Dan Carcillo venerated his friend and late teammate Steve Montador after the Blackhawks captured the Stanley Cup on Monday night.
"Obviously the memory of Steve, and his spirit is still with me," Carcillo said. "I'm a big believer in signs and everything happens for a reason, and whatever reason he passed hopefully it's because of the foundation and because of how we're going to help a lot of guys and a lot of people in the future." Carcillo has been perhaps the most outspoken about the difficulties players face once they leave the game. "And that's the goal, and his death won't be for naught and hopefully make a lot of other guys' lives a little easier and less stressful and they won't have to worry about the same things that guys moving on have to worry about today." The 30 year old Carcillo will become an UFA on July 1st. Jun 16 - 8:37 PM

The Blackhawks will use the same lineup that led to victories in Games 4 and 5 for Game 6 Monday night versus the Lightning.

After winning two straight games over Tampa Bay, the Hawks will not make any changes to their lineup for Game 6. If the Hawks are going to win the Stanley Cup in front of the home crowd Monday night, Dan Carcillo, Joakim Nordstrom, Ville Pokka, Phillip Danault, Ryan Hartman, and Viktor Svedberg will all be watching from the press box.

Daniel Carcillo and Joakim Nordstrom will be healthy scratches in Sunday's game against Minnesota.

Neither player participated in Chicago's line rushes during the pre-game warmup. Carcillo has yet to participate in a playoff game in 2015, but the Hawks won't mess with a winning formula at this point.
May 3 - 8:19 PM

Daniel Carcillo has been medically cleared to return from an upper-body injury.

However, he will probably be a healthy scratch when Chicago starts their second-round series against Minnesota on Friday. Carcillo hasn't played since Mar. 25 and he appeared in 39 games with the Blackhawks this season.
Apr 30 - 1:17 PM

Daniel Carcillo (upper body) won't be medically cleared in time for Tuesday's game.

Carcillo is hoping to take the tests needed to get cleared on Wednesday instead. He hasn't played since March 25. He had four goals and eight points in 39 regular season games.
Apr 21 - 1:34 PM

Daniel Carcillo (upper body) didn't take part in Chicago's practice on Tuesday.

At this point we would be surprised if Carcillo ended up playing in Game 1 of Chicago's first round series against Nashville. Carcillo had four goals and eight points in 39 contests in 2014-15.
Apr 14 - 12:55 PM

Daniel Carcillo will be scratched against the St. Louis Blues on Sunday night.

Still healing from an upper body injury, Carcillo has played just twice since Feb. 22nd. He's posted eight points, 36 PIMs, and 54 hits over 39 games this season.
Apr 5 - 7:18 PM

Daniel Carcillo sat out practice on Thursday because of an upper-body injury.

He is listed as day-to-day. Carcillo played on Wednesday against Philadelphia and he fought Pierre-Edouard Bellemare in the match. The Blackhawks didn't say if the fight is what caused his injury.
Mar 27 - 10:54 AM

Dan Carcillo will be back in the Blackhawks lineup Wednesday night versus the Flyers.

Wednesday will be Carcillo's first game since March 8th versus the New York Rangers. The fourth line tough guy has played in 38 games this season netting four goals and four assits with 49 PIMs but hasn't been able to find regular ice time. He will replace Bryan Bickell as the Blackhawks look to add some toughness as they take on the Flyers.
Mar 25 - 7:52 PM

Daniel Carcillo, Joakim Nordstrom, and David Rundblad will each be scratched against the NY Islanders on Tuesday night.

Of the three, only Carcillo has a modicum of fantasy value. And he has just 36 hits and 49 PIMs in 38 games this season. He's also played just once in the month of March.
Mar 17 - 8:00 PM

Daniel Carcillo will skate for the first time since Feb. 22nd on the third line Sunday night against one of his former clubs, the New York Rangers.

Carcillo will skate to the right of Patrick Sharp and Brad Richards. He's posted eight points, 36 hits, and 49 PIMs through 37 games this season. Which is similar to his three points, 58 hits, and 43 PIMs in 31 games he had with the Rangers back in 2013-14.
Mar 8 - 6:24 PM

Daniel Carcillo will be a healthy scratch Monday night when the Blackhawks host the Hurricanes.

The fourth line veteran will sit out for a fourth consecutive game Monday night against Carolina. He has four goals and eight points in 37 games this season, but what usually drives his fantasy value is his ability to rack up penalty minutes, however, he’s only recorded 49 of them this season. With that being said, he no longer carries any fantasy value.
Mar 2 - 8:12 PM

Dan Carcillo and Michal Rozsival will be scratched again versus the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday night.

Tonight will make three straight in the stands for Carcillo, who has played just 10 of his 37 games this season in 2015. He has collected just 49 PIMs and 36 hits when he has managed to hit the ice. Meanwhile this is Rozy's second straight game in the stands, and has just eight points and 81 hits through 49 games this season.
Feb 27 - 7:02 PM

Dan Carcillo and Michal Rozsival will be scratched against the Florida Panthers on Thursday night.

Carcillo has played in just 10 of his 37 games this season in 2015, and it doesn't appear he'll be staying in the lineup consistently. He also has just 49 PIMs and 36 hits this season, not very much for a notable pest.
Feb 26 - 7:28 PM

Dan Carcillo will miss Friday's tilt with Colorado while attending former teammate Steve Montador's funeral.

Through 36 games this season, Carcillo has eight points, 34 hits, 42 PIMs. Not much production there from the two-time champion pest.
