Toby Enstrom, who is a pending unrestricted free agent, may have played in his last NHL season.
"Toby is a special player in this organization," said Winnipeg GM Kevin Cheveldayoff. "And regardless of how things move forward, whether he chooses play again and then whether there’s an opportunity to play here, that chapter of things is still to be written." Enstrom has played 11 seasons with the Jets/Atlanta Thrashers. He skated in 43 games during the 2017-18 campaign because of injuries and he contributed six points. Toby Enstrom (ankle) appears as though he will be good to go for Game 1 against Nashville.

Enstrom participated in a full practice on Tuesday alongside regular defense partner, Dustin Byfuglien. "He looks good," coach Paul Maurice said. "One of Toby's great strengths is his ability to touch the puck first in heavy traffic and move it well. He gets to it early and he can make that inside play, that short pass under pressure, which is their forecheck game. So we've missed him in those games." If Enstrom is back then Joe Morrow or Ben Chiarot will be scratched.
