The Minnesota Wild are reportedly shopping Kyle Brodziak.
The Wild aren't likely to get much for Brodziak, but they might just want to get rid of his roughly $2.8 million cap hit. He had 24 points and 61 penalty minutes in 81 games in 2013-14. Jun 25 - 10:06 AM

Kyle Brodziak will center a line featuring the surprisingly effective Dany Heatley Sunday afternoon in Game 2 against Chicago.

Cody McCormick will be the third member of the Wild's fourth unit. Heatley has five points in six playoff games and seems to be enjoying some sort of resurrection. The underrated Brodziak can take some of the credit for that.
May 4 - 12:08 PM

Kyle Brodziak scored a goal in Minnesota's 5-2 loss to Chicago in Game 1 of their second round playoff series on Friday night.

Brodziak converted a 2-on-1 down low with Erik Haula, lifting home his third of the postseason at 6:56 in the third period to square the game. Brodzik now has six points in seven games in the postseason. Defenseman Clayton Stoner scored the other goal for the Wild and that was his first ever NHL playoff goal.
May 3 - 2:53 AM

Kyle Brodziak collected three assists in Wednesday night's Game 7 victory against Colorado.

He helped set up Minnesota's two goals in the third period and the game-winner in overtime. Brodziak was a healthy scratch in Game 3, but he ended up with five points in six contests in the series.
May 1 - 12:44 PM

Kyle Brodziak scored a goal in the Wild's 4-3 overtime defeat in Game 5.

Brodziak has two goals in four playoff games. That's pretty impressive when you consider that he's only fired five shots on goal. Of course, we don't expect him to continue at anything close to that goal scoring pace.
Apr 27 - 10:05 AM

Kyle Brodziak is projected to return to Minnesota's lineup on Thursday night.

He was a healthy scratch in Game 3 but with Matt Cooke suspended, Brodziak will return to the Wild's fourth line. It's expected that he'll center a unit between Dany Heatley and Cody McCormick.
Apr 24 - 11:12 AM

Kyle Brodziak will be a healthy scratch in Game 3 Monday night.

"I think it's pretty obvious," Brodziak said. "I haven't been playing the best of my capability. It's a pretty big game tonight, so that's about it." He had a goal and a minus-3 rating in Game 1 and was limited to just 10:51 of ice time in Game 2. Justin Fontaine will take his place in the lineup and skate on the third line.
Apr 21 - 1:31 PM

Although he is a little banged up, Kyle Brodziak is hoping to play Sunday against Nashville in the Wild's regular season finale.

He hurt himself in Friday's game against the Blues but indicated he felt only a little discomfort and that he thinks he should be good to go Sunday against the Preds. If Brodziak does play, he will have dressed for all 82 of Minnesota's games this season.
Apr 12 - 1:31 PM

Kyle Brodziak scored two goals Thursday night in Minnesota's 4-2 win over St. Louis.

He snapped a 17-game goalless drought and an 11-game pointless slump. Brodziak has eight goals and 24 points in 81 games this campaign.
Apr 11 - 9:44 AM

Kyle Brodziak scored a goal in a 4-3 loss to Dallas on Saturday.

Brodziak has now found the back of the net in two straight games. He has six goals and 20 points in 63 games this season.
Mar 9 - 9:48 AM

Kyle Brodziak notched a goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-1 win against Phoenix.

Offense has been hard to come by for Brodziak this year. He has four goals and 13 points in 46 contests. He posted personal bests of 22 goals and 44 points in 2011-12, but that touch has eluded him for the last two seasons.
Jan 10 - 10:04 AM

Kyle Brodziak was awarded his first goal in 31 games Thursday night.

He was hauled down by Buffalo defenseman Christian Ehrhoff when the Sabres' net was empty, so he ended up being credited with a goal he desperately needed. Brodziak has three markers and 11 points in 43 contests this year.
Jan 3 - 9:38 AM

Kyle Brodziak has been bumped down to Minnesota's fourth line.

Brodziak has just two goals and 10 points in 40 games this season. We wouldn't count on him having any fantasy value in standard leagues.
Jan 1 - 12:56 PM

Kyle Brodziak might serve as a right winger on Friday based on Wednesday's practice lines.

That would give Brodziak an opportunity to play with Nino Niederreiter and Mikko Koivu. Brodziak has just two goals and four points in 13 games this season, but he would be worth a closer look if that line ends up sticking together.

Kyle Brodziak had a big fantasy night as a fourth liner Thursday.

The center, who had a terrible 2013 season with only eight goals and 12 points in 48 games, had an assist, three hits, three shots on goal and lost only two of nine faceoffs. "I was really happy to see him, the way he was skating, he looked really confident out there, winning his battles," coach Mike Yeo said. "He has to be physical, and he had a couple real good hits and that has to be part of his game. We can only say it so many times, 'Let's hit the reset button and everything,' but we're kidding ourselves if we think it's not in the back of our minds. For him to get off to a good start, I think that really allows him to hit that refresh button and focus on this year now." Don't pick him up yet in fantasy pools as he is still a fourth line player but he could be considered if he moves up the depth chart.
