This was Dubinsky's first game back in Columbus' lineup after suffering a concussion on February 26th against Montreal. The injury forced him to miss three games, but Dubinsky didn't miss a beat. The 28-year-old picked up an assist on Justin Falk's first period goal and he extended Columbus' lead to 2-0 in the second frame. Dubinsky has nine goals and 24 points in 35 games this season. Dubinsky suffered the injury on Thursday but practiced some on Friday before leaving the ice. "The doctors examined him in the first period," coach Todd Richards said. "There was some neck and shoulder soreness. After the evaluation, just as a precaution, we kept him out of the game. He came in the next morning and felt great. He went out on the ice and started developing symptoms. We got him off right away, and he was re-examined by our doctors. It was ruled a concussion." With only six weeks left in the season, it could be time to cut bait with Dubinsky in one-year pools.

Brandon Dubinsky suffered an upper body injury immediately after tying the game at one early in Thursday's tilt with Montreal.

Because a myriad of injuries, Dubinsky has already missed 26 games this season but he's been effective in the 34 games he has played, including tonight. He has eight goals, 22 points, 37 PIMs, and 112 hits while winning 51% of his faceoffs. The extent and type of his injury is not yet known.

Brandon Dubinsky took a boarding penalty that led to the deciding goal in Columbus' 3-2 loss to Montreal on Wednesday.

"Just a stupid penalty," Dubinsky said. "I've got to know better. I'm a veteran and looked at to be a leader in here. It was just a (dumb) play. I've got to make sure I hold myself accountable and be better." He was also credited with seven hits in 20:51 minutes of ice time. Columbus had a 2-0 lead, but Montreal rallied in the final 10 minutes of the contest.

There's a chance Brandon Dubinsky might get into trouble for an incident that occurred at the end of Saturday's game.

Dubinsky swung his stick at New York Islanders forward John Tavares and appeared to hit an NHL linesman. The official didn't give him a game misconduct for abusing an official, which would have triggered an automatic suspension, but it's still possible that the league might fine or suspend Dubinsky. There hasn't been any word from the league on the subject yet, but the Blue Jackets don't play until Wednesday, so the NHL still has plenty of time to make its decision.

The goals were Dubinksy’s first two of the season. His first period goal tied the game at 1-1, while his second period goal gave the Jackets a 2-1 lead. Dubinsky missed the first 26 games of the regular season with a lower body injury, but he has given the Blue Jackets a boost since his return. Dubinsky had an assist on Saturday to give him seven in 10 games and five in his last three. He has yet to score this season but is a plus-four with 15 penalty minutes in 10 games.
