The Devils are hoping the addition of Michael Cammalleri will help increase Travis Zajac's production.
Zajac meshed well with Jaromir Jagr last season and Cammalleri is expected to round out the Devils' top line. "You can see their skill," Zajac said of his linemates. "Obviously, playing with Jags last year I’m used to him, but Cammy, he’s going to get in positions to score. You can already see that. You can already see his release, how he gets the puck off. So, that will be fun to play with." Zajac had 48 points last season and we don't see him doing much better in 2014-15. Sep 24 - 9:43 AM

Travis Zajac had plenty of success with Jaromir Jagr last season and the duo is expected to play together again this year.

They are projected to be joined by newcomer Michael Cammalleri in 2014-15 and the line will likely debut in Monday's preseason opener versus the New York Rangers. "They are both talented players and Cammalleri is a shooter; you know he'll get to those tough areas to get the puck," Zajac said. "It's only been a couple of day, but you can see his release and positioning on the ice. He's going to score a lot of goals."
Sep 22 - 5:05 PM

Travis Zajac scored his first career hat trick and registered an assist on the way to a 6-3 victory against the Florida Panthers at Prudential Center Monday night.

Zajac now has 16 goals and 27 assists in 73 games this season. Veteran forward Jaromir Jagr also had a fantastic night with a goal and three assists, while Jacob Josefson scored a shorthanded goal for the Devils. Ryane Clowe scored a goal and registered two assists before he was injured in the second period and he did not played in the third period.
Apr 1 - 4:08 AM

Travis Zajac scored a goal and added an assist for the Devils in a 4-2 loss to Boston on Monday.

With seven points in his past five contests, Zajac is riding a nice little hot streak, which has raised his season total to 38 points in 67 games. Patrik Elias also scored a goal for New Jersey in the loss.
Mar 18 - 9:58 PM

Travis Zajac scored a goal in New Jersey's 2-1 win against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday.

Zajac has recorded at least a point in three of his last four games. He has 12 goals and 35 points in 64 contests in 2013-14.
Mar 12 - 9:40 AM

Travis Zajac has been moved from the Devils' first to second line.

Zajac will no longer be playing with Jaromir Jagr, but he will skate alongside Patrik Elias and Damien Brunner. Jagr didn't seem happy with this move and the two had displayed some on-ice chemistry, but Zajac also has experience playing with Elias. In the end, this shift shouldn't alter Zajac's fantasy value.
Feb 5 - 9:48 AM

Travis Zajac had an assist in the Devils' 1-0 victory on Thursday.

Zajac got off to a rough start this season, but he's put that behind him with three goals and 10 points in his last 15 games. He'll probably just do okay from here on out with 20-30 points in New Jersey's final 37 contests.
Jan 10 - 9:52 AM

Travis Zajac scored the game-winning goal for the Devils in their 2-1 victory over the Islanders on Saturday night.

Four years ago, Zajac appeared to be on the cusp of becoming one of the great young centers in the game. Since back-to-back campaigns tallying 20 or more goals and 62 or more points, though, he's been nothing fantasy owners should be clamoring for. This goal was his seventh, and he has 18 points on the season. Adam Henrique notched the other marker. Reid Boucher, Michael Ryder, Marek Zidlicky and Jaromir Jagr recorded assists.

Travis Zajac's three-game point streak came to an end on Monday.

Zajac got off to a slow start this season, but he's been gradually improving. He has two goals and seven points in 11 games this month, to bring him up to 17 points in 36 contests overall. That's not terrible, but the Devils were likely hoping for more out of him after they lost Ilya Kovalchuk.

Travis Zajac technically scored the game-winning goal in the Devils' 4-3 overtime win against Anaheim on Wednesday.

What actually happened was Zajac kicked the puck to Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller and after that was stopped, Ducks defenseman Ben Lovejoy's clearing attempt bounced off Corey Perry and into the goal. So basically Anaheim accidentally scored on themselves and Zajac just got credit for the goal as a matter of course. "I'll take them any way," Zajac said. "That was one of the luckiest goals I've ever scored, but I'll take those any day of the week."

Travis Zajac is turning his slow start to 2013-14 around as he's posted four points during his last five outings.

Zajac started 2013-14 in tremendously slow fashion with four points in the first 14 contests, but has produced a nice turnaround with four points during the last five games. One of the big keys to his turnaround has been the fact that he's been spending a lot of his shifts alongside Jaromir Jagr (close to 75 percent). His shots on goal per game average (1.4) is still a bit low to make him an elite fantasy option, but if you're desperate for help up the middle, Zajac is definitely an option considering he's just five percent owned in Yahoo! leagues.

Travis Zajac's goal on Sunday was the 100th of his NHL career.

Zajac has been slumping this season with only two goals and five points in 15 games. He is a top-six player so perhaps this goal will break him out of his slump.

Travis Zajac (ankle) will be back in the Devils' lineup on Thursday.

Zajac was sidelined for two games due to the ailment. He'll try to provide an offensive boost to a team that wasn't able to score a single goal during his absence. That said, Zajac has been cold too with just a goal and four points in 12 games this season.

Travis Zajac (ankle) will not play Saturday night.

He rolled his right ankle when he caught a rut in the ice Friday. It is unclear whether he will travel with the team to Minnesota for Sunday's game. Jacob Josefson will play in his place.

Travis Zajac acknowledged it will be a "little bit" strange to play against Zach Parise on Sunday.

Parise spent his first seven seasons with the Devils, but will now face them for the first time Sunday. "It will probably be weirder for him than us," Zajac said. "You play against guys that you played with all the time now. Obviously, he was a big part of the team when he was here. Now, we get the chance to try and shut him down."
