Jakub Voracek was one of four Flyers to notch a goal and an assist in Sunday's 5-3 win over Calgary.

Nov 28 - 12:16 AM

Jakub Voracek has not recorded a point in six straight games.

He has produced one goal in his last 11 outings. "I feel like I'm shooting everything I can," Voracek said. "I have six shots every game, but no bounces. Sometimes it goes and sometimes it doesn't. I had a couple of redirects in front of the net, a couple good shots, Giroux had a couple good shots, and we just need to stay with it. I think we are experienced guys, and we know it's going to turn around for us." He should be able to get back on track. Voracek has 17 points in 22 games this season.
Nov 26 - 9:51 AM

Jakub Voracek has been credited with his seventh goal of the season.

The marker originally belonged to Brandon Manning in Saturday's 3-2 win over Minnesota, but that has been changed. Manning and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare were credited with the assists on the play. Voracek notched a goal and an assist in the match.

Jakub Voracek picked up a pair of assists in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss to Detroit.

Voracek picked up the primary assists on Claude Giroux's power play goal in the first period and Sean Couturier's goal in the third frame. Voracek finished the game with a plus-1 rating and six shots on goal in 21:39 of ice time. The Flyers forward now has six goals and nine assists in 14 games this season.
Nov 8 - 10:48 PM

Jakub Voracek recorded two assists in a 5-4 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.

Voracek has six goals and 13 points in 13 contests this season. His strong start to the campaign is in stark contrast to 2015-16 when he had no goals and four assists in his first 13 contests. He did pick up the pace as the season went on, but his total of 55 points in 2015-16 was disappointing. This is shaping up to be a bounce back season so far.
Nov 6 - 9:57 AM

Jakub Voracek scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 4-3 OT win over the Detroit Red Wings.

The Red Wings were up 3-2 late in the third period when Mark Streit tied the game with 1:04 remaining. It took Voracek 1:41 to score in the extra frame. Claude Giroux picked up the only assist on the game-winner (you can watch the goal by clicking the link at the bottom of the page). Voracek now has six goals and five assists in 11 games in 2016-17. Chris VandeVelde and Roman Lyubimov also scored for the Flyers tonight. Philadelphia has now won 12 straight regular season home games over the Red Wings since 1997.

Nov 2 - 11:01 PM

Jakub Voracek scored the first goal of the night and a tying goal in the second, but it was not enough as the Philadelphia Flyers lost 5-4 to the Pittsburgh Penguins Saturday night.

Voracek is now five by five in regard to goals and assists for the season, giving him 10 points with 42 shots. His tying goal bunched up the points for 13 minutes at the end of the second and beginning of the third before Evgeni Malkin scored his second goal of the night for the game winner. Voracek and Malkin were joined by Sidney Crosby as players who scored twice in this contest.
Oct 30 - 12:45 AM

Jakub Voracek extended his scoring streak to four games with the Flyers' only goal in their 3-1 loss in Montreal on Monday night.

Talk about getting out of the gate hot, Voracek now has three goals and eight points in six games. This is exactly the man Philadelphia thought they were giving that huge contract to, and we'd expect his talent level to keep pumping out the points.
Oct 24 - 11:19 PM

Jakub Voracek scored once in the second and again in the third to assist in the 6-3 victory of the Philadelphia Flyers over the Carolina Hurricanes Saturday night

This lifted the Flyers to 2-2-1 while the Canes slipped to 1-2-2. Voracek’s goal at the 7:19 minute mark was his first of the season. It was also the centerpiece of a flurry of four unanswered goals in the second period—a period that started out with the Flyers overcoming a two-goal deficit. He scored the final goal of the night at the 17:33 minute mark. While these were his first two goals of 2016-17, Voracek has scored points in all but one of his five games this season with four previous assists. He also had an assist Saturday night.
Oct 22 - 11:51 PM

Jakub Voracek received 22 PIM at the tail end of the Philadelphia Flyers' 4-3 OT loss to the Arizona Coyotes.

It was slated to be a tough game for Voracek, who had a -2 rating and two SOG, but that massive end-game punishment could very well help swing several weekly head-to-head matchups. Voracek's career-high for PIMs was 78 in 2014-15, but he normally falls in the 30-40 range.
Oct 16 - 12:15 AM

Two goals by Jakub Voracek -- one in overtime -- sparked the Philadelphia Flyers to a 4-3 triumph over the visiting New York Rangers in exhibition play Monday night.

Voracek got his first exhibition goal of the preseason in the first period to give the Flyers a 2-0 lead and then scored the game winner 27 seconds in the overtime session. Jordan Weal and Travis Konecny had the other Philly goals. The Flyers were up 3-0 in the first until the Rangers tied the game with goals by Ryan Graves, Brandon Pirri and Jimmy Vesey. Pirri is having a first-rate preseason, with four goals so far. Steve Mason was the winning goalie, stopping 27 of the 30 shots he faced. Henrik Lundqvist recorded 17 saves on 18 shots for the Rangers and Mackenzie Skapski stopped 12 of 15 Philadelphia shots.
Oct 3 - 10:13 PM

Sep 19 - 5:52 PM

Flyers GM Ron Hextall is confident that Jakub Voracek will bounce back after a disappointing season.

"Typically after a guy signs a big contract there's more expected of him from himself," Hextall said. "As an organization, we signed a good hockey player and we didn't expect him to be any more than he was, [but] there's a certain burden that comes with that. … I'm sure there will be a lot of growth from Jake from last year." Voracek scored picked up 81 points in 2014-15, but managed just 14 goals and 55 points in last season. Expecting him to score 80 plus points may be a little too much, but a 65-point season isn't out of the question.
Aug 18 - 4:33 PM

Jakub Voracek admitted that he had some confidence issues this past season.

Voracek tied for fourth in NHL scoring in 2014-15 but this past season was a different story as he had only one goal in his first 30 games on his way to an 11 goal, 55 point season. "It’s not like I’m crying here or something, but when things don’t go your way, sometimes you overthink things," Voracek said. "It’s kind of cliché to squeeze the stick too tight. But we are professionals, we get paid to make a difference in the game. I wouldn’t use it as an excuse, but with me, everything coming automatically — passes, shooting — I never did overthink things. This year, sometimes, before I passed the puck, I was thinking, ‘What if I hit something, what if the puck doesn’t make it there?’ Before I even passed it. I think I had a little confidence issue this year sometimes." Look for Voracek to get around 70 points next season.
