Blake Comeau enjoyed a three-point night in the Penguins’ 4-2 win over the Blues on Saturday night.
Comeau scored twice and assisted on Brandon Sutter’s third-period marker. He has 14 goals and 25 points in 38 games, so while he’s been a steal for those who took a chance on him, he’s probably hard to spin off. Patric Hornqvist picked up the other goal. Robert Bortuzzo had 12 penalty minutes. Feb 22 - 12:30 AM

No specifics were shared, but the Pittsburgh Penguins might mix up their lines going into Saturday's game against the St. Louis Blues.

Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby are likely to create offense - or at least chances - on their own, but fringe guys like Blake Comeau definitely are at risk of losing some prominence if changes end up pushing them away from more lucrative setups.
Feb 21 - 5:24 PM

Blake Comeau had a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over Detroit Wednesday night.

It was Comeau's first game since suffering an upper-body injury on Dec. 22. "Once I got that first shift out of the way and got back into the game, it got the nerves out of me," Comeau said, "and I went out and played." He played on a line with Evgeni Malkin and Patrick Hornqvist and as long as that trio stays together, Comeau won't be a bad guy to own in standard leagues.
Feb 12 - 9:47 AM

Blake Comeau will return to the Penguins lineup Wednesday versus the Detroit Red Wings.

Comeau had been sidelined since December 22nd when he suffered an upper-body injury but will return to the wing alongside Evgeni Malkin and Patrick Hornqvist for Wednesday's showdown with the Wings. He has 11 goals and 19 points with a plus six rating in 32 games with the Pens this year. With Malkin as his linemate, Comeau can be a valuable fantasy commodity going forward.
Feb 11 - 7:49 PM

Blake Comeau (wrist) might be back on Wednesday.

Comeau hasn't been available since Dec. 22. He took part in a physical practice on Monday though, which left him optimistic. "It feels good," Comeau said. "It was a long six weeks of skating on my own, skating with no puck. It feels good to be back with the guys." Coach Mike Johnston cautioned that nothing has been finalized with regards to Wednesday's game.

Comeau suffered the wrist injury on December 22 and is close to returning to the lineup. He has 11 goals and 19 points in 32 games this season. Just an FYI as he will likely be a third line player since the Penguins picked up David Perron during his absence.

Blake Comeau suffered a wrist injury during Monday's game.

Comeau sustained the injury in the third period and that forced him to miss the remainder of Pittsburgh's 4-3 shootout loss. It's not clear how significant Comeau's injury is, but between the ailments that the Penguins have been dealing with and their battles with the mumps, this injury comes at a very inopportune time.

Blake Comeau scored the one and only goal of Thursday night's game versus Colorado, beating Calvin Pickard 2:24 into overtime to secure a 1-0 win.

Comeau converted on a backhander which was assisted by Evgeni Malkin and Rob Scuderi. It was Pittsburgh's 48th shot of the game and Comeau's 11th goal and 19th point through 30 games.

Blake Comeau scored a hat trick in Pittsburgh's 4-3 overtime win over Toronto.

Comeau scored a goal in the first, second and overtime periods to lead the Penguins to victory. With the long-term injury to Pascal Dupuis, Comeau has had the opportunity to play a bigger role with the club. The 28-year-old now has eight goals and 13 points in 20 games this season. He could be a sneaky add if he keeps playing on Pittsburgh's top two lines.

Blake Comeau will get the first crack at replacing Pascal Dupuis on Sidney Crosby's right wing Friday night against the Islanders.

Said Crosby, "And for [Comeau], he's a great skater. He has a great shot. He's hard on pucks. But with [Comeau's] speed I think he should be able to create a lot that way." This might be the best thing that's ever happened to the former Islanders second round pick in 2004.

Blake Comeau made a quick recovery from an illness on Friday and scored his fourth of the season.

Comeau missed the Toronto game Friday but was back on a line with Evgeni Malkin and Patric Hornqvist Saturday. The dream job is working nicely for Comeau who now has nine points in 15 games. He is worth a shot in deeper fantasy pools as long as he remains on Malkin's line.
