Apr 1 - 3:25 PM

The Washington Capitals get Mikhail Grabovski back in action against the Nashville Predators on Sunday.

Grabovski hasn't played since Feb. 27 because of a left ankle injury, so it's not shocking to hear that the team plans on bringing him along slowly. Even so, the 30-year-old's a worthy spot starter with 33 points in 50 games played this season, although he isn't great for peripheral stats (just 68 SOG in those 60 contests this season).
Mar 30 - 6:44 PM

Mikhail Grabovski (ankle) was back on the ice with his teammates for the first time in nearly a month on Monday.

He hasn't played since Feb. 27 and he's missed 20 of the last 21 games because of a sprained left ankle. "He's got to go through a few practices before we consider games," coach Adam Oates said. "Possible, see how he responds tomorrow." There's a chance that he could be ready to return this weekend.

Mikhail Grabovski (lower body) has been placed on injured reserve.

He's retroactive to Feb. 27 when he re-injured his ankle. It's unclear when he'll be able to return.

Mikhail Grabovski (ankle) skated on his own Saturday.

Feb 2 - 9:58 AM

Mikhail Grabovski won't travel with the team to Buffalo for Tuesday night's game.

He hasn't skated with his teammates since hurting his ankle on Jan. 24. "It's one of those injuries that can change fast. It's tough to put a timetable on it because you don't put your foot in the boot [of the skate]," coach Adam Oates said. "I think once it changes it will be fine. He was just working out with weights, he looked pretty good in there. I don't know how long it will be."
Jan 27 - 1:52 PM

Mikhail Grabovski did not play on Saturday due to a leg injury.

Grabovski suffered the injury in Friday's game. His spot on the second line was taken over by Brooks Laich who centered Martin Erat and Troy Brouwer. Consider Grabovski day-to-day for now.
Jan 26 - 10:51 AM

Mikhail Grabovski (leg) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's contest against Montreal.

However, he didn't skate in the morning so it's unlikely that he'll be able to play after injuring his leg on Friday. "He was hurting pretty good after the [Devils] game, so we'll see," coach Adam Oates said. Grabovski has 12 goals and 33 points in 49 games this season.
