Michael Grabner found the back of the net in the Rangers' 5-4 overtime loss to Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

It was Grabner's first goal and second point in seven contests this season. He managed to score 27 goals last season, but he's not a safe bet to finish close to that mark again in 2017-18.

Michael Grabner could be an attractive option for the Vegas Golden Knights in the expansion draft.

Jesper Fast had hip surgery on Monday, so that will probably take him out of the equation for the NHL's newest franchise. The Rangers could expose Oscar Lindberg and Antti Raanta as well, which would give Vegas some solid players to choose from later this month.

Michael Grabner scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday's 4-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators.

Grabner recovered a puck behind the Senators net, and he was able to slide it into the goal because Craig Anderson was caught out of position. The goal gave the Rangers a 2-0 lead at the time and they never looked back. Grabner now has four goals and a plus-1 rating in nine games during the postseason. The Rangers trail 2-1 in the best-of-seven series with Game 4 going Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.

Grabner pounced on a Canadiens turnover at his team's blue line before beating Carey Price with a fantastic breakaway move. The Rangers had a 3-2 lead in the final minute of regulation, but they gave up a goal to Tomas Plekanec with just 17 seconds remaining. The Rangers were badly outplayed for most of the overtime period and they eventually gave up the winning goal to Alex Radulov. Rick Nash and Mats Zuccarello scored New York's other two goals in the loss. Grabner has two goals in two games this postseason. The series will now shift back to New York tied 1-1.

Michael Grabner has only one goal in his last 16 games.

The veteran was put back on a line with J.T. Miller and Kevin Hayes but that did not break the streak. Amazingly enough, Grabner continues to lead the Rangers with 27 goals but they sure would like him to start scoring again. He did have two breakaways in the game but the speedy winger failed to convert.

Michael Grabner is expected to be back in the lineup Sunday after missing five games with a hip injury.

Grabner practiced on Saturday and looks to be ready to go. He has been one of the big surprises in the NHL this season with 26 goals, 25 coming at even strength. His speed will definitely help the Rangers as it keeps opposing defensemen on their heels. He practiced with Kevin Hayes and J.T. Miller. Put him back in your lineup if you normally would.
