Minnesota has sent Mikko Lehtonen and Jeff Penner to Boston for Anton Khudobin.

Lehtonen inked a one-year deal with Skelleftea of the Swedish Elite League because he didn't think he had a good chance to make the Bruins' 2010-11 roster. Given the amount of depth they've had this season, we can't say that we blame Lehtonen. He has 29 goals and 56 points in 52 games this season.

Mikko Lehtonen has signed a one-year deal with Skelleftea of the Swedish Elite League.

He was a restricted free agent, but felt there wasn't much of an opportunity for him to crack the Boston roster. The Bruins will retain his NHL rights though. He led their AHL affiliate, in Providence, in scoring last season with 23 goals and 50 points in 78 games.
