Bob Sanguinetti aggravated an upper-body injury during Thursday's game and is currently day-to-day.

Sanguinetti suffered the injury when he slid into the boards after drawing a tripping penalty midway through the third period. Although the Canes are only calling him day-to-day, Sanguinetti certainly looked to be in serious pain as he skated off the ice holding his left arm. Sanguinetti doesn't really have much fantasy value in most formats.

Bob Sanguinetti was paired with Joni Pitkanen during Tuesday's 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay.

The duo was on the ice for two goals against in the opening frame. Sanguinetti is finally getting his NHL shot, but it hasn't been a very good start for him statistically. He has no points, no shots and a minus-3 rating after two games, in addition to one hit and one blocked shot. The good news is that he understands what he has to work on and where he came up short versus the Lightning. "I've got to be stronger in front of the net," said Sanguinetti. "There's no excuse now. The season's started and it's time for me to wake up. It was a tough one for myself, personally."
