Winnipeg Jets head coach Paul Maurice is mixing up his lines, trying to find goals.
The Winnipeg Jets have scored just one goal in their last three games since losing Evander Kane to injury. "Sometimes, the communication and the chemistry is better, sometimes not," said Jets forward Michael Frolik. "But we have not scored many goals so he's trying to mix it up to get something to work." Bryan Little will center the Jets' top line with Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien. Mark Scheifele will play with Blake Wheeler and Mathieu Perreault. The third line is made up of Adam Lowry, T.J. Galiardi and Frolik. Oct 19 - 12:16 PM

Oct 15 - 9:30 AM

Michael Frolik earned his first point of the season Sunday night when he got an assist on Bryan Little's goal in a 4-1 loss to Los Angeles.

He led all skaters in the match with seven shots on goal. Frolik finished the match with 18:07 of ice time
Oct 13 - 7:15 AM

Michael Frolik, who missed practice Friday with a minor injury, will play Saturday against San Jose.

In the event you have Frolik on your fantasy squad, keep him active for Saturday's contest.
Oct 11 - 2:15 PM

Michael Frolik could open the year alongside Andrew Ladd and Bryan Little.

He played with them both during the 2013-14 campaign as well. Frolik notched 15 goals and 42 points in 81 games with the Jets last year, which will probably be around the same production fantasy owners can expect this season as well.
Oct 2 - 9:51 AM

Michael Frolik wants to work with the Jets on a long-term deal during the 2014-15 season.

"We were talking about the longer term, but a couple of numbers didn't match up," said Frolik, who received a one-year, $3.3 million contract in July "I think we can start talking again in (January). But I am happy here and if something came up longer-term, I would be happy to do it." Frolik had 15 goals and 42 points in 81 games last season.
Sep 22 - 9:48 AM

Despite lengthy negotiations between the two sides, the Winnipeg Jets and Michal Frolik have not been able to see eye-to-eye in terms of a fair contract value.

What has likely caused the rift is the fact Frolik see himself as a top-six forward, which is the role he fills on the current Jets, but the team sees him as more of a depth piece on a good team. Winnipeg GM Tim Cheveldayoff remains optimistic about the possibility of reaching a long-term pact, saying "We've had many, many discussion's with Michael's agent (Allan Walsh) about a multi-year deal. We both felt it was best to agree to a one-year deal at this time and continue conversations as we move forward." Because the two sides appear far apart, it will be interesting to see if a long-term agreement can reached before Frolik gains UFA status next summer.
Aug 3 - 9:10 AM

Michael Frolik plans to restart contract negotiations with the Winnipeg Jets in January.

The two sides agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million contract for the 2014-15 to avoid an arbitration hearing. However, Frolik is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. Despite the assurances that the two sides will try to make something work during the season, it's not a great sign that they couldn't agree to a longer-term deal this summer.
Jul 29 - 5:10 PM

Michael Frolik has agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million contract with the Winnipeg Jets.

Frolik and the Jets have managed to avoid an arbitration hearing that was scheduled for Thursday. However, the face that the Jets weren't able to lock him up to a long-term contract is a little troubling for them as he's scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next summer. He had 15 goals and 42 points in 81 games last season.
Jul 29 - 9:14 AM

Michael Frolik's arbitration hearing has been scheduled for July 31.

Frolik and the Jets can of course still avoid the hearing by agreeing to terms before then. The Jets are the ones that filed for arbitration, but they are reportedly interested in locking him up to a long-term deal.

Jul 9 - 5:09 PM

The Winnipeg Jets decided to file for club-elected salary arbitration with winger Michael Frolik.

The Winnipeg Sun's Ken Wiebe reports that it shouldn't be a big concern, as the two sides are allegedly discussing a long-term deal. Frolik scored 15 goals and 42 points in his first season with the Jets, taking on an elevated role after being a nice depth player for Chicago.
Jun 15 - 6:52 PM

Michael Frolik had two assists in Winnipeg's 4-3 victory over San Jose on Thursday night.

He hasn't scored a goal in his last five outings, but he has contributed three helpers in his past three contests. He helped set up goals by Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien (power play) in the match to give him 38 points on the year.
Mar 28 - 7:43 AM

Michael Frolik has been productive since being reunited with Andrew Ladd and Bryan Little.

He has recorded two goals and two assists in his past five games. Frolik's four-game point streak came to an end on Monday night versus St. Louis. He is on pace to hit the 40-point mark for the third time in his career.
Mar 18 - 7:20 AM

Michael Frolik will play between Devin Setoguchi and Matt Halischuk in Thursday's meeting against Los Angeles.

Coach Paul Maurice is moving around some pieces with Mark Scheifele sidelined. "It's a little bit different, but I've played it in the past," said Frolik. "Hopefully, it's going to go quick. I know the mental preparations is going to be a bit different, but I'll just play the game, have fun, don't think too much and hopefully it's going to work out." He had been playing on the top line with Bryan Little and Andrew Ladd, but his versatility prompted the move.
Mar 6 - 2:29 PM

Michael Frolik returned to the Jets over the weekend, but he didn't want to talk about the strange soap opera situation that surrounded the Czech Republic at the Winter Olympics.

"I know a lot of things happened and have been said in the media about our team, but I don't really want to go into it," he said. "It's not up to us who is going to be coaching next. We'll see what happens. The coach was fine. It's always about the one game in the quarterfinal and we got beat out. It's always bad when you lose that game." The Czechs made some questionable calls leading into and during the tournament. Frolik didn't have a point in five games in Sochi and be averaged 10:46 of ice time per match.
