Bryan Little scored a goal in Tuesday's 2-1 shootout win over the St. Louis Blues.

Little opened the scoring 15 seconds into the second period. Dustin Byfuglien and Tobias Enstrom picked up the assists on Winnipeg's only goal in regulation. Little has 16 goals and 39 points in 53 games this season. Mark Scheifele scored the game-winning goal in the shootout.

"I feel like I'm playing well and we're getting scoring chances," Little said. "It would be one thing if I wasn't getting any shots or not doing anything out there. But we're getting chances — real good chances. And I think it's just a matter of relaxing when you do get those chances." He didn't participate in the morning skate after leaving Monday's session early. Coach Paul Maurice said Little underwent some tests and he will take part in the pregame warm-ups before a decision on his status is made.

He logged 23:04 of ice time in the 600th NHL game of his career. Little has 15 goals this season, but that was just his second power-play marker. He also earned his 22nd assist on Blake Wheeler's game winner.

The penalty shot goal was the first by a Trashers/Jets player against the Pittsburgh Penguins in their history. The penalty shot was awarded after Little was tied up by Ben Lovejoy on a breakaway. Little now has five points in his last four games and is on pace for a career high 68 points.

"It's easier said than done," said Little. "One of the problems for us this year is we have a good game, we get a win, and the next game we kind of relax again and the other team takes advantage of that." The Jets are coming off a 5-2 win over the Rangers on Friday night. They are six points behind Nashville for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The talented center now has nine goals on the season. The Jets' other goal was scored by Dustin Byfuglien, his fifth of the season. The Jets are struggling. (Now under .500 at 8-9-2, the Jets haven't won in their past six games.
