Coach Claude Noel appreciates the efforts of his top line.
Bryan Little, Andrew Ladd and Blake Wheeler have carried the majority of the offensive load for the team all season and Noel went as far to call them a legitimate No. 1 line in the NHL. "You've really got to tip your hat to them, the three of them, they've done a good job at becoming a top line in the National Hockey League," Noel said. "Whereas before, even last year, you're like, 'Are they or aren't they or what are they?' Well, it's pretty hard to argue right now. They've certainly matured there." Evander Kane is the only forward outside that trio who has produced somewhat consistently this campaign. Apr 18 - 9:26 AM

Winnipeg's top offensive line of Little, Blake Wheeler and Andrew Ladd came up big in Saturday's contest. The trio combined for a grand total of five points in the win. "It was nice to see some results, for sure," Andrew Ladd said. "We were struggling a little bit putting the puck in the net, and to finally get some offence going was definitely a great thing for us." With the two-point night, Little now has 23 points in 40 games this season.
Apr 7 - 9:48 AM

Bryan Little has done enough this season to keep his number one center job.

Little has registered five goals and 21 points in 33 games. He has outperformed free agent signing Olli Jokinen to remain on the team's top line with Blake Wheeler and Andrew Ladd. He leads the Jets with a plus-10 rating and is among the best on the club on draws with a 52.8 winning percentage a total of 545 faceoffs. He is frequently criticized for not being productive enough to be a number one pivot, but he has been a fairly well-rounded contributor.

Feb 19 - 9:53 PM

Bryan Little scored his second goal of the season to lift the Jets to a 3-2 overtime victory over Florida Tuesday night.

With five points in nine contests, Little's pace is essentially the same as it has been for the past few seasons. With his talent, it's fair to expect more from him. Blake Wheeler and Mark Stuart also found the back of the net for the Jets while Zach Redmond picked up his first two NHL points with a pair of assists in the win.
Feb 5 - 11:40 PM

Bryan Little is excited and anxious to be preparing to play hockey again.

"I've never been so anxious and nervous at the same time for the opening puck-drop," Little said. "I think everyone's in different situations. Some guys haven't played in a long time, some guys just got back from Europe. But at the end of the day, it's the first NHL game of the season for everyone." He registered 24 goals and 46 points in 74 games in a hot and cold year in 2011-12. Little could be in store for more of the same this season, while skating alongside Andrew Ladd and Blake Wheeler again.
Jan 16 - 9:47 AM

Bryan Little isn't concerned with Winnipeg's odds of winning the Stanley Cup, he just wants the team to make it into the playoffs.

"Our goal is just to make the playoffs," he said. "That was our goal last year and we had a pretty good season, other than a few weeks where we had a major let-up. Shortened season or not, we have to get in. You saw that last year in the playoffs ... if you get in, anything can happen. You never know how far you can go." The Jets are listed as a 50/1 longshot to lift the Cup this year, with only the New York Islanders (66/1) and Columbus Blue Jackets (100/1) coming in with worse odds.

The intensity level at workouts has grown as the deadline to begin the season draws closer.

There's a week left for an agreement to be made, so players' on-ice workouts have increasingly become more serious. Whether a season starts by Jan. 19 doesn't matter as many players could look to play elsewhere over the next few months, so it's a benefit to get into better shape. "I just got back today and you can just tell skating out here that the intensity's up a bit and guys are skating at the end and doing some extra stuff and we've added some more days of skating," Bryan Little said. "It seems like everyone's preparing for something."
Jan 4 - 11:51 AM

Bryan Little had a goal and an assist as AIK beat Skelleftea 4-3 on Saturday.

Little had the second-best goal output of his career last season, finding the net 24 times in 74 games. The underrated forward is in the last year of his current deal with the Winnipeg Jets, so he might need to make waves overseas to convince relatively new management to keep him around.

Bryan Little is looking at the continuation of negotiation meetings as a positive even though NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr's memo to the players indicated that there's still a wide gap between the two sides.

"I'm concerned a bit (about the gap) but at least they're talking," Little said. "They could call it quits and not talk again for a while but they're hammering it out trying to figure something out, trying to find some way to close the gap." The Winnipeg center has been keeping in shape at the MTS Iceplex and he's likely to have a reduced role on the club when the lockout is over due to the arrival of Olli Jokinen this past summer.
Mon, Nov 12, 2012 08:46:00 AM

Bryan Little already is bored by the lockout lifestyle.

"It feels like we should have been playing a long time ago. Everything is going by slow," Little said. "It's hard to believe it's the middle of October. It's strange. I've found myself watching lots of baseball, which I don't normally do. That's all there is to do right now, watch baseball playoffs. ... That's pretty upsetting when you're supposed to be playing and you're sitting at home."
