Semyon Varlamov will face Anaheim on Saturday night.

Varlamov, who has lost four of his last five with 16 goals against in that span, will look to finish the season on a high note. He blanked the Ducks on 37 shots earlier in the season, and they'll have a roster full of call-ups tonight so it wouldn't be surprising if Varlamov had a repeat performance.

Although it is a meaningless game for the Avalanche we expect starter Semyon Varlamov to return to the goal against the Ducks Saturday afternoon.

Varlamov took Thursday night off as Calvin Pickard started against Dallas. The Avs will not make the playoffs for a second conseuctive season and have lost five games in a row. Varlamov is probably not a good choice if you need a win on the last day of the campaign.
