Nick Foligno picked up a helper in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Flyers.

That gives Foligno 25 assists and 51 points in 78 games. Though not quite the 31-goal and 73-point campaign from two seasons ago, it's quite the turnaround from the 12-goal and 37-point showing he had in 2015-16.
Apr 8 - 4:49 PM

Nick Foligno reached the 50-point milestone on Thursday.

Foligno is still a far cry from his 73-point campaign in 2014-15, but this is at least a bounce back from his 37-point showing last season. Ultimately what he's done this season is fairly consistent with what we've seen from Foligno throughout his career and it's likely that 73-point campaign will prove to be an anomaly.
Apr 7 - 10:19 AM

The Columbus Blue Jackets are struggling as the playoffs approach.

Columbus has dipped to 2-4-2 over its last eight games after suffering a 4-1 loss to Pittsburgh on Tuesday. "I don’t know if we’re overthinking every play," Nick Foligno said. "I had one (moment). I had to feed (the puck) to Seth (Jones) from literally five feet from me and I threw it in front of him. It was in the offensive zone. We had a glorious chance. It’s frustrating in that sense, but that’s not going to help us find answers. We all have to get urgent and work our way out of this." Unfortunately for the Blue Jackets they don't have much time left to work through this before they have to shift to playoff contests. The first round will be tough for them too given that they're projected to play against the Penguins.
Apr 5 - 9:56 AM

Nick Foligno scored a goal in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.

The goal puts an end to his eight-game goalless drought. The Blue Jackets captain tied the game at one at the 17:15 mark of the first period, but Chicago responded just 22 seconds later to jump back ahead 2-1. Foligno finished the game with two penalty minutes, four shots on goal and two hits in 20:55 of ice time. He's up to 25 goals and 24 assists in 75 games.
Mar 31 - 11:24 PM

Nick Foligno picked up his third point over his last four games during Saturday's 3-2 overtime win.

The Captain picked up his 24th helper of the season, giving him 48 points in 67 games this season.
Mar 18 - 5:32 PM

Columbus will get Nick Foligno back from an illness on Thursday against Florida.

He has posted 24 goals and 47 points along with 42 blocks, 47 PIMs and 104 hits this season over 67 games, which ought to get him back into all lineups in all formats. He'll skate to the left of Brandon Saad and Alexander Wennberg on the team's second line.
Mar 16 - 6:09 PM

Nick Foligno (illness) is probable for Thursday's game.

Foligno was too sick to play on Monday. He has 24 goals and 47 points in 65 contests this season.
Mar 16 - 5:04 PM

Nick Foligno (illness) will likely miss Monday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Foligno is on the ice for the pre-game warmup, but he isn't skating on a line. Expect Oliver Bjorkstrand to take his spot in the lineup. Foligno is day-to-day for now.
Mar 13 - 6:42 PM

Nick Foligno is battling an illness.

Foligno is regarded as a game-time decision for Monday's contest as a result. He has 24 goals and 47 points in 65 contests this season.
Mar 13 - 11:56 AM

Nick Foligno scored twice in a 7-0 victory by the Blue Jackets over the Islanders Saturday night.

It may be too soon to form a bandwagon for Foligno, however. Despite earning 20 goals in 2016/2017 prior to this contest, he found the back of the net only twice in his last nine games. One of those came in a loss to the Rangers February 13. Foligno’s two goals Saturday allowed him to maintain a one-point advantage over Brandon Saad on the team leaderboard. Saad had two assists in the win over the Isles.
Feb 25 - 8:11 PM

Nick Foligno scored his 20th goal of the season in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Foligno's power play marker at the 9:56 mark of the second period extended Columbus' lead to 4-0. He's now hit the 20-goal mark for the second time in his NHL career. The Jackets captain has 42 points in 54 games in 2016-17. Josh Anderson, Boone Jenner, Oliver Bjorkstrand and Matt Calvert also scored for Columbus.
Feb 15 - 10:13 PM

Nick Foligno scored his 19th goal of the season Monday in a 3-2 loss to the Rangers.

The forward had a horrible season in 2015-16 when he had only 12 goals and 37 points but this is a bounce back year for the winger who has 41 points in 53 games. He has chipped in with 41 penalty minutes and has been a stud on the power play with nine goals and 18 points. He should be in someone's lineup in most pools.
Feb 13 - 11:03 PM

Nick Foligno extended his point streak to four games on Tuesday.

Foligno found the back of the net in Columbus' 6-4 win over the New York Rangers. That gives him 18 goals and 40 points in 47 contests this season. In all likelihood he'll finish below his career-high of 73 points set in 2014-15, but he might not finish far off from that and given how much of a deviation the 73-point campaign was from his career norms, close is very good.
Feb 1 - 4:27 AM

Nick Foligno is on a three-game point streak.

Foligno picked up an assist in a 4-3 loss to the Predators on Thursday. He has 17 goals and 39 points in 46 contests in 2016-17.
