Jannik Hansen snapped his six-game goal drought during Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to Columbus.

The veteran winger is now up to just three goals with his tally in the game, giving him seven points in 16 games overall. Those are nice rates, but probably not worth banking on.

Canucks GM Jim Benning said that he won't ask any player to waive his no-trade clause, which means Jannik Hansen is now expected to spend the full campaign with Vancouver.

Hansen is still just 30 years old and has another season on his four-year, $10 million contract beyond the 2016-17 campaign, so the Canucks might not have traded him anyways. That being said, the Canucks aren't looking like a contender for a playoff spot this season and unless that changes it is a little surprising that Benning is taking potential trade chips off the table. Hansen was happy to hear the news though. "I want to play here," he said. "I love being around the guys. I love the city and I want to win here. And I’ve been here for a very long time (nine seasons). It’s nice that you don’t have to speculate as to whether they’re going to come in five days or five weeks to ask you for a list of (trade) teams."
