Blake Wheeler scored a goal in a 4-3 loss to the Arizona Coyotes on Friday.

Ehlers' shot deflected off of Wheeler and found its way past Mike Smith with just over one minute remaining in regulation. The Jets have now suffered two straight losses leaving many players frustrated. Wheeler confirmed to the media post-game that there was a 15-minute players only meeting at the conclusion of the game. At approximately the midway point of the season, the Jets find themselves three points back of the last Wild Card spot and will need to pick up their play if they want to make the post-season. Blake Wheeler is now up to 13 goals and 35 points in 45 games this season. Mark Stuart and Shawn Matthias also scored for Winnipeg in the loss.

Blake Wheeler scored an unassisted goal in the third period of the Winnipeg Jets' 2-0 shutout of the visiting Calgary Flames Monday night.

The goal was Wheeler's 12th of the season. In the first period, the Jets took a 1-0 lead on Dustin Byfuglien's sixth goal of the season. Nikolaj Ehlers collected his 23rd assist on Byfuglien's goal. Right wing Drew Stafford, who replaced rookie scoring sensation Patrik Laine (concussion) on the Jets' top line, also drew an assist on Byfuglien's game- winning goal.

Blake Wheeler scored the only Jets goal Tuesday night as Winnipeg dropped a 4-1 contest to the Vancouver Canucks.

Blake Wheeler drew first blood in the first period at the 14:08 minute mark and the Jets held that advantage until nearly midway through the second. This extended his point streak to three straight games after getting a goal Sunday night against the Colorado Avalanche and an assist Thursday against the Florida Panthers. The Jets won both of those contests. Wheeler now has 10 goals for the season.

The Winnipeg Jets lost all five games of their road trip.

The Jets began their road trip on Nov. 17 at Philadelphia. They lost that game and then dropped decisions in Boston, Carolina, Minnesota and Nashville. At the start of the trip, they were in second place in their division, but now they're out of a playoff spot. "When you're in the midst of a four-game losing streak, you look to your leaders to pull you out of it and that wasn't the game we needed from us," Blake Wheeler said after the loss to Nashville on Friday. "It starts with me. I'm the leader of this team and I need to be better when we're going through a tough time like this. It wasn't good enough."

Blake Wheeler scored a goal and two assists in Winnipeg's 5-4 OT win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Jets opened the scoring, when Shawn Matthias found the back of the net four minutes into the game, but Carolina responded by scoring four unanswered goals to go up 4-1. That's when Winnipeg went to work. Wheeler scored a shorthanded goal in the third period to cut the deficit to 4-2 and he picked up the primary assist on Matthieu Perreault's game-tying goal with 1:29 left in regulation. In the extra frame, Wheeler picked up the only assist on Mark Scheifele's game-winning goal.
