Jakub Voracek admitted that he had some confidence issues this past season.
Voracek tied for fourth in NHL scoring in 2014-15 but this past season was a different story as he had only one goal in his first 30 games on his way to an 11 goal, 55 point season. "It’s not like I’m crying here or something, but when things don’t go your way, sometimes you overthink things," Voracek said. "It’s kind of cliché to squeeze the stick too tight. But we are professionals, we get paid to make a difference in the game. I wouldn’t use it as an excuse, but with me, everything coming automatically — passes, shooting — I never did overthink things. This year, sometimes, before I passed the puck, I was thinking, ‘What if I hit something, what if the puck doesn’t make it there?’ Before I even passed it. I think I had a little confidence issue this year sometimes." Look for Voracek to get around 70 points next season. Apr 30 - 8:05 AM

Date:

Jakub Voracek has been bumped to the second line for Wednesday's game against Washington.

He will start Game 4 alongside Michael Raffl and Sam Gagner. Voracek didn't have a problem with the decision. "Something had to be done; we've scored two goals in three games," he said. Voracek has one goal in three contests in the series.
Apr 20 - 3:05 PM

Jakub Voracek scored the lone Flyers goal in their 4-1 loss in Game 2 against the Capitals on Saturday night.

Voracek had a strong game, aside from his fifth career playoff goal. He also finished as a 68% possession player. If the Flyers want to come back in this series, their top players, Voracek included, have to produce. Their depth isn’t good enough to compete with Washington’s. Voracek has 16 career playoff points in 24 games. Brayden Schenn and Shayne Gostisbehere got the assists.
Apr 16 - 10:10 PM

Jakub Voracek is slumping at the worst time of the season for the Flyers.

Voracek has been back only 11 games from a lower body injury and has only a goal and five points with a minus-four rating. He has 11 goals and 51 points this season but that is way off last season's career year of 81 points. He should rebound next year so don't forget about him in drafts.
Apr 9 - 9:32 AM

Jakub Voracek notched a goal in the Flyers’ 6-2 loss against the Penguins on Sunday evening.

Thus ends a 10-game stretch without a goal, though it’s not like Voraceck hasn’t been creating chances. He has 11 goals on 198 shots, so he’s scored at a 5.5% rate, compared to 9.5% in his career. Don’t discount him in drafts next season. Wayne Simmonds had the other goal, his 29th.
Apr 3 - 7:57 PM

Jakub Voracek is nearly 100 percent according to coach Dave Hakstol.

Voracek has been back for nine games and is rounding back into form after a foot injury cost him nine contests. He is back on the second line with Sean Couturier and Michael Raffl and that gives the Flyers a very good second line heading into the post-season, should they make it. Voracek has 10 goals and 50 points in 67 games, a far cry from last season's 81 point outburst but still not too shabby.
Apr 2 - 10:07 AM

Jakub Voracek saw second line duty on Thursday.

Voracek started the game on the third line with Nick Cousins and Matt Read but coach Dave Hakstol moved him up to play with Sean Couturier before the end of the game. He was on the first line before he missed nine games with a lower body injury and Hakstol thought the line of Brayden Schenn, Claude Giroux and Wayne Simmonds was functioning very well as a top unit. Voracek has 10 goals and 50 points in 63 games, a far cry from his 81 point performance last season.
Mar 26 - 9:06 AM

Jakub Voracek is in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The 26-year-old missed nine games because of a lower-body injury. He has 10 goals and 48 points in 60 games this season. The Flyers may opt to limit his ice time in his first game back.

If Jakub Voracek (foot) does return on Saturday, it will probably be alongside Matt Read and Nick Cousins.

There's some reluctance to alter the Flyers' top two lines while Philadelphia is in the middle of an impressive run. In order to make room for Voracek on the third unit, Scott Laughton would shift to the fourth line. Voracek isn't guaranteed to play on Saturday, but it seems likely.
Mar 19 - 5:22 AM

Jakub Voracek (foot) has been medically cleared to return to the Flyers' lineup, per GM Ron Hextall.

"I skated all week," Voracek said. "I skated in Chicago and was back skating with (Flyers assistant coach Gord) Murphy yesterday. I pushed it really hard. It felt pretty good. Now I just have to find a way to help the team win a game." Voracek still hasn't been confirmed for Saturday's game, but at this point it would be mildly surprising if he wasn't in the lineup. He last played on Feb. 25.
Mar 18 - 6:04 PM

Jakub Voracek (foot) was on the ice for about 40 minutes on Thursday.

Voracek has missed nine consecutive games, but he might be able to return as early as Saturday. "It’s been tough," Voracek said. "But the boys have made it easy on me. It’s much easier to watch when the team is winning and playing so good and playing such good offensive hockey." He should contribute to that when he's healthy as Voracek has 10 goals and 48 points in 60 contests this season.
Mar 18 - 11:17 AM

Jakub Voracek (foot) won't return Tuesday night against Detroit.

He got on the ice Monday for his first practice with the team since he suffered a left foot injury against Minnesota on Feb. 25. Voracek probably won't be back on Wednesday, as he wants to get in a couple more "hard Skates" before his return. It looks like Saturday's match against Pittsburgh could be a possibility for his first game back.
Mar 14 - 4:48 PM

Jakub Voracek is listed as questionable for the Flyers on Tuesday night when they take on the Detroit Red Wings.

Voracek has missed the previous seven games with a foot injury. In 60 contests this season, the 26 year-old has ten goals and 38 assists. When he returns, he will be a welcome addition to the Flyers lineup as they are battling for one of the two Wild Card spots in the Eastern Conference.
Mar 14 - 10:25 AM

Jakub Voracek will skate for the first time since suffering a lower-body injury in late February.

He's expected to hit the ice at the Flyers practice facility in Voorhees on Sunday. The 26-year-old has missed each of Philadelphia's last seven games. Flyers GM Ron Hextall said Voracek returning to the lineup on Tuesday was possible, but not probable.
Mar 13 - 10:52 AM

Flyers GM Ron Hextall is looking to have Jakub Voracek back in the lineup next Tuesday against Detroit.

If he is able to return by then, he will miss just two more games because of a lower-body injury. Voracek is second on Philadelphia in scoring with 48 points in 60 games.
