Blake Comeau should have no trouble feeling at home with the Avalanche.
Comeau has a number of long-standing relationships with current Avalanche players. He is friendly with Jarome Iginla and Alex Tanguay from his days with the Flames and is a member of the Kelowna Rockets Alumni, an organization which Tyson Barrie is very active in. That said, Comeau is likely to play on Colorado's third line and will have limited to no fantasy value in 2015-16. Jul 4 - 11:41 AM

Blake Comeau has signed a three-year/$7.2 million contract with the Colorado Avalanche.

Comeau had 16 goals and 31 points with the Penguins but he was expected to have better stats than that considering he saw time on the Penguins top two lines. He will likely be a bottom-six forward in Colorado so his fantasy value will be limited at best.
Jul 1 - 12:44 PM

Blake Comeau can become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

The Penguins may still be in the mix for his services. Comeau generated 16 goals and 15 assists in 61 games last season, while playing for $700,000.
Jun 30 - 4:58 PM

Blake Comeau would like to stay with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Comeau is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. "[Blake] is definitely interested in the possibility of returning to Pittsburgh," Kurt Overhardt said. "It's our goal to try and work something out, but of course we always have July 1 pending." Comeau had 16 goals and 31 points in 61 contests in 2014-15.
May 15 - 4:54 PM

Blake Comeau netted the Penguins' only goal of Game 1 on Thursday night as Pittsburgh fell 2-1 on the road in New York.

Comeau's second period marker was assisted by Ben Lovejoy and Nick Spaling. The 29-year-old managed 31 points in 61 games during the regular season.
Apr 16 - 10:37 PM

Blake Comeau recorded his first goal in nine games when he opened the scoring mid way through Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Blues.

Comeau was the beneficiary of Daniel Winnik's extra efforts to create a scoring opportunity as Comeau simply readied himself for the tap-in. He now has 16 goals and 29 points through 52 games this season.
Mar 25 - 12:46 AM

The Pittsburgh Penguins saw some decent efforts in a 2-0 loss to the Boston Bruins on Sunday.

Blake Comeau generated six SOG and eight hits. Patric Hornqvist had a versatile afternoon, too, producing two PIM, four SOG, five hits and one blocked shot (albeit with a -1 and no points).
Mar 14 - 3:58 PM

Blake Comeau is not 100 percent healthy and will play the rest of the season with an achy wrist.

Comeau hurt his wrist on December 22 and missed over seven weeks of action before returning on February 11. "(Pain) still lingers," Comeau said. "I still have to tape it up. It still gives out, depending on if I have one hand on my stick in battle drills. I feel like when I'm in the game, the adrenaline of it, you don't feel it as much." He has 15 goals and 28 points in 46 games with a plus-14 rating and 42 penalty minutes. That's pretty good production.
Mar 14 - 10:00 AM

Blake Comeau opened the scoring midway through the game, and later added an assist during Friday night's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Comeau absolutely ripped one through Frederik Andersen's glove to start the Penguins en route to a 4-0 lead into the third period. With 15 goals, Comeau now ranks fifth on the team in that department, and the assist gives him 28 points for the season through 43 games. Comeau is having a resurgent season, having last scored this much with the NY Islanders in 2010-11 with 24 goals and 46 points.
Mar 7 - 1:23 AM

Blake Comeau enjoyed a three-point night in the Penguins’ 4-2 win over the Blues on Saturday night.

Comeau scored twice and assisted on Brandon Sutter’s third-period marker. He has 14 goals and 25 points in 38 games, so while he’s been a steal for those who took a chance on him, he’s probably hard to spin off. Patric Hornqvist picked up the other goal. Robert Bortuzzo had 12 penalty minutes.
Feb 22 - 12:30 AM

No specifics were shared, but the Pittsburgh Penguins might mix up their lines going into Saturday's game against the St. Louis Blues.

Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby are likely to create offense - or at least chances - on their own, but fringe guys like Blake Comeau definitely are at risk of losing some prominence if changes end up pushing them away from more lucrative setups.
Feb 21 - 5:24 PM

Blake Comeau had a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over Detroit Wednesday night.

It was Comeau's first game since suffering an upper-body injury on Dec. 22. "Once I got that first shift out of the way and got back into the game, it got the nerves out of me," Comeau said, "and I went out and played." He played on a line with Evgeni Malkin and Patrick Hornqvist and as long as that trio stays together, Comeau won't be a bad guy to own in standard leagues.
Feb 12 - 9:47 AM

Blake Comeau will return to the Penguins lineup Wednesday versus the Detroit Red Wings.

Comeau had been sidelined since December 22nd when he suffered an upper-body injury but will return to the wing alongside Evgeni Malkin and Patrick Hornqvist for Wednesday's showdown with the Wings. He has 11 goals and 19 points with a plus six rating in 32 games with the Pens this year. With Malkin as his linemate, Comeau can be a valuable fantasy commodity going forward.
Feb 11 - 7:49 PM

Blake Comeau (wrist) might be back on Wednesday.

Comeau hasn't been available since Dec. 22. He took part in a physical practice on Monday though, which left him optimistic. "It feels good," Comeau said. "It was a long six weeks of skating on my own, skating with no puck. It feels good to be back with the guys." Coach Mike Johnston cautioned that nothing has been finalized with regards to Wednesday's game.
Feb 10 - 11:30 AM

Blake Comeau (wrist) is expected to start practicing with the Penguins on Monday.

Comeau suffered the wrist injury on December 22 and is close to returning to the lineup. He has 11 goals and 19 points in 32 games this season. Just an FYI as he will likely be a third line player since the Penguins picked up David Perron during his absence.
