Brandon Dubinsky should be poised for a big year as the Blue Jackets look to contend in 2015-2016.
Dubinsky has always been a solid fantasy contributor but has become tagged as an injury-prone player. He appeared in just 47 games last season, scoring 13 goals and 36 points with a plus 11 rating and 43 penalty minutes. He is a rare player that can contribute in every fantasy category, similar to his teammate, Scott Hartnell. He carries a bit more risk than Hartnell due to his injury history but if he is able to play a full season, he could become a top 75 fantasy player overall and reward drafters with a big payout. The Blue Jackets have made some nice additions to their roster and Dubinsky will be healthy entering camp which means he will play an important role in leading the offense. Aug 2 - 5:31 PM

Brandon Dubinsky lost four teeth on Saturday when he took a high stick to his mouth.

It was a tough year injury-wise for Dubinsky who started the season on the injured list after undergoing abdominal surgery at the start of the season. He played in only 47 games with 13 goals and 36 points, so he should be fairly high on your fantasy board next season if you think he can remain healthy.
Apr 13 - 5:37 AM

Brandon Dubinsky had an assist on Friday to boost his points streak to seven games.

Dubinsky has three goals and 10 points during the streak and now has 12 goals and 35 points in 46 games this season. That projects to a 62 point season over a full 82 game schedule so Dubinsky should be a fairly high pick in pools next season if you think he can remain healthy.
Apr 11 - 6:44 AM

Brandon Dubinsky recorded two assists in a 5-0 win against Toronto on Wednesday.

Dubinsky extended his point streak to six games. He has 12 goals and 34 points in 45 contests in 2014-15.
Apr 9 - 10:54 AM

Brandon Dubinsky scored one of the Blue Jackets' goals in their 4-3 overtime loss to the Rangers in New York Monday night.

The goal was the 12th of the season for the ex-Ranger. The other Columbus goals were netted by Matt Calvert, also his 12th, and Marko Dano, his eighth. The Blue Jackets squandered a good chance to win this one, allowing Derek Stepan to tie the game at 3-3 at 19:32 of the third period and then giving up another goal to Stepan at 4:10 of OT. The Blue Jackets (39-35-5) had their club record nine-game winning streak come to an end. They hadn't lost since March 15. They also had their franchise-best eight-game road winning streak come to an end.
Apr 6 - 10:30 PM

Brandon Dubinsky had three assists on Saturday to give him 31 points in 43 games.

Dubinsky has spent far too much time on the injured reserve list this season but he is now on a four game points streak and deserves to be in your lineup heading into the final week of the season.
Apr 5 - 5:36 AM

Brandon Dubinsky extended his point streak to three games on Thursday.

Dubinsky scored a goal in Columbus' 4-3 shootout win over the New York Islanders. He has 11 goals and 28 points in 42 contests in 2014-15.
Apr 3 - 10:39 AM

Brandon Dubinsky (upper body) returned to action on Friday.

The Blue Jackets won 5-2 but Dubinsky was a minus-one with nary a point in the game. He played 16:51 after missing 10 days. Dubinsky has nine goals and 25 points in 36 games this season. Put him back in your lineup.

Brandon Dubinsky (upper body) took part in Thursday's practice.

Mar 21 - 10:23 AM

It was reported earlier today that Dubinsky would be available but the news came out after the pregame skate just a few minutes before the game. Dubinsky was apparently hurt during a practice session on Tuesday.
Mar 18 - 10:12 PM

Brandon Dubinsky (undisclosed injury) will be in the Blue Jackets lineup Wednesday night in Edmonton.

Good news for the Blue Jackets and fantasy owners as Dubinsky's injury will not cause him to miss any games. The Alaskan native has registered nine goals and 25 points with a plus nine rating and 37 penalty minutes in only 38 games played this season. If Dubinsky could avoid the injury bug, he would be a top 50 fantasy player, but something always seems to slow him down during the course of the year.
Mar 18 - 6:15 PM

Brandon Dubinsky sustained an undisclosed ailment during Tuesday's practice.

Dubinsky is questionable for Wednesday's contest as a result. He just returned from an illness on Sunday.
Mar 17 - 1:03 PM

Look for Brandon Dubinsky (illness) to play on Sunday.

Dubinsky missed the last two games with the illness but was back on the ice Saturday for a skate and should play Sunday. Dubinsky has nine goals, 25 points, 37 PIMs, and 120 hits through 37 games while wining 51% of his 710 faceoffs this season so it is likely safe to put him back in your lineup.
Mar 15 - 7:55 AM

Brandon Dubinsky will be out sick during Friday night's tilt with the Edmonton Oilers.

It'll be Dubinsky's third straight game out with an illness, and he's played just three times through the first two weeks of March. For the season, Dubinsky has nine goals, 25 points, 37 PIMs, and 120 hits through 37 games while wining 51% of his 710 faceoffs.
