Logan Couture scored his second goal of the season in Monday 4-3 shootout loss to Ottawa.

Logan Couture scored his first goal of the season in the Sharks 5-4 win over the Flames on Monday.

Couture now has one goal to go along with four assists, for a total of five points in ten games played. Couture is definitely worth picking up if he is available in your league.

Logan Couture had two assists in his return from a leg injury on Wednesday.

Couture has been limited to just six games so far this season. "It feels good when you win," he said after the 4-2 win over Philadelphia. "I could have went pointless and still been very happy. We needed that. That was a big win for this team at this rink in front of a great crowd. [We] need to build on this. It feels good to come back and win a game." Those who have been patiently holding onto Couture should finally start to get rewarded.

Logan Couture (leg) will get back into the lineup on Wednesday night.

He took part in the morning skate on his regular line between Patrick Marleau and Joel Ward. Couture has been limited to just five games this season because of injuries and he hasn't played since Dec. 9, but he has the talent to be a difference maker right away for the Sharks.

Logan Couture was able to practice with his Sharks' teammates for 10 minutes on Sunday.

That's the good news. The bad news is that Couture still needs to strengthen his right thigh after recovering from a fractured right fibula and there is no timetable for his return to action. Stay tuned for more updates on Couture's status.

Logan Couture will miss at least the next five games as he will not accompany the Sharks on their five game road trip.

The news puts Couture out of the line-up until at least Christmas with a right leg injury. The injury, sustained on Thursday in a game against Edmonton, was not related to his previous ankle injury. Couture has had some incredibly bad luck this year, appearing in just five games this season and recording two assists. Adjust your line-ups accordingly.

Logan Couture's lower-body injury is a right leg issue that isn't related to his previous ankle injury.

"In Wednesday night’s game in Edmonton, Logan suffered trauma to his right thigh, creating a Charley-horse effect which prohibited him from returning to the game," Sharks GM Doug Wilson said. "Upon returning to San Jose, it was discovered that there was a small arterial bleed in the area. Last night, Logan underwent a successful procedure in San Jose to close the artery and is expected to make a full recovery." There is no timetable for his return, but this isn't expected to be a long-term injury. Couture was playing in just his second game after returning from an ankle injury that cost him nearly two months.

Logan Couture left midway through the second period in a loss to Edmonton Wednesday.

Tough news for the Sharks and the Couture fantasy owners as he was playing just his second game since returning from a fractured fibula. There wasn't much of an update other than it was a lower-body injury so owners and the Sharks can only hope for the best.

Logan Couture had an assist in San Jose's 4-2 loss to Calgary on Tuesday.

Couture was making his return from a fractured fibula. He was limited to 12:38 minutes of ice time, which isn't surprising because coach Pete DeBoer warned prior to the game that he would ease him into the lineup.
Wed, Dec 9, 2015 11:35:00 AM

Coach Pete DeBoer plans to monitor Logan Couture's ice time in his return to action Tuesday night.

"We're definitely not going to throw him in to 19 or 20 minutes a night and use him in every situation like he typically would get used," DeBoer said. "But my conversations with him have been, he has to dictate that. I'm assuming when he got a clean bill here that he's ready to go. I've got a few restrictions in mind, but it's going to be up to him to let me know how he's feeling." Couture hasn't played since Oct. 13 so there is bound to be some rust, but it won't take long before he making an impact.

Logan Couture will get back in the lineup Tuesday after missing 23 games with a fractured fibula.

He posted one assist in three games before getting injured. Couture is projected to play with Patrick Marleau and Joel Ward on the Sharks' second line. Get him back in your lineup.

Logan Couture (fractured fibula) has been activated off of the injured reserve list, but he's still questionable for Tuesday's game.

Couture thinks he's ready to return, but Sharks coach Pete DeBoer was noncommittal. "I haven’t made that decision yet. He’s off IR because he’s available to us," DeBoer said after practice. "We’re in a back-to-back situation. I want to see how he feels after today and talk to him tomorrow morning. There’s a lot of factors that go into that. The good news is that he is available to us, and then we’ll decide where and when he’s going to play." If Couture does play, it will likely be on a line with Patrick Marleau and Joel Ward.

Logan Couture (fractured fibula) skated with Patrick Marleau and Joel Ward during Monday's practice.

Getting back with his regular linemates could be an indication that Couture is close to returning to the lineup. He has missed the last 23 games with a fractured right fibula at the ankle, but has a chance of playing as early as Tuesday's game versus Calgary.

Logan Couture (fractured fibula) isn't expected to play this weekend.

He participated in San Jose's practice on Wednesday, but still isn't quite ready to return from a fractured fibula.
