Michael Grabner scored a goal in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings.
Grabner was hauled down while on a breakaway. The puck bounced into Wings goalie Petr Mrazek, off Grabner's backside and in the net. The on-ice official originally gave Grabner a penalty shot, but after review the referee decided to overturn the call. P.A. Parenteau picked up the only assist on the goal. Grabner finally put an end to his 30-game goalless drought. He has seven goals in 66 games in 2015-16. Mar 13 - 10:27 PM

Michael Grabner scored the game-winning goal Sunday against the New York Islanders.

He has generated four goals in his last five games and was pleased to score against his former team. Grabner has only nine points in 32 games this season, but he has been skating on the top line recently and his production has increased significantly thanks to a four-point outing against Los Angeles on Dec. 19.

Michael Grabner picked up four points in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Kings.

Two goals and two assists in just 13:52 of work, now that's efficient. However he now has four goals and eight points in 29 games this season, so we wouldn't jump to pick him up.

Forward Michael Grabner finally scored his first goal for the Toronto Maple Leafs Wednesday night.

It was the lone goal for the Leafs in a 6-1 laugher for the Jets in Winnipeg. Grabner had scored 34 goals for the New York Islanders in 2010-11 and 20 goals for the same team the year after that.

Michael Grabner has no goals in 20 games this season.

"You have to stick with it and hope it goes in soon," he said. "It's frustrating, but lately it has been a little easier, playing some solid hockey and winning some games." Grabner scored 34 goals back in 2010-11 with the Islanders and he netted 20 goals the year after that, but his touch around the net has diminished since that time. He has two assists and 22 shots this campaign.

Grabner was awarded a penalty shot at the 14:50 mark of the second period with his team up 2-0. The Canucks were able to score less than two minutes after Grabner missed on his attempt, but they were able to hold on for the win. Grabner is now one-for-seven on penalty shots in his career. It looks like Michael Grabner will make his Toronto Maple Leafs debut as they face the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.

Despite the obviously less-than-ideal start, Grabner has enough speed to possibly make an impact today. The Leafs need some kind of shot in the arm, especially on offense. Roman Polak is also expected to be in Toronto's lineup.

For the second game in a row, Michael Grabner will be a healthy scratch for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Grabner was acquired by the Leafs from the Islanders in mid-September but he still hasn't played a meaningful game for his new team. Joining him in the press box are Roman Polak and Frank Corrado.

Michael Grabner will be a healthy scratch Wednesday night.

He was the odd man out during the morning skate and won't make his Toronto debut aganist Montreal. Grabner had just eight goals and 13 points in 34 games with the Islanders last season.

Don't be surprised if newly-acquired Michael Grabner earns a job on one of the Maple Leafs' top two lines.

Garbner can fly and he has a scorer's touch as evidenced by his 34-goal campaign a few seasons ago. He fell out of favour in Long Island and was relegated to primarily penalty-killing duty last season but with Toronto he could play a much bigger role. Watch him this training camp.
