Andrew Ebbett scored a goal and two assists, his first points of the season, in the Canucks 7-4 win over the Nashville Predators.
Ebbett had one of the best games of his career in his second game back from being called up from the minors. Ebbett has proved to be an excellent source of offense in his AHL career, scoring 204 points in 210 games. The 5'9 center isn't much of offensive threat in the NHL mostly due to his small frame. He's 30 years old so don't expect much more than a skilled fourth liner. Mar 15 - 2:21 AM

Vancouver has recalled Andrew Ebbett.

He played five games with the Canucks at the beginning of the season, but hasn't played at the NHL level since Feb. 12. Ebbett will take Jordan Schroeder's spot on the team's roster after the youngster was reassigned to the minors to make room for him.

Andrew Ebbett picked up an assist in his first AHL game since being demoted by the Vancouver Canucks Tuesday.

Ebbett centered the Chicago Wolves Darren Haydar and Bill Sweatt and the duo each had three points with Haydar potting a couple of goals and Sweatt picking up one. Ebbett could find himself being recalled if the Canucks have a slew of injuries up front, otherwise expect the depth forward to remain in the minors the remainder of the season.

Ebbett was placed on waivers Monday afternoon. He's purely a depth forward and has no fantasy value.

Andrew Ebbett is currently battling Jordan Schroeder for the second line spot held by the injured David Booth.

Booth has been have issues with his groin and underwent an MRI on Monday. "Andrew has been playing for the last three and half months (in Chicago) and according to (Wolves coach) Scott Arniel has been their best offensive forward at the center position," coach Alain Vigneault said. "So him and Jordan right now are fighting it out for that spot. . .Is Andrew going to be able to do it? Is Jordan going to be able to do it? We'll sort that out and see what happens." Ebbett has the experience and should be a good fit between Mason Raymond and Zack Kassian as Ryan Kesler who is also slated to be on the third line, is out as he is still recovering from off-season shoulder and hip surgeries.

Andrew Ebbett was a healthy scratch on Sunday in his AHL game.

Ebbett plays for the Vancouver Canucks farm team in Chicago and an AHL rule states that 13 of the 18 skaters must be developmental players who have played less than 260 pro games and one who has played less than 320. The Chicago Wolves must keep switching their lineup around to make the limit and Ebbett was the odd man out on Sunday. He has an excellent chance of cracking the Canucks lineup as they are weak up the middle.

Andrew Ebbett has inked a one-year, two-way extension with the Vancouver Canucks.

Ebbett is set to make $300,000 if he plays in the minors or $600,000 at the NHL level. He had five goals and six points in 18 games with the Vancouver Canucks in 2011-12. You'd have to be in a very deep league to be tempted to select him in your upcoming 2012-13 campaign fantasy drafts.

Ebbett was a healthy scratch in Game 1. Bitz will be serving the first game in his two-game suspension.

Andrew Ebbett potted the game-winning goal in the Vancouver Canucks' 3-2 overtime victory against the Calgary Flames on Saturday night.

Ebbett had been sidelined for 12 weeks with a broken collarbone, so this was a nice way to return. Still, with 23 goals in 159 games, the forward is not someone that should be on your wish list come next season. Maxim Lapierre (eighth) and Marc-Andre Gragnani (second) had the other tallies. Henrik Sedin and Alexander Edler had two helpers apiece.

Andrew Ebbett returned to the Vancouver Canucks' lineup on Saturday after missing three months with a broken collarbone.

The forward had not played since Jan. 7, and he made quite the return, getting the game-winner in overtime versus the Calgary Flames. He played 12:29 in the win.

Andrew Ebbett (broken collarbone) may return by the end of the season.

Ebbett broke his collarbone when hit by the Bruins Dennis Seidenberg on January 7. It was initially thought that he would be gone for the rest of the regular season but he has been skating and practicing and could return in the next 10-11 days. Stay tuned although he has no fantasy value.

Andrew Ebbett practised for the second time on Friday since breaking his collarbone in early January.

He is still hoping to return to action before the end of the season. We don't expect Ebbett will contribute much from a fantasy perspective, even if he does get back into the Vancouver lineup. However, Ebbett's is a nice story none-the-less.
