Erik Christensen is tied for the goal scoring lead in the KHL.

It's true! The Wild pivot has bulged the twine seven times in 12 games for Lev SKA and is tied with former NHLer Alexander Korolyuk. Now if he can just take that scoring touch to Minnesota. Well that's a bit hopeful don't you think?

Erik Christensen netted a hat trick for HC Lev Praha in their 4-0 win over HC Yugra.

Christensen dressed in 49 games between the New York Rangers and Minnesota Wild last season prior to signing in the KHL this past June. He will remain overseas regardless of when the lockout ends. Philadelphia winger Jakub Voracek, who will return to the NHL once a new CBA is in place, picked up an assist on Christensen's third marker of the match.

Erik Christensen has signed on to play in the KHL next season.

Christensen signed with HC Lev Praha following a season in which he was frequently a healthy scratch for the Rangers before being dealt to Minnesota. He was 7-5-12 and minus-11 in 47 games between the two clubs.

Erik Christensen isn't likely to be back in Minnesota next season.

Christensen was dealt from the New York Rangers to the Wild in early February. But just like every team he's been with, he's been extremely inconsistent. He started off his time with the Wild with no points and a minus-13 rating in his first 15 games, then had six goals in 10 games with the Wild out of the playoffs. "When we're looking at guys that we want wearing a Minnesota Wild jersey, there's certain elements and there's certain characteristics," Yeo said. "I think one of them has to be a gamer -- a big-game player. You want guys that want to be on the ice when the game's on the line, you want guys that perform at the best when games are most meaningful."

Erik Christensen had the game-tying goal and an assist as the Minnesota Wild snuck past the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 in a shootout Saturday night.

It was the center's second consecutive game with a goal, but he still only has seven on the year. He's always shown glimpses on offense, but his consistency and compete level away on defense have also always been lacking, curbing the amount of games he's played. Darroll Powe (sixth) and Nick Johnson (eighth) potted the other goals. Justin Falk and Jason Zucker eached had two helpers.

Erik Christensen scored a pair of goals in a 4-3 loss to Calgary Sunday.

In his 16th game with the Wild, Christensen finally notched his first two points. With a minus-11 rating during that span, it should go without saying he has no fantasy value. Devin Setoguchi also scored in the loss for Minnesota.

Erik Christensen will be a healthy scratch on Thursday.

He hasn't scored in 12 games with the Wild since being acquired from the Rangers and he has posted an abysmal minus-11 rating during that time.

Erik Christensen is thrilled to be with the Minnesota Wild after his trade from the Rangers on Friday.

Christensen will provide the Wild with some much needed offense and the team gets a proven shootout goal scorer, something lacking on the squad as they are near the bottom during shootouts. "It's incredibly difficult; you kind of feel like you're dead weight," Christensen said as he was a healthy scratch numerous times for the Rangers. "I was almost ecstatic when they asked me to go down (to the AHL) for a conditioning stint. I thought, 'Great, I'll get a chance to play.' I was playing in a lot of systems, killing penalties, getting some experience. But playing in the NHL is where I wanted to be." He is projected to start on the third line with Darroll Powe and Carson McMillan, replacing Chad Rau.

The Minnesota Wild have acquired Erik Christensen and a conditional seventh round pick from the New York Rangers in exchange for Casey Wellman.

Christensen has spent a large chunk of the 2011-12 season in the press box, so this is great news for him. That being said, even if he plays regularly, Christensen isn't expected to have any fantasy value with the Wild.

The Rangers recall Erik Christensen from Connecticut (AHL) where he was sent for conditioning purposes.

A healthy scratch for 10 straight games, Christensen agreed to report to Connecticut on Jan. 11 to get in a little work. He played five games with the Whale and put home a pair of goals. The 29-year-old Christensen last played for the Rangers on Dec. 17 and has appeared in 20 NHL games, recording 1-4-5.

Erik Christensen has agreed to head down to the minors on a conditioning stint.

GM Glen Sather announced the forward's reassignment on Wednesday. Christensen has sat frequently as a healthy scratch this season, while appearing in just 20 games for the Rangers.

The New York Rangers are reportedly considering sending Erik Christensen down to the minors.

He hasn't played since Dec. 17 and has skated in 20 games this season. Christensen would have to give his consent to the move, but could find himself on waivers if he rejects the move.
