Coach David Quinn said McQuaid's lower-body injury is different from what the team originally thought and the Rangers blueliner has been downgraded from day-to-day as a result.
Nov 4 - 5:35 PM

Adam McQuaid (lower body) hasn't skated for about a week.

Adam McQuaid (lower body) won't be available for Sunday's game.

McQuaid is regarded as day-to-day beyond that. The Rangers' current road trip also involves contests in San Jose on Tuesday and Anaheim on Thursday and the hope is that McQuaid will be able to return on one of those dates.
Oct 27 - 6:00 PM

Adam McQuaid left Thursday's contest against the Chicago Blackhawks with a lower-body injury and did not return.

The extent of the injury is unknown, so consider his status day-to-day for now. If he is unable to suit up on Sunday against the Los Angeles Kings, Tony DeAngelo might get another shot at entering the lineup.

Adam McQuaid will suit up in Game 1 on Thursday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

That will make Nick Holden a healthy scratch for Boston's playoff opener. There was a spot open on Boston's defense corps because of Brandon Carlo's season-ending injury and McQuaid appears to have claimed it - at least for now.
Apr 11 - 1:12 PM

Adam McQuaid has been competing with Nick Holden for Brandon Carlo's vacant spot on the back end.

McQuaid was in the lineup on Thursday after Holden played alongside Torey Krug on Tuesday night. "Adam's played with Torey," said coach Bruce Cassidy. "Obviously, we're trying to find the right fit there." Boston has two games left on the schedule, so they each could get one more chance to impress before the postseason.

Feb 24 - 6:50 PM

Adam McQuaid logged 15:12 of ice time in his return to the lineup on Wednesday night from a broken right fibula.

Kevan Miller was absent due an illness against Montreal. McQuaid had four shots and two blocks in his first contest since Oct 19. He also saw 1:34 of penalty kill time, including 1:09 during a 5-on-3.
