Wheeler has now scored a goal in three straight games and he has five points overall in his last three games. He now has 27 goals and 37 assists in 74 games this season. Jacob Trouba, Matt Halischuk and Eric Tangradi also scored for the Jets.

Wheeler's power play goal came at 8:56 of the third period. The rangy winger has taken his play to another level this season, tying his career-high in points with 64 and easily surpassing his career-best in goals with 27. Matt Halischuk scored the other goal, his fourth of the season.

Wheeler now has 62 points in 74 games this season. Defensemen Dustin Byfuglien and Tobias Enstrom also scored for the Jets, while Michael Frolik added two helpers in the victory. Andrew Ladd also had a goal for the Jets.

Blake Wheeler appeared to be hurt after he was pushed into the Dallas Stars' open gate during the third period of Monday night's contest.

He left the ice in pain but managed to return for the final moments of the contest. Coach Paul Maurice appreciated Wheeler's toughness once the game was over saying, "You guys just saw him walking around here and you can see the condition he's in. That's the kind of thing a franchise can hang its hat on. Guys that care." The Jets may have dodged a bullet, as it looks like Wheeler is all right. We'll let you know if we hear otherwise, though.

Wheeler not only scored the game-winning overtime marker, but also dished out a pair of assists to help lift Winnipeg to the win. Andrew Ladd also registered a pair of goals in the victory while Evander Kane and Eric Tangradi chipped in with tallies of their own.

Forward Blake Wheeler registered four assists in the Winnipeg Jets' 7-2 rout of the visiting Dallas Stars Sunday night.

Wheeler now has 33 assists on the season, but he was hardly the only Jet who was flying high Sunday. Three Winnipeg players turned in three-point nights. Dustin Byfuglien scored two goals and had an assist. The big guy is hot -- he now has six goals in his past five games. Tobias Enstrom notched a goal and two assists against Dallas. Ditto for Olli Jokinen. Jacob Trouba, Michael Frolik and Evander Kane scored the other goals for Winnipeg, which actually trailed 2-1 in the first period before rattling off six consecutive goals against the overmatched Stars.

Wheeler now has 23 goals on the season and has been on fire of late with 31 points over his last 32 contests. Bryan Little also found the back of the net in the Winnipeg win.

He served as an extra forward, but he dressed in all six games. Wheeler averaged just 4:54 of ice time per contest whereas he plays 18:16 per outing with the Winnipeg Jets. He also leads the Jets with 22 goals and 48 points in 60 games.

The Jets winger played 28 seconds and took a penalty, then didn't see the ice after that. As the 13th forward, Wheeler also played 4:10 in the first game. There's a chance we could see Derek Stepan, who has sat the first two games, make his Olympic debut Sunday against Slovenia.

The Blackhawks had taken a 1-0 lead only 1:21 into the game. The Jets' other goal scorer Sunday was Andrew Ladd. The unassisted goal was Ladd's 12th of the season.

Wheeler stopped a mini-three game scoring slide with his 32nd point of the 2013-14 campaign. He's remained relatively consistent in the scoring department, while Jets leader Bryan Little (34 points) has been struggling of late. It may not be long before Wheeler overtakes Little for the club lead.
