The Columbus Blue Jackets have sent Ryan Craig to the minors.

Craig is expected to be recalled for Thursday's game in Phoenix. Craig has been yoyoing between Columbus and Springfield of late as he was recalled Saturday, sent down Sunday, recalled Monday and sent down again yesterday. He has no points in three games but is getting a lot of air miles for future use of late.

Ryan Craig has been summoned by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Craig was just sent to the minors on Sunday, but the Blue Jackets decided to bring him back so that he could travel with the team to Denver as an extra forward. He has 12 points and 19 penalty minutes in 22 AHL games this season.

Craig will earn $525,000 if he plays at the NHL level. He's a depth player who is expected to spend the majority of the 2011-12 season in the AHL.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled four forwards from their minor-league affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Ryan Craig, Nick Johnson, Brett Sterling and Joe Vitale have been summoned from the AHL as the Penguins' active roster has been run thin due to injuries and Matt Cooke's suspension. At least three of the minor-league reinforcements are expected to be in the lineup on Thursday night against Los Angeles.
