David Moss scored twice in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over Red Wings.

Both goals came off of deflections giving the Coyotes a brief one-goal lead, and his second was on the power play for his first extra man tally of the season. Moss now has three goals and nine points this season.
Mar 25 - 2:30 AM

David Moss had an assist in a 3-1 loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Moss has a goal and seven points in 50 games in 2014-15. You would need to be in a very deep league for him to be on your radar.
Mar 22 - 8:51 AM

David Moss realizes he might be traded before the March 2 deadline.

"I think anybody would be lying if they told you it wasn't in the back of their mind," said Moss. "It's something that's part of the game, and I think as a player you try to focus on the games that we have to play. You're not worried about what might be happening towards the trade deadline, but I think for sure you try to prepare like a professional and play the games and whatever happens, happens. But it's going to be sad if guys are gone." Moss is playing out a one-year, $800,000 contract. He doesn't contribute much offensively, but a team might be interested in him for his services as a bottom-six forward.
Feb 23 - 10:29 AM

David Moss scored his first goal in 10 months to tie Thursday's match with Carolina at one during the first period.

It was a nifty goal too as he raced up the left slot to take Keith Yandle's feed and beat goalie Cam Ward with help of a Jeff Skinner deflection. The goal was Moss's 75th and 125th point in his 471-game career. On the season, the goal was just his third point. However the Coyotes would go on to fall in the shootout, 2-1.
Feb 6 - 12:57 AM

David Moss said that he won't change the way he plays his game as he returned from a hand injury.

Moss missed seven weeks of action after blocking a shot with his hand as he missed 22 contests, 22 but he said that he will continue to try to block shots. "Whenever you're on the penalty kill, it's your job to block shots," Moss said. "It was just unfortunate I got hit in a bad spot. Aside from having more padding in my glove, I think everything will be the same."

David Moss (hand) has been activated from the injured reserve list.

Moss hasn't played since Oct. 23, but he should make his return on Thursday. That might push Jordan Martinook, who made his NHL debut on Saturday, out of the lineup.

David Moss (hand) participated in Tuesday's practice.

Moss is a good bet to return on Thursday. In fact, Coyotes coach Dave Tippett said he would be surprised if Moss ended up missing that contest. Moss has averaged 11:51 minutes per contest in 2014-15, so his return would have minimal impact on fantasy teams.

David Moss (hand) is very close to returning, but he probably won't play Thursday.

Coyotes coach Dave Tippett would like to see Moss get in two or three more practices before he rejoins the Coyotes' lineup. Based on that, there's a fair chance that Moss will make his return on Saturday.

David Moss (hand) made the trip to Edmonton with the rest of the Coyotes.

Moss is still unlikely to play on Monday though. He's been on the sidelines since Oct. 23.

David Moss (hand) practiced a bit on Friday and could return to action as early as next week.

Moss has been out since October 23 after he blocked a shot with his hand, but is expected to join the team on a mini road trip Monday and Tuesday as the Coyotes head to the province of Alberta for a pair of games. "There's a chance he'll be on the road trip next week but questionable if he'll play," coach Dave Tippett said. "That'll come down to pain tolerance." Moss had only one assist in the six games he did play this season.

David Moss (upper body) participated in part of the Coyotes' Tuesday morning skate.

Moss isn't ready to take part in contact drills though and he didn't engage in any activity that involved puck handling. It will be weeks before he's ready to play.

The Arizona Coyotes have placed winger David Moss (upper body) on the injured reserve list.

The 32-year-old Michigan native was hurt blocking a shot nine days ago. He has one assist in six games and is likely out for a while although he has been skating of late to keep in shape.

David Moss (upper body) is expected to have skated three times by the end of this week.

Moss sustained the injury while blocking a shot. He's regarded as week-to-week rather than day-to-day.

Tough news for Arizona Coyotes forward David Moss: the early word is that his upper-body injury could sideline him long-term.

While Moss isn't a big difference-maker offensively, he's a decent source of "hustle" stats. He has one assist, four PIM, five hits and six blocked shots in six games so far in 2014-15.
