Rod Pelley scored in his season debut with the Ducks.

Anaheim acquired Pelley from New Jersey on Monday as part of a four-player swap. He's more of a defensive forward and he shouldn't be counted on to chip in offensively very often.

The New Jersey Devils have shipped Rod Pelley to the Anaheim Ducks as part of a four-player trade.

Pelley has no points and seven penalty minutes in seven games this season. He might be a solid bottom-six forward with the Ducks, but he won't have any fantasy value in standard leagues.

Rod Pelley isn't sure if he still has a role to play with the New Jersey Devils.

Pelley is primarily a fourth line player, but his spot in the lineup might have been taken by Vladimir Zharkov, who was recently called up. "I wouldn't say I know exactly what's going on," Pelley said. "Really all I can control now having Zharky called up is to focus on tomorrow in Washington and be ready to play." Pelley is expected to be a healthy scratch on Friday, but might be back in the lineup Saturday. We'll keep you posted.

Pelley played on the fourth line in Tuesday's contest, but it looks like that role will be filled by Vladimir Zharkov, who was just called up from the minors, on Friday. Pelley has no fantasy value.

Rod Pelley's first goal of the season was the only Devils marker in a 4-1 loss to Toronto on Sunday.

It should go without saying that a forward who has notched five career goals in 165 games played has no fantasy value, but in case that's not clear, he's not worth a pickup in your league.
