The New York Rangers re-signed Chris Summers to a one-year, two-way contract.

Summers will make $600,000 if he plays in the NHL and $350,000 if he suits up in the AHL. The 28-year-old had no points, four penalty minutes and a minus-2 rating in three games with the Rangers in 2015-16. He added three goals and 11 points in 74 games in Hartford (AHL). Summers was acquired from Arizona on March 1st, 2015 as part of the trade that saw Keith Yandle join the Rangers. Summers will likely serve as organizational depth in the minors next season.

Nothing will change for the Coyotes Monday night as Summers and Crombeen will be sidelined as healthy scratches for a second consecutive game. Summers hasn't skated with 'Yotes since January 18th and has three assists and a minus 12 rating in just 16 games this year.
