Brandon Dubinsky doesn't plan to change anything based on his one-game suspension for crosschecking Sidney Crosby.
"The next time I have an opportunity to play (Crosby), I’m going to play him hard," Dubinsky said. "Like I said before, I’m not trying to crosscheck a guy in the neck, regardless of what anybody else thinks. I’m going to play him hard, I’m going to play him as physical as I can, and I’m going to play as clean as I can. But I’ll make it a tough night on him." Dubinsky is eligible to return on Tuesday. His next opportunity to play against Crosby will have to wait until Dec. 21 though. Nov 30 - 5:28 AM

Brandon Dubinsky will return to action on Tuesday after being suspended for one game.

Dubinsky was handed the discipline for his cross-check to the neck of Sidney Crosby. It was the first suspension of his career and it forced him to miss the St. Louis game. "We absolutely missed him," Ryan Johansen said. "We all know what he provides for this team, in so many areas. I thought we had guys step up and play pretty big minutes. It’s a tough club over there. But Dubi is one of our difference-makers." Dubinsky has four goals and 12 points in 18 games this season. He should be in your lineup when healthy (or not suspended).
Nov 29 - 7:03 AM

Brandon Dubinsky has been suspended one game for his cross-check on Penguins forward Sidney Crosby.

Dubinsky delivered a cross-check to Crosby's neck in Friday's game and will now pay the price. Crosby left the game momentarily, but he was able to return. The Blue Jackets will take on the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night and it looks like they will do so without Dubinsky. It's the first time he's been suspended in his career.
Nov 28 - 2:10 PM

The NHL has summoned Brandon Dubinsky to a hearing for his cross-check on Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby.

Dubinsky cross-checked Crosby in the neck and then gave him one more for good measure when Crosby fell to the ice after the hit. "There’s no secret. I try to play him as hard as I can," Dubinsky said. "That being said, I don’t try and do anything dirty. I felt like my stick ride up his back a little bit. He’s kind of bent over there in front. But again, that’s not the type of player I am. I’m going to play hard, but try and play fair and play in between the whistle." The NHL likely will disagree with his appraisal and sit him down for a spell. Stay tuned.
Nov 28 - 6:04 AM

Brandon Dubinsky said his elbow felt good in his return on Wednesday.

Dubinsky logged 17:48 minutes in what was his first game in just over two weeks. "And the lungs and legs were better than I thought they’d be, too," Dubinsky said. "The only thing off was my timing on a couple plays. But it’s a fast game. It’ll come." He has four goals and 11 points in 17 games this season.
Nov 27 - 10:30 AM

Brandon Dubinsky will indeed start on Wednesday.

That was to be expected after Columbus took Dubinsky off of the injured reserve list on Tuesday, but now we have confirmation. This is a big boost for Columbus as Dubinsky was off to a strong start with four goals and 11 points in 16 contests.
Nov 25 - 11:42 AM

Brandon Dubinsky appears to be ready to return on Wednesday after all.

He has been activated off injured reserve after missing the last six games with an elbow injury. In 16 appearances this season, Dubinsky has four goals and 11 points.
Nov 24 - 4:31 PM

Brandon Dubinsky (upper body) won't play Wednesday.

He participated in Monday's practice, but there isn't a timetable set for his return. Right now his return is dependent on how well the stitches over left elbow heal.
Nov 23 - 2:19 PM

Brandon Dubinsky will miss two to three weeks because of an upper body injury and has been placed on injured reserve.

Dubinsky picked up the injury sometime before Friday's game against Pittsburgh. The 29-year-old has four goals and 11 points in 16 games this season. The Jackets recalled Kerby Rychel to take his spot on the roster.
Nov 14 - 5:49 PM

Brandon Dubinsky (upper body) is questionable for Saturday's tilt against Arizona.

Dubinsky was unable to go on Friday late in the day and it forced the Blue Jackets to go with 11 forwards and seven defensemen. Dubinsky has 11 points in 16 games thus far so his offense will be missed on your fantasy squad if he remains out of action.
Nov 14 - 6:03 AM

Brandon Dubinsky has been sidelined with an upper body injury, and will miss Friday's game with Pittsburgh.

Dubinsky is having a nice season so far with four goals, 11 points, and 31 hits in 16 games so far. We'll keep you posted on his status.
Nov 13 - 6:40 PM

Brandon Dubinsky extended his point streak to three games in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Kings.

Dubinsky tallied both a goal and an assist, raising his season total to four goals and 10 points in 14 games this season. Pretty good, and he even has points in four of his last five.
Nov 6 - 2:16 AM

Brandon Dubinsky had an assist in Columbus' 3-1 win over New Jersey on Tuesday.

Dubinsky has gotten a point in each of his three games since John Tortorella took over as the Blue Jackets' head coach. That gives Dubinsky six points in 10 games in 2015-16.
Oct 28 - 10:19 AM

Brandon Dubinsky led all Blue Jackets forwards in playing time in John Tortorella's first game with Columbus.

Dubinsky was already familiar with Tortorella, but the two didn't always have the best of relationships when they were with the New York Rangers. Still, it looks like Tortorella sees a lot of value in his services at this stage of Dubinsky's career.
Oct 23 - 10:20 AM

Brandon Dubinsky scored for the Blue Jackets on Thursday night, but the result was all too familiar as the team lost 3-2 to Minnesota.

It was the Jackets' eighth straight loss to start the season, and first under new head coach John Tortorella. Dubinsky has four points and is a -5 so far in eight games this year.
