Fantasy owners have to be delighted to see Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracek ramp up his production, even in meaningless games such as Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the San Jose Sharks.

Voracek collected two assists on Saturday, giving him seven helpers in a four-game point streak. He now has 76 points in 2014-15, the second-highest total in the NHL.

Jakub Voracek got in the third fight of his NHL career Tuesday night.

He engaged in fisticuffs with Vancouver defenseman Dan Hamhuis in the second period and he held his own. "I got hooked," Voracek said. "I cross-checked him. It's an emotional game. It was a square fight - and we moved on right after." He sits fifth in the league with 69 points in 72 games, so obviously his fight didn't thrill his coaches.

"The goals are going to come," Voracek said. "Like today, I just closed my eyes and I shot it and it went in. Sometimes, that's the best way to do it." He amassed 58 points in his first 51 games, but he cooled off since then with 11 points in his last 20 matches.

Voracek ripped a snapper past Andrew Hammond off a Bobby Ryan turnover, tying the game at one not seven minutes after the Sens had taken the lead. Voracek also contributed five shots and a block in over 23 minutes of ice time. He now has 69 points, fourth in the NHL, and three behind leader John Tavares.

Jakub Voracek scored a goal in Saturday afternoon's 3-2 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins.

Every loss hurts, but the Flyers will have a hard time digesting this one. They had a lead late in the third period when they allowed Brad Marchand to tie the game with under 15 seconds remaining. Marchand also added the overtime winner for Boston. The Flyers entered the game four points behind Boston for the final playoff spot in the East. Voracek's second period goal now gives him 20 on the season. It was the 25-year-old's first goal in seven games. Chris VandeVelde also scored for the Flyers on Saturday.

Voracek now has 61 points through 58 games this season, just one point shy of his career high set last year. The blazing 25-year-old is trying to step out of a mini-slump in February where he has just two points in six games.

The entire Flyers top line of Voracek, Claude Giroux and Brayden Schenn has gone quiet lately. At this point Flyers coach Craig Berube has been tempted to separate Voracek and Giroux, which highlights just how bad the slump has gotten as they were arguably the league's top duo for most of the season. Every player goes through slumps and we expect Voracek to bounce back in the not too distant future.

Voracek picked up an assist on Friday to move into sole possession of second place in the scoring race but it was on the power play. "They're not working together very well," coach Craig Berube said. "To me, they have to work harder and play a simple game." Voracek has been a minus-three in his last two games and the Flyers continue to struggle with their first line not playing well.

Jakub Voracek has not scored a goal in his last nine games and has failed to get a shot on goal in his last two.

Voracek did have six assists in his previous five games before the last two games so he is still scoring but said that he was not feeling well physically in his last two games before starting to feel better in the third period Thursday.
