He skipped Tuesday's practice because of an illness, but he is ready to play against Philadelphia. Soderberg is projected to start on the fourth line again with Andreas Martinsen and Cody McLeod.

Carl Soderberg skated on the fourth line Sunday versus Toronto.

He had been averaging 16:27 of ice time, but that dropped to 11:16 on Sunday night. Soderberg played between Cody McLeod and Andreas Martinsen. He has recorded just four goals and four assists in 27 contests this season.

Carl Soderberg scored his fourth goal of the season Thursday.

He halted a seven-game goalless slump with his former team, the Boston Bruins, in Denver to face the Avalanche. Sodeberg had 51 points in 82 games last year, but he is off to a slow start in 2016-17 with eight points through 25 contests.

He salted the game away at the 12:22 mark of the third period. Soderberg produced 39 assists, along with his 51 points, in 82 games last season, but he hasn't chipped in any helpers yet so far in 2016-17.

Carl Soderberg scored the second Avalanche goal at the 10:31 mark of the second period. The Avs beat the Wild 2-0 Wednesday night.

Soderberg provided a little breathing room only one minute after Chris Bigras scored what was to become the game winning goal at the 9:18 minute mark in period two. Soderberg scored 12 goals in 82 games for the Avalanche last year.

Carl Soderberg tallied a goal for Sweden in Thursday's pre-tournament loss to Finland.

He gave the Swedes a 2-1 lead in the third period after Loui Eriksson evened the score at 1-1 before the end of the first frame. However, Finland scored late on a goal by Mikael Granlund and Olli Maatta won the match in overtime.

With his goal during Friday's 4-3 shootout win over Calgary, Soderberg is now up to 12 goals and 46 points this season. His career highs, mind you, are 16 goals and 48 points he set as a rookie two seasons ago with Boston.
