Michael Frolik had a pair of assists Sunday.
Frolik, who played in his 700th career game earlier in the week, is up to 19 points with eight goals this season after assisting on both of Matthew Tkachuk's third period goals as the Flames came back to beat the Islanders 3-2. He has little fantasy value at this time. Feb 12 - 7:00 AM

Michael Frolik will be playing in his 700th game on Thursday.

"I would never have imagined this would happen," said Frolik on being on the brink of 700 games. "Obviously, the biggest goal is 1,000 but every number is pretty cool. When I started my career (in North America) I would never thought it would happen. But it’s a nice thing to accomplish. Hopefully I have a few more seasons in me and hopefully it can be here in Calgary." Frolik is still just 29-years-old and is a solid contributor, so as long as he can stay healthy it's reasonable to believe that he will reach the 1,000-game mark. Whether or not he'll get there in Calgary is another matter entirely. He is signed for another two campaigns after this one, but in order for him to get to that milestone with the Flames, he'll need to eventually agree to an extension.

Michael Frolik will return on Tuesday night from a fractured jaw.

Frolik skated alongside Matthew Tkachuk and Mikael Backlund at Monday's practice. He hasn't played since Dec. 28. Frolik has seven goals and 15 points in 37 contests this year.

Michael Frolik (fractured jaw) wasn't wearing a no-contact jersey during Wednesday's practice.

That's another encouraging step forward for Frolik. He still probably won't be back until after the All-Star break, but it might not be long after that before he rejoins the Flames.

Michael Frolik (fracture jaw) took part in Sunday's practice.

Frolik was wearing a no-contact jersey, but this was still his first time practicing with the Flames since he was struck by a Brent Burns wristshot on Dec. 28. "It was definitely good to be back out there," Frolik said. "It’s been a few weeks already, and I’ve been skating a few times just by myself here during the break. It’s much more fun to go out there with the guys and do some drills with more people than just myself." He's not expected to return until after the All-Star break.

Michael Frolik suffered a fractured jaw when he was struck by a Brent Burns' shot on Wednesday.

Frolik also lost some teeth due to the incident. He's headed back to Calgary to see a surgeon and is considered week-to-week. He has seven goals and 15 points in 37 games this season. The Flames had been relying on him to average 17:09 minutes per contest.

Michael Frolik sustained an undisclosed injury during Thursday's game.

Frolik was hurt when he blocked Brent Burns' shot in the second period. He left the contest and didn't return for the third period. Frolik has seven goals and 15 points in 37 contests this season.

Michael Frolik opened the scoring in Wednesday's game against St. Louis

Frolik led the team with five shots on goal. He has picked up the pace lately, scoring two goals with three points over the past six outings. Frolik is on pace for just 33 points, which would be a step back after posting 17 goals and 44 points last season. He has yet to post any power-play points this season, either, making him worth a look in the deepest of fantasy pools only.

Michael Frolik netted a goal for the Flames on Thursday.

That snapped Frolik's five-game goal scoring drought. He has six goals and 13 points in 32 contests. Assuming he stays healthy, he should record 30-40 points in 2017-18.

Michael Frolik scored the overtime game winner on Saturday.

Frolik broke in on a two-on-one and took a perfect pass from Mikael Backlund, beating Brian Elliott for the 5-4 win. Frolik has four goals and nine points in 19 games. Frolik usually averages about a point every two games so his scoring this season is right on pace.

Michael Frolik posted an empty-net goal to cap off Monday's 7-4 victory against the Blues.

That's two games against the Blues this season and two points for Frolik, who apparently enjoys seeing the Blue Notes. In fact, he has at least one point in six of his past seven against St. Louis, including his most recent NHL hat trick on March 14, 2016. Remember that for DFS and fantasy purposes on Dec. 20 in the third and final regular season meeting with the Blues.

Michael Frolik registered an assist in a 5-2 loss to St. Louis on Wednesday.

Frolik had been held off the scoresheet in the Flames' previous three contests. He has a goal and five points in 10 games this season. That's on par with what we'd expect from Frolik as we're looking for him to finish the campaign with around 40 points.

Michael Frolik scored a goal and registered an assist in the Flames' 4-3 win against Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Frolik's goal at 7:47 of the first period was his first marker of the 2017-18 campaign. He now has three points in four games this season. In 2016-17 he finished with 17 goals and 44 points in 82 contests.

Michael Frolik is hoping to get off to a fast start like he did in 2016-17.

Frolik usually starts the season off quite slowly but was amazing last season after starting the season playing in the World Cup. He had nine points in his first 12 games. This season he was the Flame who was in the best shape heading into training camp and hopes it helps him once the season starts. He had 44 points last season with 58 penalty minutes and poolies will be happy with more of the same in 2017-18.
