Matt Moulson has probably played in his last game with the Minnesota Wild.

Moulson is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. The Wild acquired him from the Buffalo Sabres to give them a boost going into the playoffs, but Moulson ended up with just three points in 10 postseason games while averaging 14:59 minutes. Not exactly the type of numbers you want out of a player that will be presumably looking for a big payday.
Jun 15 - 10:14 AM

Matt Moulson had an oblique injury and a groin issue in the postseason.

"He was having a hard time moving," GM Chuck Fletcher said. Moulson tried to play through the ailments. He posted a goal and two assists in 10 games before sitting out the last three contests of Round 2. Moulson can become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
May 17 - 6:54 PM

Matt Moulson (lower body) skated on Tuesday morning, but he won't return in Game 6.

He also skated on Monday. Coach Mike Yeo said, "hopefully we take care of business," so a decision can come for Moulson's availability for Game 7 on Thursday. He hasn't played since the third game of the series.
May 13 - 1:10 PM

Matt Moulson (lower body) didn't travel with his teammates to Chicago for Game 5.

He's unlikely to play Sunday night as a result. Moulson missed Friday's contest as well because of a lower-body injury.
May 10 - 5:54 PM

Matt Moulson is dealing with a lower-body injury, according to coach Mike Yeo.

The Wild bench boss said Moulson is expected to stay off ice for a couple days. That means that he's likely to miss Friday's Game 4 meeting with the Chicago Blackhawks.
May 8 - 1:02 PM

Matt Moulson could be a healthy scratch Friday night in Game 4.

He didn't have a place on Minnesota's top-four lines during Thursday's practice. Matt Cooke, who is set to return from his seven-game suspension, skated on the third line alongside Erik Haula and Justin Fontaine in Moulson's place. He has recorded just one goal and two assists in 10 playoff games with the Wild. There's also the possibility that Moulson could be playing hurt and Cooke's return will give Minnesota a chance to rest him for a game.
May 8 - 12:13 PM

Matt Moulson scored his first goal of the playoffs on Saturday.

That was also Moulson's first point of the postseason. The Wild acquired Moulson from the Islanders to bolster their top-six for their playoff run and so far he hasn't lived up to expectations. The Wild are down 3-2 in their series against Colorado, so they have to hope that Moulson will break out now.
Apr 27 - 10:09 AM

Matt Moulson had a goal and four penalty minutes in Monday's game versus Los Angeles.

He picked four minutes for roughing after he came to the defense of teammate Jason Pominville, who was victimized on a hit by Jake Muzzin. "That stuff builds team chemistry," coach Mike Yeo said. "Whenever you see somebody who goes outside what's normal for them and they're doing it for the team, the way I saw our [penalty] killers go out on that kill and then for [Moulson] to get that goal, I thought it was great." Moulson has five goals and nine points in 14 games with the Wild.
Apr 1 - 9:39 AM

Matt Moulson scored the overtime winner for Minnesota Sunday night as they outlasted the Red Wings by a score of 4-3.

Moulson also picked up an assist in the win and is proving to be a nice fit with Minnesota with eight points in 10 games. With three of his points coming on the power play, he has also shown himself to be an asset with the man advantage. Charlie Coyle, Zach Parise and Jason Pominville also scored for the Wild in the win.
Mar 23 - 10:22 PM

Matt Moulson registered a pair of goals and picked up an assist for the Wild in a 6-0 drubbing of the New York Islanders Tuesday night.

Moulson had registered just one goal in his first six games as a member of the Wild entering the game, but perhaps a chance to take on his former mates provided some extra motivation. Justin Fontaine, Jared Spurgeon, Clayton Stoner and Mikael Granlund all contributed to the cause with goals in the victory.

Matt Moulson potted his first goal as a member of the Minnesota Wild in Sunday's 3-2 shootout loss to St. Louis.

Moulson has notched a goal and an assist in two outings with the Wild since being traded from Buffalo. He has an eight-game point streak going, which has seen him produce three goals and seven helpers during that span.
Mar 10 - 11:34 AM

Matt Moulson had an assist in his debut with the Wild on Saturday.

Moulson had just 11 goals and 29 points in 44 games with Buffalo, but his production should go up significantly now that he's with Minnesota. It wouldn't be surprising to see him average close to a point-per-game for the remainder of the 2013-14 campaign.
Mar 9 - 9:44 AM

Matt Moulson is projected to play with Mikko Koivu and Charlie Coyle when he makes his Minnesota debut on Saturday night.

He's expected to skate with those two forwards during Thursday's practice and he's eager to start playing with the Wild. "Minnesota is an incredible hockey state. The fans of Minnesota, it's pretty easy to see how passionate they are," he said. "It's exciting to go to a team that's doing extremely well right now and a great fanbase. I'm just excited to get there and help this team win any way I can."
Mar 6 - 12:33 PM

According to a source, Matt Moulson has been traded to the Minnesota Wild.

Cody McCormick is also on his way to the Wild for undisclosed draft picks and Torrey Michell. Moulson has registered 17 goals and 38 points in 55 games between the Islanders and Sabres this campaign. He'll add some scoring depth to Minnesota's roster for their playoff push.
