Do note that the Winnipeg Jets are resting many key players in a match against the Calgary Flames that lacks much meaning.

Blake Wheeler, Bryan Little, Tyler Myers, Andrew Ladd and Jacob Trouba appear to be getting a break along with Ondrej Pavelec. Adjust your lineups accordingly.

Blake Wheeler scored his 26th goal of the season in the Winnipeg Jets' 2-0 triumph over the Wild in Minnesota Monday night.

Wheeler's goal came on a power play at 4:12 of the first period. The Jets made it 2-0 on a goal by Drew Stafford, his 17th, at 13:10 of the second period. The victory was vital for the Jets. They went into the game needing a win in regulation to move to within two points of the Wild, who hold the first wild card into the playoffs from the Western Conference.

Blake Wheeler scored his 23rd goal in a 5-2 loss to Vancouver on Tuesday.

The speedster also added three shots on goal and seven hits in the losing cause. Wheeler has five points in his last five games and 57 points in 72 games overall for the Jets this season. He may be hard pressed to match his career high of 69 points from last season but with a strong finish he just might. Jiri Tlusty added the other goal for the Jets.

Blake Wheeler believes that the Jets are having success because they have found their identity on the ice.

"We have an identity now," said Wheeler. "In the past that was a little bit of an issue. We’d come into games and we always worked hard, that was never our problem, it was just working hard in the right areas at the same time and with the same goal in mind. We have five guys on the same page now and that makes us tough to play against." The Jets have a four point lead over Los Angeles for the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.

Blake Wheeler scored two goals and added an assist for Winnipeg Tuesday as they dumped the struggling Sharks by a score of 5-2.

Wheeler's play over the last few weeks deserves some attention, as the slick winger has recorded points in five straight outings and has racked up 11 points in his last 11 contests. Andrew Ladd, Mark Scheifele and Adam Lowry also scored for the Jets in an important victory.
Mar 17 - 11:07 PM

Blake Wheeler potted the game-winning goal for the Jets in their 2-1 triumph over the Lightning on Saturday night.

Wheeler scored as part of a three-goal third period. The Lightning scored 4:13 in, then Drew Stafford tied it up about six minutes later on the power play. Wheeler’s 20th goal put the Jets ahead nearly three minutes later. He has points in four consecutive games, with three goals and six points over that stretch. Altogether, he has 52 points, so it’s been a pretty strong season for the 6-foot-5 winger. Jacob Trouba had 12 penalty minutes.
Mar 14 - 10:07 PM

Blake Wheeler scored a goal and added an assist for the Jets in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to St. Louis.

It's the second straight for Wheeler in which he records a goal and an assist and the third such game in his last four. The underappreciated winger has now reached the 50-point mark for the third straight season (excluding the 2012-13 shortened campaign) and stands a good chance of reaching 60 in his third straight. Andrew Ladd also scored a goal and an assist in the win while Michael Frolik and Lee Stempniak also found the back of the net for Winnipeg.
Mar 10 - 11:27 PM

Blake Wheeler’s two-point night helped lead the Jets to a 3-1 win over the Predators on Saturday.

He scored and assisted. Wheeler remains one of the more underrated forwards in the league, though with 18 goals and 30 assists, he’s unlikely to get anywhere close to the career highs set last season (28 goals, 69 points). Drew Stafford also had a goal and an assist. Michael Frolik scored his 15th in the win as well.
