout loss to the Red Wings in Detroit Friday night.

Don't go picking up Parros in your fantasy league now, not unless you're looking for penalty minutes. He won the most accurate shooter at the Ducks' skills competition recently but he's no goal scorer. Trust us on that one.
