Forward Michael Grabner will be joined by forwards Colin McDonald, Eric Boulton, along with defenders Matt Donovan, Ryan Pulock in the press box for Game Five versus Washington.
With Tyler Kennedy remaining in the lineup and Mikhail Grabovski returning and centering the third line, Grabner finds himself without a line to play on. But even if he did play, the speedy defensive winger doesn't offer much fantasy value. And neither do the rest of his benched mates. Apr 23 - 6:10 PM

Apr 19 - 12:23 PM

Michael Grabner scored his eighth goal of the season on Friday.

It has not been a good season for Grabner who has only 13 points in 33 games this season. He was injured early on and then had been a healthy scratch on numerous occasions in March. Do not expect a lot of production from him in the playoffs although he certainly is capable.
Apr 11 - 7:48 AM

Michael Grabner and Colin McDonald will fill in for the injured Matt Martin and Frans Nielsen in Tuesday night's tilt with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Unfortunately, there simply isn't much fantasy value between either forward. Grabner has posted just seven goals and 12 points over 31 games this season, and hadn't played in nine games. McDonald meanwhile has seen just 17 games this season, collecting eight points and 71 hits over that span.
Apr 7 - 6:40 PM

Michael Grabner, Tyler Kennedy, Colin McDonald, Matt Donovan and Calvin de Haan will be healthy scratches in Thursday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Grabner scored 34 goals for the Islanders in 2010-11 but he has just 55 goals since then. His fantasy upside is almost non-existent and the fact that he has been scratched seven straight games won't help.
Apr 2 - 6:51 PM

Michael Grabner is no longer dealing with an illness.

Grabner might be a healthy scratch now that he's available though. He has seven goals and 12 points in 31 contests this season.
Apr 2 - 12:02 PM

Michael Grabner has been a healthy scratch for the last five games but he may be ill.

Grabner was a healthy scratch for four games but may have been in the lineup Saturday if not for the illness. He has seven goals and 12 points in 31 games this season.
Mar 29 - 10:03 AM

Michael Grabner, Eric Boulton, Matt Donovan and Colin McDonald will all watch Thursday's game against the Kings from the press box.

Grabner used to be a good source of goals but his play has really fallen off of late. He has just seven goals and 12 points in 31 games this season. None of these players have any fantasy value going forward. Lubomir Visnovsky will miss the game due to injury.

Mar 26 - 7:19 PM

It looks like Michael Grabner will spend his fourth straight game in the press box on Thursday.

Grabner stayed on after Wednesday's practice to get extra work in, which is usually a good indicator of his status for the upcoming contest. He has seven goals and 12 points in 31 contests in 2014-15.
Mar 26 - 9:57 AM

Michael Grabner, Colin McDonald, and Eric Boulton will each be scratched against the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night.

Unfortunately, none of these three forwards offer much fantasy value. Though Grabner clearly is the most talented, at least in terms of real-life skill. This will be his third straight game in the stands, and has only produced a dozen points and 59 hits in 31 games this season.
Mar 24 - 6:30 PM

Michael Grabner, Colin McDonald, and Eric Boulton will each be scratched against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night.

While McDonald and Boulton lack for much fantasy value, Grabner at least entices with his ability to create quality offensive chances for himself. But that translates better to real life, and in fantasy, a forward who has 12 points and 59 hits through 35 games just isn't all that valuable.
Mar 17 - 7:52 PM

Michael Grabner, Eric Boulton, Matt Donovan, Colin McDonald and Nick Leddy are all scratched on Tuesday.

Leddy was a game-time decision but he won't play against the Rangers. Grabner is the biggest name of the group. He has seven goals and 12 points in 29 games this season.

Mar 10 - 7:15 PM

Michael Grabner is projected to be a healthy scratch on Tuesday.

Someone had to come out of the lineup to make room for Kyle Okposo's (eye) return and it looks like Grabner drew the short straw. He has seven goals and 12 points in 29 contests in 2014-15.
Mar 10 - 2:29 PM

Michael Grabner broke a four game pointless drought with his seventh goal of the season.

Grabner now has 11 points in an injury-riddled 25 games this season. He is worth a shot in deep pools as he has hit the 30 goal mark once in his career.
