Philadelphia Flyers owner Ed Snider said that he thinks Jakub Voracek "could be a superstar."

That might be a bit much, yet Voracek is a fantastic talent who just seems to be getting more confident. His shots-per-game have risen every single season, going up to an impressive 2.87 per contest (235 in 82 games played) last season. Voracek should be getting plenty of great looks to unleash his shot skating with genuine superstar Claude Giroux.

Jakub Voracek scored the game-winning goal in the second period of Friday's Game 4, lifting the Flyers to a 2-1 win over the Rangers and knotting up the series 2-2.

Voracek's second tally of the playoffs came on the power play midway through the game, with Brayden Schenn and Mark Streit drawing the assists. The goal allows the Flyers to fly back to New York with the series tied in advance of Sunday afternoon's Game 5. The Rangers had the upper hand in Game 4, outshooting the Flyers by a wide margin, but clutch scoring and goaltending allowed the Flyers to escape victorious.

With the goal, Voracek reaches the 20-goal plateau for the second straight year. After finding the back of the net just once in his first 16 games this season, the winger has tallied 19 times over his past 55. Matt Read also scored his 20th of the season in the losing effort.

He scored late in the third period to give the Flyers a 3-1 lead, which put the game out of reach. Jakub Voracek loved his time at the Olympics playing for the Czech Republic.

"It was a great experience," the 24-year-old Voracek said. "I think it was a great setup -- the village, Olympic Park. I really enjoyed it. It's too bad it was short like that. Unfortunately, we had to play a very hard team in the quarter-finals. But it's good to be back now. . You have to learn from every game, every shift that you play there. For some, it happens only once in a lifetime. It was another step in my hockey career. I'm just going to take it and hopefully use it in the future and especially in the season." Jakub Voracek's deflection on a Marek Zidlicky shot from the point turned out to be the winner as the Czech Republic downed Latvia 4-2 Friday.

Voracek's goal in the second stanza put the Czechs ahead for good at 3-2. Martin Erat opened the scoring as he scored for the first time this season with a goalie in the net. Voracek will play for the Czech Republic. "This is what every kid dreams of, and it's going to be very exciting," Voracek said. "Since I was a kid, I was watching the Olympics on TV, the best players in the world . . . so this is really something." Voracek has 15 goals and 25 assists after picking up an assist on Saturday.
