The Sharks are struggling but Couture sure isn't with 15 goals and 36 points in 42 games. He has been especially hot lately with seven points in his past five games.

Logan Couture scored a beauty of a snapper for his 13th goal of the season in San Jose's 4-3 win over Edmonton on Thursday night.

After Barclay Goodrow drew four, yes four, Oilers to him at the offensive blue line, Goodrow sprung Couture into the zone where he released a deceptive cross-ice snapshot below the dot. Scrivens barely moved. Couture now shares the team lead in points with 28 with Joe Thornton.

Couture scored in the second period and assisted on Patrick Marleau’s game-winner in the third period. The 25-year-old is again putting together a fine season, with 11 goals and 24 points in 28 games. His 92 shots are 10th in the league as well. Justin Braun also picked up a goal and a helper, with two penalty minutes. Tommy Wingels assisted two times.

Logan Couture (head) is feeling better Wednesday, but he remains questionable for Thursday's contest.

"There's still protocol that we need to adhere to," Sharks coach Todd McLellan said. "He'll get through the day. We'll see how he is in the morning. I can't even venture to guess which way it will go. We obviously want him in and we know he wants to play, but we have to make sure that he is in a good state and feels good." Couture sustained the injury in the third period of Tuesday's game. He has 10 goals and 22 points in 26 contests in 2014-15.

Logan Couture was forced to leave Tuesday's game versus Philadelphia early in the third period and did not return.

Couture left early in the third period after colliding with Flyers' forward Michael Raffl. After the game, Sharks' head coach Todd McLellan said Couture "looked OK" but will be reevaluated later. Any time missed for Couture would be a big time loss for a fragile Sharks team that is just starting to put together a few wins. We will call him day-to-day.

Logan Couture fired a team high six shots on goal but was unable to find the back of the net like all his teammates in the Sharks' 1-0 loss to Calgary on Wednesday.

The Sharks couldn't find a way to solve Flames' goalie Karri Ramo despite out-shooting the Flames 32-19. The Sharks have really struggled to score of late and has averaged less than two goals a game over their last nine games now. It's highly unlikely this continues though as the team is getting chances and the hockey gods will eventually turn the other cheek.

Logan Couture capped off a brilliant series of passes by the Sharks midway through the game, but it wasn't enough to secure victory over Vancouver.

San Jose lost 3-2 but it wasn't due to a lack of effort. They out-shot the Canucks 36-19, including 14-7 in the third. However the Canucks outscored the Sharks 2-1 in the third. Anyway, off a brilliant back-door feed from Joe Pavelski, Couture scored his team leading seventh goal of the season and tied Brent Burns for team lead in points with 13.

This was hand-eye coordination at its finest. Justin Braun intentionally wristed the puck wide of the net and Couture deflected it in, for what’s considered the game-winner. The 25-year-old has six goals and 12 points on the season. Playing on the fourth line, Tomas Hertl also scored, in 9:30 of ice time. James Sheppard potted the final marker.

Logan Couture netted his fifth goal of the season in the Sharks' 3-2 shootout win over the Avalanche on Tuesday.

Couture scored a goal and tallied six shots on goal in a game where the Sharks put a whopping 51 shots on the Colorado net. Tommy Wingels and Justin Braun picked up helpers on the Couture goal. Brent Burns had the other tally for the Sharks who got shootout goals from Patrick Marleau and Joe Pavelski. Logan Couture now has 11 points in 11 games after a slow start and is a strong candidate to get nearly a point-per game this season if he stays healthy.
