This is just an FYI. Assuming Janssen survives the Devils' final round of cuts - which is far from guaranteed - he will probably be over his sickness in time for Thursday's game against Philadelphia.

Cam Janssen (knee) is good to play Wednesday.

Janssen's status was put in doubt after he left Tuesday's practice due to the ailment. Fortunately, his knee injury wasn't more serious than a deep bruise. "I just iced it and did what I had to do and woke up this morning, got out of bed and walked around and felt pretty good," Janssen said.

Cam Janssen scored his third goal of the season on Saturday.

Janssen has accomplished in 16 games this season what it took him 312 games before this year to do: score three goals in the NHL. He now has six career goals but his fantasy value is usually in the penalty minute category where he has only 12 minutes this season.

Cam Janssen has agreed to a one-year, two-way deal with the New Jersey Devils.
