Mikhail Grabovski has gone six games without recording a point.

Grabovski has two goals and five points in 15 games this season. He's also averaging a modest 14:13 minutes per contest. The Islanders haven't been a great fit for him from a fantasy perspective and we consequently can't recommend owning him in standard leagues at this time.
Nov 10 - 9:14 AM

Mikhail Grabovski had two assists in a 4-3 victory over the Nashville Predators.

Grabovski had been held off the scoresheet in his first three games of 2015-16. He's coming off of a rough season where he recorded just 19 points. In a good season, he'll do enough offensively to make him worth owning in a standard league, but he's too much of a gamble for us to recommend grabbing at this time.
Oct 16 - 9:26 AM

After spending most of the 2014-15 campaign as a winger, Mikhail Grabovski has been used as a center in the initial stages of training camp.

Grabovski is more comfortable as a center, but it's too early to say if this change will last. His wingers were Kirill Petrov and Nikolay Kulemin.
Sep 21 - 5:44 AM

Mikhail Grabovski intends to alter his game after suffering two concussions last season.

"Maybe I have to be more aware on the ice," he said. "It's not a lot of space out there anymore, so I need to change my game a little. You get older, you get smarter, right?" Grabovski appeared in 51 games during his first season with the Islanders and he contributed 19 points.
Sep 9 - 4:45 PM

Mikhail Grabovski will join Team Belarus for the 2015 World Championships.

It's an opportunity for Grabovski to get in a bit more ice time after missing more than two months due to a concussion. He returned from the injury on April 23 and ended up playing in three games before the Islanders were eliminated. This was a rough season for him beyond the concussion as he was limited to just nine goals and 19 points in 51 contests.
Apr 30 - 10:05 AM

Mikhail Grabovski will be back in the lineup from a concussion on Thursday in Game 5.

He was taken off injured reserve in the morning and will play in his first game since Feb. 19. Grabovski is slated to play between Anders Lee and Tyler Kennedy on the third line.

Mikhail Grabovski (concussion) feels good to play on Thursday.

That meshes with Islanders coach Jack Capuano's earlier assertion that there is a "real good chance" that Grabovski will play in the upcoming contest. It would be his first game since Feb. 19. "I feel good right now," Grabovski said. "I've had a good three months of skating. I don't know exactly what the decision is. Personally, I'm ready to go, but they need to talk to doctors and the coach, all together about me."
Apr 22 - 4:47 PM

Mikhail Grabovski (concussion) has a "real good chance" of returning for Game 5, per Islanders coach Jack Capuano.

Grabovski hasn't played since Feb. 19. At this point his conditioning is the main issue as he recently said that he's not 100% yet from that perspective. With that in mind, it wouldn't be shocking to see him used somewhat sparingly in Game 5 if he plays at all.
Apr 22 - 2:35 PM

Mikhail Grabovski (concussion) is still trying to get into playing shape.

Grabovski has been out of action for two months as he last played on February 19 and while he is skating, he is having some difficulty getting into playing shape. "I still feel not great," Grabovski said Friday. "My conditioning is better. But I don't play for two months and I'm still not 100 percent. It's very hard to just jump in for the playoffs."
Apr 19 - 8:22 AM

Mikhail Grabovski is close to returning to the New York Islanders' lineup, according to a report.

The Isles play their third game of their opening-round playoff series against Washington Sunday. The teams are tied 1-1 in the best-of-seven series.

Mikhail Grabovski (concussion) is expected to be on the ice for practice Monday.

Grabovski has been out of action since February 19 and while it is unknown if and when he will return, it is good news that he is practicing once again. He had nine goals and 19 points in 51 games before hitting the sidelines.
Apr 13 - 8:34 AM

Mikhail Grabovski (concussion) took part in Monday's practice.

Grabovski was wearing a no-contact jersey though and still isn't close to being ready to rejoin the Islanders' lineup. All the same he is traveling with the Islanders on their upcoming two-game road trip, which probably means he will continue to skate with the club.
Apr 7 - 9:53 AM

Coach Jack Capuano said that Mikhail Grabovski is not close to returning from a concussion.

While it appears that the remainder of the regular season is gone, it may be the playoffs as well for the center. He has been out since February 19 and has not started skating as of yet.
Mar 28 - 10:03 AM

Mikhail Grabovski (concussion) isn't skating yet, according to Islanders coach Jack Capuano.

That contradicts a previous report that Grabovski has been skating on his own. If he's not skating yet, then we wouldn't be surprised if he misses the remainder of the regular season.
