Michael Frolik had two assists, including one on the power play, in Thursday night's 4-3 shootout loss to Colorado.

No offense to Frolik, but these were two classic NHL-style assists. The chain of possession was broken at least twice on shots for Frolik's first helper on Andrew Ladd's power play goal to go up 1-0. For his second, the puck happened to deflect off his heal, while Frolik was facing his defensive zone, and popped Mathieu Perreault who gave it to Mark Scheifele for the 3-1. Take it for what you will.

Michael Frolik notched two points, including a shorthanded goal, in a 5-2 win against Dallas on Tuesday.

The two-point effort ended a long cold streak for the Winnipeg winger. Frolik had gone four straight games without a point and he had one goal in his past seven appearances. He has recorded two of his six markers on the penalty kill and he has 12 points on the year.
Dec 10 - 9:50 AM

Michael Frolik scored a goal in Winnipeg's 2-1 win over Buffalo on Wednesday.

Frolik's goal was scored shorthanded. The 26-year-old has now scored five goals and 10 points in 24 games this season. Frolik is a 40-point player and he's on pace to hit that mark again this year. Bryan Little also scored for Winnipeg. The Jets have now won two games in a row.
Nov 26 - 9:31 PM

Michael Frolik produced a goal and an assist in Winnipeg's 3-1 win over New Jersey on Tuesday.

He earned an assist on Mark Scheifele's game winner and scored in third to provide the Jets with some insurance. Frolik has registered three of his four goals this season in his past four outings. He skated alongside Scheifele and Adam Lowry on Tuesday night.
Nov 19 - 9:53 AM

Michael Frolik scored the only goal in Winnipeg’s 1-0 win over Chicago.

The goal came at the 00:20 mark of the first period. The Jets are now 4-0-1 in their last five games but they’ve only managed to score eight goals in that span. Frolik now has one goal and four points in 12 games this season. Andrew Ladd and Zach Bogosian picked up the assists on the goal.
Nov 2 - 11:40 PM

Michael Frolik will continue to play on the Jets' top line alongside Andrew Ladd and Bryan Little.

Not a bad place to be. Frolik does have two things working against him, however. One, he's offensively challenged. Two, he has been playing with a mild disclocated thumb. We would stay away notwithstanding his first-line status. By the way, the Jets are icing a second line that looks very much like a first line in Blake Wheeler, Evander Kane and Mark Scheifele. Loser in this alignment is still Dustin Byguglien, who is still stuck on the team's third unit.
Nov 1 - 2:16 PM

Michael Frolik has been playing through a dislocated thumb since Winnipeg's season opener.

"First game in Phoenix, third shift, finger popped out and back," Frolik said. "That was really sore. I had to play with a cast and some shots, too, and the pain. The first few games were not fun. I was really in pain there and didn't really battle hard." He said he's been feeling better lately, which has given coach Paul Maurince confidence to out Frolik back with Bryan Little and Andrew Ladd.
Oct 28 - 6:45 AM

Winnipeg Jets head coach Paul Maurice is mixing up his lines, trying to find goals.

The Winnipeg Jets have scored just one goal in their last three games since losing Evander Kane to injury. "Sometimes, the communication and the chemistry is better, sometimes not," said Jets forward Michael Frolik. "But we have not scored many goals so he's trying to mix it up to get something to work." Bryan Little will center the Jets' top line with Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien. Mark Scheifele will play with Blake Wheeler and Mathieu Perreault. The third line is made up of Adam Lowry, T.J. Galiardi and Frolik.
Oct 19 - 12:16 PM

Michael Frolik didn't skate Tuesday, but he's expected to be back on the ice on Wednesday.

The Jets don't play again until Friday when they host Nashville in their home opener.
Oct 15 - 9:30 AM

Michael Frolik earned his first point of the season Sunday night when he got an assist on Bryan Little's goal in a 4-1 loss to Los Angeles.

He led all skaters in the match with seven shots on goal. Frolik finished the match with 18:07 of ice time
Oct 13 - 7:15 AM

Michael Frolik, who missed practice Friday with a minor injury, will play Saturday against San Jose.

In the event you have Frolik on your fantasy squad, keep him active for Saturday's contest.
Oct 11 - 2:15 PM

Michael Frolik could open the year alongside Andrew Ladd and Bryan Little.

He played with them both during the 2013-14 campaign as well. Frolik notched 15 goals and 42 points in 81 games with the Jets last year, which will probably be around the same production fantasy owners can expect this season as well.
Oct 2 - 9:51 AM

Michael Frolik wants to work with the Jets on a long-term deal during the 2014-15 season.

"We were talking about the longer term, but a couple of numbers didn't match up," said Frolik, who received a one-year, $3.3 million contract in July "I think we can start talking again in (January). But I am happy here and if something came up longer-term, I would be happy to do it." Frolik had 15 goals and 42 points in 81 games last season.
Sep 22 - 9:48 AM

Despite lengthy negotiations between the two sides, the Winnipeg Jets and Michal Frolik have not been able to see eye-to-eye in terms of a fair contract value.

What has likely caused the rift is the fact Frolik see himself as a top-six forward, which is the role he fills on the current Jets, but the team sees him as more of a depth piece on a good team. Winnipeg GM Tim Cheveldayoff remains optimistic about the possibility of reaching a long-term pact, saying "We've had many, many discussion's with Michael's agent (Allan Walsh) about a multi-year deal. We both felt it was best to agree to a one-year deal at this time and continue conversations as we move forward." Because the two sides appear far apart, it will be interesting to see if a long-term agreement can reached before Frolik gains UFA status next summer.
