Nick Foligno predicted his overtime winner on Wednesday.

"Nick's exact words were: 'I'm going to go out and score the OT goal. I haven't done a whole lot until now. But I'm going to find a way to score. I hope you don’t mind,'" teammate Brandon Dubinsky said. Foligno lived up to that pledge, scoring just 2:49 minutes into overtime. It was his first playoff point in two games.

The Columbus Blue Jackets will be missing forward Nick Foligno (lower body) for the rest of their regular season.

Foligno finished his shift and immediately headed down the tunnel behind the Jackets’ bench. He might not emerge until the postseason, coach Todd Richards said. "He saw the doctor (yesterday) and I haven’t gotten the full results yet, but more than likely it’s going to be an injury that will keep him out through the regular season," Richards said. "He could return (for the playoffs)." Foligno, a puck hound who plays both wings, has a career-high 18 goals in 70 games and had a shot at scoring 20 goals for the first time in his seven-year NHL career. He leads the Jackets with 96 penalty minutes.
