Adam Burish's upper body injury is a broken hand.

Burish has been ruled out for the second round, but he's hoping to prove that projection wrong. He had three points and 25 penalty minutes in 46 games in the regular season.
May 17 - 5:48 PM

Adam Burish isn't expected to play in the second round of the playoffs because of an upper-body injury.

He was slashed in the hand by Vancouver's Alex Edler late in the second period of Game 4 and did not play afterward. Burish didn't have a point in San Jose's opening round sweep of the Canucks, but he did record six hits and four blocks. "Brings an element of experience, grit, tenacity, so we're going to miss him," said coach Todd McLellan. "We've been able to recover from other injuries so far throughout the playoffs. I think the players that have adjusted and adapted their game and come into the lineup did a tremendous job. We're going to ask them to do that again."
May 9 - 3:42 PM

Adam Burish is back playing after being a healthy scratch for two games late in March.

Burish has only a goal and two assists in 39 games this season but has been playing all right on the fourth line. "I was pissed off about that. I wasn't happy about that, and I don't think that helped," Burish said with regards to his being a healthy scratch. "I would never say it's a good thing. But, it is what it is. It's not something that still lingers on with me. It happened, it's done. I'm going to continue to keep my game where it's at." He has little if any fantasy value as he has only 23 penalty minutes and a minus-six rating.
Apr 15 - 11:16 AM

Adam Burish is a healthy scratch for the first time this year.

He won't play Wednesday night versus the Ducks. Burish has just two points this season, while playing all 31 games.
Mar 27 - 10:08 PM

Adam Burish is projected to start the shortened season on the fourth line.

Burish isn't much of an offensive threat, but he is a gritty player that will block shots and throw his body around. "Maybe Burr can be that guy," Sharks coach Todd McLellan said. "Maybe he can stir up emotions, not just versus the opponent but within the locker room. He's earned the right to be that."
Jan 18 - 11:17 AM

The San Jose Sharks have signed Adam Burish to a four-year/$7.2 million contract.

Burish had his best offensive season in 2011-12 as he had six goals and 19 points in 65 games. He is a chippy player and will add some grit to the San Jose Sharks as a bottom six forward.
