Karri Ramo will start in Saturday's game against Florida.

This will be Ramo's first start since Oct. 25. He's been solid this season, but Jonas Hiller has been even better, so Ramo has his work cut out for him if he wants to prevent Hiller from becoming the team's clear cut number one goaltender.

Karri Ramo lost his third straight game Saturday night against the Capitals, 3-1.

Ramo made 27 saves in the loss. Signed during the offseason, it was expected Jonas Hiller would be the number-one guy in net. However, through ten games each goalie has five starts and coach Bob Hartley has continued to alternate on a game-by-game basis. Thus, this is a tough situation for fantasy owners and one that will have to be resolved in time. Ramo has a 2.38 goals-against average and .914 save percentage this season.

The Flames easily disposed of the Oilers 5-2 on Thursday night, but the score would have been a lot closer had Karri Ramo not stood tall with 38 saves in the road victory.

The 28 year-old Finn faced 40 shots in the busy season opener, which helps raise his save percentage to .950 after allowing just two goals. Ramo certainly made his mark in a crucial outing on the second half of a back-to-back. Lets see if this was enough to steal Saturday's start from Jonas Hiller.
