Brandon Dubinsky finished the 2-0 loss to the Ottawa Senators with 12 penalty minutes.
Dubinsky was assessed a 10-minute misconduct at the conclusion of the game. His current pace of 0.43 points-per-game represents the lowest total of his career. He has always brought a nice blend of points and penalty minutes but halfway through the season, the points just haven't been there for him. If he can start scoring, he'll be a nice boost for fantasy managers during the second half of the season. Jan 19 - 10:49 PM

Brandon Dubinsky scored a pair of goals in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

Brandon Dubinsky has been removed from the Blue Jackets' second power-play unit.

Dubinksy, who has only three goals this season, has not tallied in 15 straight games, so this move should not come as no surprise. William Karslsson took Dubinsky's spot with the man advantage Friday night. Columbus coach John Tortorella had this to say about Dubi's demotion: "It’s great to say, ‘Yeah, I’m getting chances!’ Yeah, well, chances aren’t good enough now, because the league has gotten better." Ouch! If you have Dubinsky on your fantasy team, you may want to bench him for a while if you have not already done so.

Brandon Dubinsky was hard on himself after Thursday's streak ending 5-0 loss to Washington.

"Disappointed in myself right now," Dubinsky said. "I’ve got to be better. This was one of my worst big-game performances I’ve had in my career. I can’t be a minus-4, I can’t have that turnover I did, especially in a game where you never know, we score goals in bunches." Had Columbus won that contest it would have tied the 1992-93 Pittsburgh Penguins' winning streak record of 17. While Dubinsky was minus-four, it's worth adding that he also had two shots on goal and seven hits in 13:01 minutes of ice time. It will be interesting to if Dubinsky and the Blue Jackets bounce back Saturday against the Rangers.
Jan 6 - 10:48 AM

The Columbus Blue Jackets saw their 16-game winning streak come to an end on Thursday night.

It ended with a thump, as they fell to the Washington Capitals by a score of 5-0. Dubinsky finished the game with an ugly minus-4 rating, two shots on goal and seven hits in 13:01 of ice time. It'll be interesting to see how the relatively young Blue Jackets team responds to seeing their streak come to an end.

Brandon Dubinsky registered two assists in Columbus' 3-2 shootout win on Tuesday.

Dubinsky has three goals and 12 points in 28 contests in 2016-17. That's a step down from 2015-16 when he recorded 48 points, but it wouldn't be surprising if he picks up the pace as the season goes on.

Brandon Dubinsky got his first goal since Nov. 20 in Friday's 4-1 win over Detroit.

He collected just two assists in his previous eight appearances. Dubinsky has struggled for the most part offensively this season with three goals and eight points in 23 contests.

Brandon Dubinsky continued his scoring ways with a goal in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Capitals.

The veteran pivot now has two goals and five points in 14 games this season, each point of which has come this month. Known more for his physical play at this point, it's good to see him contribute more to the score sheet.

Wed, Nov 9, 2016 01:24:00 PM

Brandon Dubinsky has only one assist in seven games.

Not only he is having trouble in the offensive zone but he is also a minus-eight this season. The center had 48 points but was a minus-16 last season so while he should start scoring, a poor plus/minus will be nothing new to Dubinsky. Have some doubts if you are thinking of putting him into your lineup.
Sun, Oct 30, 2016 06:56:00 AM

Brandon Dubinsky is pointless and has a minus-six rating after only two games.

His second game was better than his first as he was minus-five against the Bruins in the Blue Jackets seasonal debut. Dubinsky had 48 points and a minus-16 rating last season so it's not like this is new to him. He should bounce back and get 45-50 points but will have huge trouble being a plus-player this season in Columbus.
