Ole-Kristian Tollefsen was tossed from Tuesday's game after delivering a vicious hit to Slovakia's Lubos Bartecko in the first period.
He received a five-minute major for attempt to injure, a misconduct and a game misconduct on the play. The back of Bartecko's head hit the ice and he left the game on a stretcher with a concussion. Thankfully, the injury is not believed to be serious. Wed, Feb 24, 2010 03:34:00 AM

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen was not in the lineup for Norway on Tuesday due to an illness in his family.

He arrived in Vancouver late as a result, but is expected to be in the lineup Thursday versus the United States.

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen missed Tuesday night's perliminary Olympic hockey game against Canada.

There was no reason provided as to why Tollefsen, who was one of only two Norwegians with NHL experience, was not able to suit up. If we find anything out we will pass it along.

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen has successfully cleared waivers.

The Red Wings have assigned Tollefsen to AHL Grand Rapids. Detroit acquired Tollefsen and a fifth round pick from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Ville Leino.

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen has been placed on waivers by the Red Wings.

If he clears he will be assigned to Grand Rapids in the AHL. Detroit traded forward Ville Leino in exchange for Tollefsen, and a fifth-round pick, on Saturday to make room for the pending return of Johan Franzen to their lineup.

The Flyers have traded rugged defenseman Ole-Kristian Tollefsen to Detroit for forward Ville Leino.

The 25-year-old rearguard will add some toughness to the Red Wing blueline. He certainly wasn't getting much of an opportunity in Philly so this trade can't hurt his fantasy value.

He will play against the Leafs Thursday after Danny Syvret went down with an injury.

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen (knee) has been given the green light to return to the Flyers' lineup.

Tollefsen practiced on Monday and should be activated off the injury reserve list this week. He has two points and 17 penalty minutes in 10 NHL games this season.

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen (knee) is nearing a return to the lineup.

Tollefsen has been out since mid-December with a sprained MCL in his left knee. He has practiced the past three days and should be activated soon. He will have to battle Danny Syvret, however, for the role of sixth defender.

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen (concussion) returned to the Flyers' lineup Monday, but left the game in the second period due to a new injury.

Tollefsen was forced to leave the game due to a sprained knee. GM Paul Holmgren said Tollefsen will miss another three weeks because of the new injury. We'll keep you posted.

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen (slight concussion) is doubtful for Thursday's game.

The good news is Tollefsen was able to participate in Tuesday's practice. He has two assists and 17 penalty minutes in nine games this season.

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen sustained a mild concussion on Saturday night and left the game in the third period.

The injury occurred when the defenseman fell into the boards and he will be sidelined indefinitely.

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen is expected to draw back into the Flyers' lineup after Ryan Parent went down with a groin injury.

Tollefsen has appeared in just two games for Philadelphia this season and will likely be teamed with Danny Syvret on the third defense pairing. The Flyers will also likely call someone up from the minors as well.

Ole-Kristian Tollefsen played the last two games in favor of Danny Syvret.

The Flyers blueline is set except for the sixth defender. Tollefsen and Syvret will likely be in a rotation throughout the season. Neither has much fantasy upside.
