Blair Jones could find himself back in the Flyers lineup on Saturday.

Jones has not played since October 25 and was placed on and passed through waivers over a week ago, but the very uneven performance by Jason Akeson, especially on Friday, could get Jones back on the fourth unit. Jones is a minus-four in four games this season so we certainly will not recommend him at this time.
Nov 15 - 8:23 AM

Blair Jones went unclaimed on waivers.

Jones wasn't sent to the minors though, perhaps because the Flyers have lost Michael Raffl (lower body). Jones has no points in four games in 2014-15.
Nov 5 - 1:50 PM

Blair Jones has been waived by the Philadelphia Flyers.

Jones has no points in four games this season. The 28-year-old is an offensive force at the AHL level, but he's not likely to ever put up a lot of points in the NHL.
Nov 4 - 12:11 PM

Blair Jones will likely draw back into the Flyers lineup on Saturday.

Jones was a healthy scratch on Wednesday and has played only three games thus far. He replaced the injured Zac Rinaldo in practice on Friday and with Rinaldo out of action for Saturday's tilt, look for Jones to see bottom six action. He has no fantasy value.
Oct 25 - 9:22 AM

Blair Jones is penciled in to play on the Flyers' fourth line on Tuesday.

Jones will be making his Flyers debut after Vincent Lecavalier sustained a lower-body injury. "I'm excited to get in and help the team any way I can," Jones said. "Bring some energy and hopefully we can get two points." The 28-year-old doesn't contribute much offensively at the NHL level and he's not a great source of penalty minutes either.
Oct 14 - 10:35 AM

Look for Blair Jones to make his Flyers debut on Tuesday.

Jones might get into a string of games given that Vincent Lecavalier is out for two weeks with a lower-body injury. Jones had two goals in 14 games with Calgary last season.
Oct 13 - 10:45 AM

Blair Jones was a healthy scratch on Saturday.

Jones is a depth player and could get into a few games but he could also just as easily be sent to the minors. He has no fantasy value.
Oct 12 - 9:14 AM

Blair Jones could make the Flyers out of training camp.

The Flyers were set to use Pierre-Edouard Bellemare as the fourth line center when training camp began but injuries to Bellemare have given players like Blair Jones a shot to make the team and Jones is taking full advantage. "He's been competitive. That's what really stands out to me," coach Craig Berube said. "And he's smart. He's kind of an all-situational player. He's a pretty versatile guy. He's played well so far." While he is not a draftable fantasy player, he could be useful to the Flyers.
Sep 27 - 10:26 AM

Blair Jones is on waivers.

Jones has two goals and 21 penalty minutes in 14 contests with Calgary this season. He's on a one-way deal, so he'll make $650,000 even if he gets sent to the minors.
Jan 29 - 1:01 PM

Blair Jones (knee) will be back in Calgary's lineup on Saturday.

Jones was sidelined for 11 consecutive contests. He's projected to play alongside Paul Byron and Matt Stajan.
Jan 17 - 5:45 PM

Blair Jones is out indefinitely with a meniscal tear.

Jones has two goals in 10 games this season. He also has eight goals and 21 points in 16 AHL contests.

The 2012-13 season had been unpleasant and disheartening for center Blair Jones.

A dozen games in, Calgary coach Bob Hartley soured on Jones — chucking him on waivers and banishing him to the farm — and that was basically it. But he was recalled on Friday and Hartley said he expects production from Blair now that he has improved his conditioning and attitude." He improved his play in the AHL, too. In 21 games last season with the Abbotsford Heat last season, Blair had seven points. In 16 games this season, 20 points. "The message I (gave) myself was, ‘Don’t go and sulk. It’s not going to do you any good. Just go and work hard,’ " said Jones. "I feel confident and comfortable. I want the puck, just hanging onto it and making plays. It’s fun to have your confidence build and to get some of the swagger back. It’s a good feeling."
