Jakub Voracek tied the NHL record for most points in an All-Star Game with six.
Voracek had three goals and three assists in the event, matching Mario Lemieux's showing in 1988. Columbus was the host city for the All-Star Game, so this was a homecoming of sorts for Voracek. He was drafted by the Blue Jackets in 2007, but traded by them in 2011 as part of the Jeff Carter deal. Voracek broke out with his new team, Philadelphia, and has a league-leading 56 points this season. Jan 26 - 9:57 AM

Philadelphia's Jakub Voracek registered a pair of assists in Tuesday's 5-2 win over Minnesota and extended his leads in the NHL's scoring race.

Voracek has now recorded 46 points on the year, which puts him four clear of Tyler Sequin, who was shut out by the Maple Leafs on this night. It's hard to imagine he'll be able to keep up his current pace, but he has likely already delivered enough production for his fantasy owners to turn a profit. Sean Couturier, Claude Giroux, Wayne Simmonds, Vincent Lecavalier and Michael Raffl were the goal scorers for Philadelphia in the victory.

Jakub Voracek scored once in regulation and again in the shootout, but it was not enough to earn the Flyers a victory on Thursday night as they fell 2-1 to the Panthers.

Jaromir Jagr isn't surprised by the fact that Jakub Voracek is in the race for the scoring title.

"He always had the talent," Jagr said. Voracek and Jagr were both born in Kladno, Czech Republic and played together in Philadelphia in 2011-12. Voracek feels that Jagr had a strong influence on him during their time as teammates, but Jagr doesn't want to take credit for his success. "I think what helped Jake a lot, in my opinion, he got into better shape than he was before," Jagr said. "I don't think he changed as a player. Maybe he's got more confidence, but he changed the body. He is in better shape."

Jakub Voracek scored a goal and an assist in Saturday's loss to the New York Rangers.

Voracek continues to stay hot this season. The 25-year-old has nine goals and 32 points in 23 games this season. Voracek now trails only Sidney Crosby (33 points) for the scoring lead in the NHL. Not many people expected Voracek to be this good this year, but he is showing no signs of slowing down. Even with Voracek's production, the Flyers have still lost eight of their last nine games.

Jakub Voracek had two assists on Friday and now leads the NHL with 26 points.

He is one better than the Penguins Sidney Crosby and has seven goals and 19 assists in only 16 games. Voracek is on pace for a 133 point season but he will not be able to keep up this pace and an 80-90 point season is far likelier if he can remain healthy. His best season ever was 62 points last season and it appears that he is going to smash that mark.

Jakub Voracek scored a goal and added an assist in Philadelphia's 4-3 loss to Columbus on Friday.

Voracek did some damage against his former team, but the Flyers couldn't grind out the win. The power play marker was his seventh of the season. The 25-year-old has been phenomenal this season. Voracek now has 22 points in 14 games this season, and is currently on pace to surpass the 100-point mark for the first time in his career. He probably won't reach that total, but he is still a strong fantasy play.
