Chris Conner has signed a two-year, two-way deal with Philadelphia.
A career minor leaguer, Conner has played in only 180 NHL games since 2006-07. Last season was one of Conner's best however, scoring 19 goals and 52 points in 61 games for AHL Hershey. He's expected to simply provide organization depth in AHL Lehigh Valley. Jul 1 - 7:25 PM

Conner took part in Sunday and Monday's games against Boston and Buffalo respectively. He didn't log more than 10:06 minutes in either contest. The 31-year-old forward has 17 goals and 45 points in 47 AHL games in 2014-15.

Chris Conner will continue to remain in the Capitals lineup Monday night versus Buffalo.

After making his season debut with the Capitals Sunday afternoon, Connor will get another chance to show head coach Barry Trotz that he belongs. Jay Beagle continues to be sidelined with a shoulder injury so Conner will see fourth line minutes once again Monday night. Conner was able to record four penalty minutes and two shots on goal Sunday versus the Bruins but was unable to register a point.

"I don't have a time frame," Conner said. "It was just the next step. We'll see how that is for a few days. It's just a matter of getting your timing and making sure everything is working like it's supposed to." When he's healthy he may not have a spot on the roster with Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Penguins waived forward Chris Conner to go along with Andrew Ebbett on Sunday.

Conner played in 12 games for the Phoenix Coyotes last season, picking up a goal and an assist. His best season came with the Pittsburgh Penguins, as he played in 60 games and scored 16 points (both career-high marks). With Ebbett and Conner, Pittsburgh has some NHL experience waiting in the wings if someone gets hurt (unless they get claimed).
