Tomas Fleischmann scored his first goal since Dec. 10th, a span of 15 games for him, during Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over Toronto.
With the tally, Fleischmann now has nine goals on the season and is shooting at a 10.5% clip. The latter is his highest mark since scoring 27 goals with Florida in the 2011-12 season when he shot 12.4%. However it's worth noting that since that time he's scored just 37 goals including this season's contribution. Jan 23 - 11:50 PM

Tomas Fleischmann will be a healthy scratch for a second consecutive game when the Canadiens face off against the Penguins Saturday night.

Fleischmann has struggled the past month and Montreal coach Michel Therrien has obviously seen enough. Defenseman Jared Tinordi will join Fleischmann in the press box Saturday evening.
Jan 9 - 10:22 AM

Tomas Fleischmann, Greg Pateryn and Jarred Tinordi will be scratched on Wednesday against the New Jersey Devils.

Sven Andrighetto will slide into Fleischmann's spot. Adjust your rosters accordingly. Fleischmann is clearly the biggest name among the group, but with negligible fantasy value lately, he's likely on your bench as well.

Tomas Fleischmann will be a healthy scratch on Wednesday.

Fleischmann played in all of Montreal's first 41 contests. He has eight goals and 17 points thus far, but he has just two points in his last 19 games.
Jan 6 - 4:11 PM

Tomas Fleischmann scored his eighth goal of the season in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Montreal.

That snaps a seven-game pointless slump for the 31-year-old, but due to a productive start to the year, he has 16 points in 30 games so far this season. He is on pace to score more than 40 points this year.

Tomas Fleischmann recorded a shorthanded goal in Sunday's 4-2 win versus the Islanders.

It was his seventh goal of the year and just the second shorthanded marker of his career. Fleischmann hadn't scored while killing a penalty since 2012-13 campaign with the Florida Panthers.

Forward Tomas Fleischmann picked up a goal and an assist in the Montreal Canadiens' 4-3 overtime victory

Fleischmann is enjoying a nice season with Montreal and is quietly having a good fantasy season. He now has five goals and eight assists. Fleischmann's assist came on the game-winning, overtime goal by David Desharnais, his sixth of the season. Also scoring goals for Montreal were Lars Eller (six) in a shorthanded situation and Max Pacioretty (ninth). The Canadiens trailed 3-0 in this game until Eller's goal at 8:40 of the second period.

Tomas Fleischmann scored twice and added an assist in Montreal's 5-1 victory versus Winnipeg on Sunday.

Fleischmann has collected four goals and 10 points in 13 games this season. His 17.4 shooting percentage is bound to regress, but he is still on track to bounce back nicely from a disappointing 2014-15 campaign.

Tomas Fleischmann notched a goal and an assist in the Habs home opener on Thursday night, a 3-0 win for the home side.

Fleischmann found his way on the score sheet for the second straight game after producing zeroes in his first three games. The 31-year-old now has three points in five games, but at this point is no guarantee to produce good numbers at a consistent pace.

Tomas Fleischmann has signed a one-year contract with the Montreal Canadiens.

The deal is reportedly worth $750,000. The 31-year-old was invited to camp on a professional tryout and he made quite an impression. Fleischmann found instant chemistry with linemates David Desharnais and Dale Weise. The trio is expected to open the season as Montreal's third line. Fleischmann scored eight goals and 27 points in 66 games with Florida and Anaheim in 2014-15.

Tomas Fleischmann will get another chance to impress the Montreal coaching staff Saturday night against Ottawa.

Tomas Fleischmann had another strong game for the Canadiens on Saturday night.

That didn't translate into any points in the game, but Fleischmann has already made quite an impression in Montreal. The 31-year-old showed some nice chemistry with linemates Dale Weise and David Desharnais versus the Leafs. "I’d like to score a goal or two, but I think I’m getting chances and doing the things I have to do," said the veteran Fleischmann. "I think we have good chemistry on that line and it’s come together quickly." Fleischmann is in camp on a professional tryout so his spot on the roster is far from guaranteed. The Canadiens have a lot of bodies up front so at the very least, Fleischmann will force them to make a tough decision.

The veteran is in camp on a PTO and appeared to have nice chemistry with David Desharnais, who also had a goal and an assist on Thursday. Alex Galchenyuk scored the other goal, while Dustin Tokarski made 19 saves on 22 shots in 32 minutes of work.
