Trevor Lewis said 'something happened' when he was called for goaltender interference with five seconds remaining in regulation time.
The penalty put the Kings down two men heading into the overtime as the Sharks Patrick Marleau pushed him into Antti Niemi in the Sharks net. While the Kings killed off the first penalty, they were unable to handle the onslaught of the Sharks as Logan Couture scored at the 1:29 mark of overtime. May 19 - 8:05 AM

Trevor Lewis scored the winner with 1:21 left in the third period to give the Los Angeles Kings a 4-3 win in Game 2 of the Western Conference semi-finals.

The goal capped a furious comeback by the Kings who were down 3-2 with less than two minutes to go but a couple of San Jose penalties gave the Kings a two-man advantage and Dustin Brown scored at the 18:17 mark of the third to tie it up. The Kings were still on the power play when Lewis scored the winner 22 seconds later. The Kings got off to a 2-0 lead on goals by Jeff Carter and Drew Doughty. Los Angeles was great on the power play, scoring three times on six opportunities. It was Lewis's first goal of the playoffs.

Trevor Lewis registered an assist on Saturday.

"He just goes about his business and you know what, good on him, he’s a good player," Kings Coach Darryl Sutter said. "He’s a guy who came here and nobody was too sure on him and I said, ‘Woah, this kid’s a good player.’ It’s just a confidence thing and it shows every night." He has five goals and 13 points in 42 games this season. He's an asset for the Kings, but he's not worth owning in standard leagues.

Trevor Lewis has agreed to play for his hometown Utah Grizzlies.

Lewis has not been playing since the start of the lockout. He will try and stay in playing shape in anticipation of the lockout ending and NHL action beginning shortly.

Trevor Lewis collected two goals in the Kings' Game 6 win of the Stanley Cup Final over the Devils.

In the series-winning game, Lewis scored at 15:01 of the first, the last of the three goals in a five-minute power play, and he potted one with the net empty with less than four minutes remaining. In 20 games of the postseason, Lewis exceeded his regular season production, scoring three times and recording nine points.

Trevor Lewis has been a valuable member of the Los Angeles Kings third line, alongside Jarret Stoll and Dwight King.

Lewis got a huge boost when Darryl Sutter took over in December from Terry Murray and has not looked back since. "He was always a terribly fast, hard-working guy and he's invaluable at this level," Kevin Westgarth said. "You can see he works the hardest out there, and he's got a lot of confidence going now. That's huge. He's willing to carry the puck through the neutral zone and do a lot of stop-up plays. But his work ethic and his speed is what obviously has really gotten him to this level and made him flourish." While Lewis does not have a lot of fantasy value, his value to the Kings is immense.

Trevor Lewis has been thriving under the tutelage of coach Darryl Sutter.

Lewis was a healthy scratch for eight of the last nine games under the regime of Terry Murray but his value to the Kings have soared under Sutter as he is now a valuable member of the third line. "It's hard to explain, but players like that, with the way, the style I like to play, have a huge value in it," Sutter said of Lewis. "I think that was important for him to know that right away. He can give you serious 5-on-5 minutes and he can give you serious penalty-killing minutes and he's got an identity. I think that is really important. You've got to really be able to skate and you've got to be able to compete and you've got to be able to think the game." Lewis has a goal and two points in the playoffs thus far but his value to the Kings is not measured in points.

Trevor Lewis has been getting plenty of playing time under new head coach Darryl Sutter.

Lewis was a healthy scratch in eight of the last nine games under the regime of Terry Murray but all that changed with the coaching change. Lewis has been averaging between 13 and 16 minutes of ice time of late (although only 12:17 last night) and Sutter has been impressed with the third liner's play. He scored the winner on Tuesday and it was his first point in 15 games. He has only three goals and five points this season in 57 games so his fantasy value is next to nothing.

New Kings coach Darryl Sutter has been impressed with the play of Trevor Lewis.

Sutter obviously does not play fantasy hockey as Lewis has only one assist in 29 games this season. "Quite honestly, the player I really didn’t know much about was Trevor Lewis." Sutter said. "I’m trying to show lots of confidence in him, and obviously he’s kind of struggled with that goose egg (in goals). He’s got a good enough skill set, and I’m impressed with his attitude, quite honestly. How come he hasn’t scored? I don’t know. You [media] know better than I do. But I think he gives us a speed dimension. I see guys on Vancouver’s team, players like (Jannik) Hansen and kids like that, and there are similarities. We need him to do all those things and then chip in for us.’’ Lewis turns 25 in a week and fantasy-wise it appears that he will never have much, if any, value.

Trevor Lewis returned to action on Thursday after missing the last seven games as a healthy scratch.

Lewis played 6:58 minutes on the fourth line, alongside Kyle Clifford and Colin Fraser. "He’s been out of the lineup for (seven) games now, and he brings that element of speed," coach Terry Murray said. "I want him to be on the puck. I want him to be on their defensemen and I want to see him do some good things on the attack side of the game, and just be a little more grittier, be a little more confrontational in some of those situations, when the opportunity is there." He has only one assist in 20 games with seven penalty minutes so he has no fantasy value.

Trevor Lewis is projected to play alongside Ryan Smyth and Justin Williams on Saturday.

The Kings have to shake of their lines because Jarret Stoll has received a one-game suspension. Lewis had two hits, two blocked shots, and two shots on goal in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to San Jose.

Trevor Lewis served as the Kings second line center on Tuesday.

Lewis is one of the players the Kings want to see step up with Anze Kopitar (broken ankle) sidelined. Lewis certainly got off to a good start, registering two assists in the Kings' 2-0 victory over Edmonton. He hasn't done much offensively in his first full NHL season, but he might have some fantasy value in what's left of the season.
