Tobias Enstrom had a back injury at the end of the regular season.
The ailment forced him to sit out the final seven games of the year, but it won't require off-season surgery. Enstrom will just need to get more rest and treatment during the summer. May 23 - 9:24 AM

It's not a great sign at all that Winnipeg Jets defenseman Tobias Enstrom is being listed as "week-to-week" instead of a day-to-day.

With that in mind, it seems like just a formality that the underrated offensive blueliner will be placed on the IR. As effective as he is as a scorer, injuries are making him a riskier pick with each season.
Apr 14 - 1:49 PM

Tobias Enstrom won't play Thursday because of a middle-body injury.

He was hurt in Tuesday's contest and didn't skate Wednesday. Paul Postma will dress in his place against the Florida Panthers.
Apr 11 - 1:20 PM

Tobias Enstrom did not participate in Wednesday's practice because of a middle-body issue.

"He's day-to-day, he's a little bit sore today so I'm not sure what will happen there," coach Claude Noel said. "And I'm not sure who would go in, if that's your follow-up question. We'll see tomorrow in the morning." If Enstrom can't play Thursday then Paul Postma or Derek Meech may be the most likely candidates to step into the lineup.
Apr 10 - 3:16 PM

Tobias Enstrom was forced to leave Tuesday's game after being on the receiving end of a hit.

He tried to play a shift afterward but had to exit after coach Claude Noel said, "it just seized up. It's just something that happens when you put stress on muscles." Enstrom's night ended following just six shifts and 5:26 of ice time. He is listed as day-to-day.
Apr 10 - 9:17 AM

Tobias Enstrom scored for a second straight game since returning from injury in Tuesday's win over Carolina.

In both games, his marker ended up holding as the game winner. The offensive-minded defenseman has four goals and 15 points in 15 games this year. Dress Enstrom with confidence for the remainder of the lockout-shortened season.
Mar 27 - 9:31 AM

Tobias Enstrom scored what would become the game-winning goal in his return from a shoulder injury Sunday night against Tampa.

His third goal of the 2013 campaign came just prior to the midway point of the second period. Enstrom logged 23:40 of ice time and finished with a plus-2 rating as well after missing the past 19 games. "He was good," coach Claude Noel said of Enstrom's return. "You can see what he can bring ... with his playmaking and his thinking. There was a little bit of rust in there, especially early, but he was good." Get him back in your lineup.
Mar 25 - 9:27 AM

The speculation is true: Winnipeg Jets defenseman Tobias Enstrom will be back in action on Sunday.

He's been sidelined since Feb. 15 with a shoulder injury. It's a shame, too, because he began the 2013 season with 13 points in 13 games and remains one of the NHL's most underrated scoring defensemen when healthy.
Mar 24 - 4:07 PM

There's a chance Tobias Enstrom (shoulder) will return to the Winnipeg Jets' lineup on Sunday.

"Toby looks like he might be able to turn that corner," Jets head coach Claude Noel said. "So we’ll see if we can get him in there." Enstrom hasn't played since Feb. 15. Before the injury, he was off to a fantastic start with two goals and 13 points in 13 games.
Mar 23 - 5:29 PM

Tobias Enstrom (shoulder) wasn't wearing an orange 'no-contact' jersey during Tuesday's game-day practice.

The Jets will see how he his injured shoulder stands up to contact before suggesting a timetable for his return to the lineup. "It feels good being back with the team. Being back with the same guys feels really good," said Enstrom, who has missed the past 17 games. "We haven't set a time and are taking it slow here. We'll see in the next couple of days coming up here. The last couple of days I've been feeling great and skating with the team. It's been a tough couple of weeks here and I'll be happy to be back playing soon."
Mar 20 - 9:25 AM

Tobias Enstrom (shoulder) skated Thursday at practice in a no-contact jersey.

There is still no timetable for his return. "We haven't set a time yet for anything," said Enstrom. "This is my first practice with the team. It's fun to be back with the guys again. I've been skating by myself for a long time. I'll probably practice tomorrow and see how that feels. I'm looking to come back as quick as I can, but I'm going to be careful with it, too." Enstrom hasn't played since Feb. 15.
Mar 14 - 5:54 PM

Tobias Enstrom (shoulder) is about a week away from returning to the lineup, according to coach Claude Noel.

Enstrom hasn't played since Feb. 15 and information about his recovery hasn't exactly been bountiful. Despite playing in roughly half the games of most of his teammates, Enstrom's 13 points are fifth on the team and his six power-play points are tops on the Jets.
Mar 12 - 1:16 PM

Tobias Enstrom (shoulder) has resumed skating.

Details about his progress and his potential return have been scarce though. Enstrom hasn't played since Feb. 15 due to a shoulder injury.
Mar 11 - 2:44 PM

The Jets have posted a 5-4 record since Tobias Enstrom exited the lineup due to a shoulder injury.

What is much more alarming is the fact that the team's power play has gone just 1-for-24 over that span. Enstrom still leads Winnipeg with six power-play points. His return to the lineup is unclear though, as he is listed as week-to-week.
Mar 4 - 9:17 AM

According to Winnipeg bench boss Claude Noel, Tobias Enstrom was feeling better on Wednesday.

He has missed the past six games and hasn't played since Feb. 15 because of a shoulder injury. Noel said Enstrom may resume skating soon, but the offensive defender is listed as week-to-week.
