He was reunited on a line with Brad Richards and Loui Eriksson. "I needed some rest to make the soreness go away," said Lundqvist. "I didn't have much power there a couple of weeks ago and even last week it was pretty bad, but now I'm back and I feel comfortable out there again." He logged over 13 minutes in his return after missing 29 of the last 30 games with a shoulder injury. Activate him if you normally would.

Coach Dave Tippett thinks that Joel Lundqvist could return to the Dallas lineup on Saturday.

Lundqvist has only played once in the last 30 games as he suffered a cracked scapula early in the season. He will skate on Saturday and will be a game-time decision. He has no fantasy value at this time, but could have eventually if the Stars make him a top-six forward.

Joel Lundqvist had a hard practice on Wednesday as he is closer to returning to the Dallas lineup after suffering a cracked scapula.

Lundqvist has missed 25 of the last 26 games for the Stars with the shoulder injury. "I’m going on the trip so we’ll see [tonight] or Saturday [against Phoenix]," Lundqvist said. "It feels a lot better and I have my strength back." Get ready to activate Lundqvist if you normally would as he should play by the weekend.

The Dallas Stars have placed Joel Lundqvist on the injured list retroactive to Dec. 20.

Lundqvist is still experiencing problems with his shoulder, that he originally injured on Oct. 25. He is eligible to return at any time as the injured list requires only a one week stay. He is still day-to-day.

"I think we just have to be cautious with him, because he's going to go hard, and he needs to be healthy," coach Dave Tippett said. Lundqvist has sat out the last three games for the Stars and it is unknown when he will draw back into the team's lineup as he loses strength in his shoulder when he tests it too vigorously. Keep him reserved for now.

He's still nursing a shoulder injury that has sidelined him for much of the season. Coach Dave Tippett said Lundqvist is also battling fatigue issues. He'll be re-evaluated Saturday.
