Josh Gorges (hip/abdominal) skated on his own Wednesday.

He has been on the ice for the past three days, but it remains unclear when he will be ready to skate with his teammates as well as return to the lineup. Gorges hasn't played since Jan. 5.

Josh Gorges' hip injury is apparently an abdominal issue.

It has prevented him from playing in the last nine games. Gorges is not able to work on the ice yet, but he has been rehabbing off of it. He likely won't play before the All-Star break.

Ouch. The rugged veteran defender had been averaging 19:27 of ice time per night through the first 23 games of the season. He's posted one point with 23 PIMs, 43 blocks and 53 hits thus far.

Josh Gorges, who missed his first game of the season Saturday night, will likely miss a few more before his upper-body injury fully heals.

He sustained the injury blocking a shot during Thursday's game against the Rangers. We would reserve Gorges for the week.
