Karri Ramo came in relief of Jonas Hiller with 5:52 remaining in the game. This was a precautionary move to get Hiller out of a chippy game the Flames lost 4-1.
Ramo stopped both shots he faced. Unless word comes out that Hiller is injured, or Coach Hartley has had a sudden change of heart, expect Hiller to be between the pipes again for Sunday's Game Three. Apr 18 - 3:04 AM

Karri Ramo (leg) was able to skate with the Flames on Tuesday.

Ramo should still be regarded as day-to-day for now. He had a 2.60 GAA and .912 save percentage in 34 contests in the regular season.

There were no updates on Sunday with regards to the leg injury suffered by Karri Ramo.

Ramo is considered day-to-day but the injury was significant enough for the Flames to recall goalie Brad Thiessen from Adirondack of the AHL. Ramo has a 15-9-3 record with a 2.60 GAA and a .912 save percentage. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Apr 6 - 4:46 AM

Karri Ramo departed early in Saturday’s game because of an undisclosed injury.

Ramo left 58 seconds into the game. He went down on a shot attempt that went wide and appeared to favor his left leg once he returned to his feet. He didn’t face a shot on goal against Edmonton. Ramo has a 2.60 goals-against average and .912 save percentage this season.

Apr 5 - 12:33 AM

Karri Ramo will get the start against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night.

The Flames come in four points behind the Canucks for second in the Pacific, and one point ahead of the trailing Kings who sit outside the playoff bubble. Needless to say, it's necessary to win this game. Ramo for his part carries a 15-9-3 record with a .912 save percentage and a 2.60 GAA over 33 games this season.
Apr 4 - 6:45 PM

Karri Ramo allowed four goals on 35 shots in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild.

Calgary actually scored the game's first goal, but the Wild responded by scoring four goals on their own. This was Ramo's first regulation loss in his last five games (2-1-2). The 28-year-old's record now falls to 15-9-3 on the season. This was a huge loss for the Flames as they now trail Minnesota by six points. Calgary has been a pleasant surprise this season but unless they turn things around quickly, they will miss the post-season.
Mar 27 - 10:52 PM

Karri Ramo will get the start on Friday night against the Minnesota Wild.

Calgary comes in trailing Winnipeg by three points, and Minnesota by one more in the Wild Card. Calgary also trails Los Angeles by two points for third in the Pacific, so tonight's an important game any which way you slice it. Ramo for his part comes in with a 15-8-3 record with a 2.54 GAA and a .913 save percentage. He has never started against Minnesota before.
Mar 27 - 5:24 PM

Karri Ramo turned aside 27-of-30 shots in a 4-3 shootout loss to Dallas on Wednesday.

Ramo made his fourth straight start but turned in his second overtime loss during that stretch. He does have the trust of Bob Hartley and the Flames organization as he is getting the most critical starts of the season. He did nothing to dispel that trust on this night but couldn't save the day for the Flames. Ramo is 15-8-3 with a 2.54 GAA and .913 save percentage.
Mar 26 - 1:50 AM

Karri Ramo will get the start the call in goal Wednesday night when the Flames host the Stars.

Ramo will start his fourth straight game Wednesday. He has an impressive and unexpected 15-8-2 record in 31 games this season to go with a respectable 2.53 goals-against-average and .914 save percentage. He has not faced the Stars in the 2014-2015 season but in two career starts versus Dallas, he carries an ugly 5.27 GAA and .837 save percentage.
Mar 25 - 5:10 PM

Karri Ramo picked up clutch 3-2 win over Colorado, helping Calgary obtain the third slot in the Pacific.

Ramo made 25 saves in the effort. He was beaten only after a scrum in front of the net went awry, nearly making the save on Alex Tanguay's goal. And when Gabriel Landeskog expertly put one past him. Neither gave Colorado the lead, however. The win improves Ramo's record to 15-8-2 with a .914 save percentage and a 2.53 GAA.
Mar 24 - 2:56 AM

Karri Ramo will get the start against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night.

Through 26 starts and 30 appearances this season, Ramo has put together a 14-8-2 record with a .913 save percentage and a 2.55 GAA. However he only owns a dozen Quality Starts against five Really Bad Starts, a terrible ratio for any goalie. For his career versus Colorado while with Calgary, Ramo is 2-3-0 with three goals against in each game. Including March 14th's 23-save effort in defeat.
Mar 22 - 6:53 PM

The Columbus Blue Jackets beat Karri Ramo and the Calgary Flames 3-2 in OT on Saturday.

Ramo's record slips to 14-8-2. He made 23 out of 26 saves in that defeat, with all three goals coming at even strength.
Mar 21 - 7:13 PM

Karri Ramo will get the start against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night.

The Flames come in trailing the Winnipeg Jets by just one point for the final Ward Card slot, and the LA Kings by one point as well for third in the Pacific. Making tonight's matchup about as near a must-win as it gets. Ramo for his part is 13-8-1 with a .912 save percentage and a 2.60 GAA through 28 games this season.
Mar 19 - 6:14 PM

Karri Ramo stopped 23 of 26 shots in the Flames’ 3-2 loss to the Avalanche on Saturday night.

Ramo gave up two in the second and one in the third period. After a hot streak at the end of February, Ramo has been a bit shaky in his last few starts. He has posted save percentages of .885, .906 and .826 over the last three games. On the year, he has a 2.60 goals-against average and .912 save percentage. Starting him is risky.
Mar 15 - 12:52 AM

Karri Ramo will get the start versus the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night.

All of a sudden, the Flames find themselves the masters of their own playoff fate. They're currently second in the Pacific with 81 points, with a quartet of teams trailing by a trio of points or less. Ramo for his part is 13-7-1 with a .913 save percentage and a 2.58 GAA through 27 games this season. He also owns 11 Quality Starts against five Really Bad Starts. In addition, he's allowed exactly three goals in each of his previous four starts versus the Avs, winning the last two.
