Patrick Kaleta and Ryan Miller appeared to patch up their differences Tuesday.

"He's like my brother, one of my best friends on the team," Kaleta said after Tuesday's morning skate. "Some things were misunderstood there but we're family. Our season hasn't gone the way we wanted it to go and everyone knows that. Our job is to come together as a team and go out there and battle." Miller said that Kaleta "needs to just grow up" after he complained about being a healthy scratch. However, the emotional and outspoken goaltender sees the error of his ways and he said, "We're going to try to move on from that." Ironically, Kaleta was back in the lineup for Tuesday night's game against Montreal while Miller watched the bench as Jhonas Enroth's backup.

Patrick Kaleta "needs to just grow up" according to teammate Ryan Miller.

Kaleta finished his five-game suspension for his illegal hit on Brad Richards and was a healthy scratch on Sunday. That pissed Kaleta off and his handling of it seems to have annoyed Miller. Buffalo's chances of making the playoffs are slim and it looks like the Sabres are in for a long finish to the season.

Patrick Kaleta was back in the lineup Saturday after missing five games with a neck injury.

Kaleta got injured following a nasty hit-from-behind by Toronto’s Mike Brown on January 29."We’ve had discussions, and I’ll have another one with him today. In his case, he can’t put himself in that position," coach Ruff said. "I still think there’s a little bit of the onus on the player that’s attacking, but there’s an onus on the player that’s gonna receive that hit too. Especially in Patty’s case, to not put your head in that position."
