Travis Zajac reached the 25-point milestone on Saturday.

Zajac registered an assist in the Devils' 3-2 shootout loss to Washington. He's played in 45 games so far in 2015-16. It's certainly a step up from last season when he finished with 25 points over 74 contests.

Travis Zajac notched a goal and three helpers in New Jersey's blowout 6-3 win over Ottawa on Thursday night.

The Devils led 5-0 after the first period and Zajac had a hand in the first four New Jersey goals. It was the first time in 23 games Zajac found the back of the net, giving him 23 points in 40 games this season.
Jan 21 - 10:29 PM

Travis Zajac has gone 21 straight games without a goal.

Devils coach John Hynes seems happy with Zajac's performance overall though. "First of all, his process to get the scoring chances is excellent," Hynes said. "Which means his game is in order. The one thing we can do better with Travis in certain situations is when he doesn't have those breakaways, two-on-ones or great scoring chances that he's earned the right to get, when he's an offensive zone player on the power play, (he needs ) net front presence using his body. Maybe to get one that's a tip or a dirty goal to try to get him going in the right direction." Hynes went on to assert that 95% of Zajac's game is fantastic.
Jan 8 - 6:25 PM

Travis Zajac had an assist in a 3-0 victory over Ottawa on Wednesday.

Zajac finished the month of December with no goals and four points in eight contests and that's after he recorded three points in his last two games. Perhaps we're seeing the beginning of a hot streak that will make up for some of his cold spells this season, but as things currently are, this is shaping up to be a mediocre season for Zajac, which would still be a significant step up from his disappointing 25-point 2014-15 campaign.

Travis Zajac registered two assists in a 3-2 victory over Carolina Tuesday night.

Between an upper-body injury and his recent slump, Zajac hadn't recorded a point since Dec. 1. He now has six goals and 11 assists in 29 contests in 2015-16.

Travis Zajac (upper body) will return to the Devils' lineup on Saturday night.

He will suit up against the Ducks. The injury forced Zajac to miss a total of seven games. The 30-year-old will be on a line with Kyle Palmieri (the left winger on the line has yet to be decided). Zajac has six goals and 15 points in 24 games in '15-16.

Travis Zajac (upper body) took part in Thursday's morning skate.

It was the first time Zajac had skated with his teammates since sustaining the injury on Dec. 3. He's skating as an extra forward, so don't expect him to return on Thursday.

Travis Zajac (upper body) will miss at least the Devils' next two games.

Thu, Dec 10, 2015 12:33:00 PM

Travis Zajac (upper body) has been placed on the injured reserve list.

The move is retroactive, so Zajac could be activated on Friday if he were healthy. The Devils decision to put him on the IR now is so that they can free up a roster spot to summon Joe Blandisi from the minors. They need the extra help after losing Adam Henrique (lower body) as well on Tuesday.
Thu, Dec 10, 2015 10:58:00 AM

Travis Zajac (upper body) will miss his third straight game Tuesday night.

He won't travel with the team to Toronto, but there wasn't a further update on his status. Zajac should still be considered day-to-day.
Mon, Dec 7, 2015 03:58:00 PM

Travis Zajac (upper body) will not play on Sunday and be re-evaluated on Monday.

Zajac was injured Thursday and missed Friday's contest against the Flyers. Zajac was having a nice comeback season and had 15 points in 24 games before the injury after an 11 goal, 25 point campaign last season. Consider him day-to-day for now.
Sat, Dec 5, 2015 07:43:00 AM

Travis Zajac (upper body) will not play on Friday.

Zajac was hurt during Thursday's contest. The Devils still haven't shared much information about Zajac's problem, but he's scheduled to see the doctor Friday night and Devils coach John Hynes expects to know more after that.
