James van Riemsdyk isn't bothered by the trade rumors.
"(Blocking it out) comes from experience. I remember going through that sort of thing right after I got drafted (second overall by the Flyers in 2007)," he said. "It tends to eat at you a little bit more (when you're younger), but now you realize it is completely out of your control and it does not really faze you as much." The speculation started because the Leafs reportedly want to make changes on the back end and they may have to give up a talented forward to do it. James van Riemsdyk's goal on Saturday was his 100th as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

van Riemsdyk is the 55th player to score at least 100 goals in a Leafs jersey. Over his career he has 147 goals and 297 points in 470 contests between his time with Toronto and Philadelphia. "That’s a pretty big honor," said van Riemsdyk of his 100th Leafs goal. "I have really enjoyed playing in Toronto and that (milestone) shows I’ve been playing here a few years now. Hopefully, I can play here a lot longer."

James van Riemsdyk tallied his 10th goal of the year in a 4-2 victory over Edmonton.

He has found the back of the net in each of his last two games. JVR co-leads the Leafs in scoring with 19 points in 22 matches.

James van Riemsdyk remained hot on Thursday with another multi-point effort.

He notched a goal and an assist in a 6-1 win over Florida following his four-point performance versus Nashville on Tuesday. Van Riemsdyk scored his eighth goal of the year after a brutal turnover by Dylan McIlrath and he picked up the lone assist on Mitch Marner's highlight-reel breakaway marker.

James van Riemsdyk scored three goals and an assist in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Nashville Predators.

What a way to snap his eight-game goalless drought. JVR scored a goal in each of the three periods and he picked up a primary assist on Mitch Marner's game-opening goal in the first frame. The 27-year-old has seven goals and eight assists in 16 games this season. Tyler Bozak had four assists tonight and Mitch Marner added a goal and two assists.

He tied the game at 2-2 in the second period and Tyler Bozak scored the game winner soon afterward. Van Riemsdyk has averaged four shots on goal during his scoring spree. He has four markers and one assist in seven games.

He has scored in each of his last two games. Van Riemsdyk has posted four points in six contests this season.

James van Riemsdyk is still working his way back from last season's foot injury.

According to Toronto coach Mike Babcock, JVR was playing the best hockey of his career wehn he want down last January. Unfortunately, Babcock feels JVR's skating is not all the way back to where it was prior to the injury. "Well, he's got some work to do for sure ... his skating isn't like it was", said Babcock. We expect that JVR will round into form. Until then, be patient. On a side note, JVR switched his number from 21 to 25 to accomodate the retirement of number 21 in honor of Maple Leaf great Borje Salming.

James van Riemsdyk has been added to Team U.S.A.'s World Cup roster.

He will be one of five Maple Leafs who will particiapte in the tournament. Leo Komarov (Finland), Nikita Zaitsev (Russia), Milan Michalek (Czech Republic), and Morgan Rielly (North America) will compete against JVR.

James van Riemsdyk has been put on Team USA's roster for the World Cup of Hockey.

Colorado's Erik Johnson, Washington's Matt Niskanen, Tampa Bay's Ryan Callahan, St. Louis' David Backes as well as Columbus' Brandon Dubinsky and Jack Johnson were placed on the roster too.

James van Riemsdyk (foot) is expected to be ready for training camp next fall.

He didn't play after he suffered a broken foot back on Jan. 9 against San Jose. Van Riemsdyk hasn't been seen much since he was injured and then he had a medical setback which sidelined him for the rest of the season. He recorded 14 goals and 29 points in 40 games prior to getting injured.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have confirmed that James van Riemsdyk (foot) will not return this season.

It was reported earlier that van Riemsdyk had suffered a setback in his attempt to return from the ailment. He's still expected to be healthy in time for the World Cup of Hockey.

James van Riemsdyk has experienced a setback in his attempt to return from a foot injury.

Van Riemsdyk will probably end up missing the rest of the 2015-16 campaign as a result. If that's the case, he'll finish with 14 goals and 29 points in 40 contests this season. The 2015-16 campaign is a lost cause for Toronto at this point anyways, so the Leafs have no reason to rush him back.

Coach Mike Babcock has hinted that James van Riemsdyk (foot) could be out longer than expected.

JVR's initial timetable was set for six-to-eight weeks after he suffered a broken foot 44 days ago. Van Riemsdyk hasn't played since Jan. 9 because of the ailment and before he got hurt he was leading the Leafs in scoring with 29 points in 40 games.

James van Riemsdyk (foot) has been moved to injured reserve.

The Leafs needed the roster spot to activate Nick Spaling. JVR was assessed with a non-displaced fracture in his left foot on Jan. 11 and his timetable was set at six-to-eight weeks, so he isn't close to returning yet.
