Ian Cole, Matt Lindstrom, and Martin Brodeur will all be scratched against the Sharks on Thursday night.

Cole and Lindstrom have no fantasy value, and depending upon how deep your league is, or how much of a gambler you are, Brodeur's fantasy value may be fading real fast.

Ian Cole has been a healthy scratch four of St. Louis' past six games.

"It's no fun," said Cole. "But I'm just trying to go out and help the team when I get the opportunity, go out and win games, and not get scored on when I'm on the ice. That's the only thing that I'm thinking going forward." Cole got back into the lineup on Saturday after Petteri Lindbohm was returned to the minors. In 29 games this season, Cole has three goals, five points, 21 penalty minutes and a plus-9 rating.

Ian Cole and Magnus Paajarvi will be healthy scraches on Tuesday night against the Kings.

Cole may be a solid professional, and Paajarvi a talented one, neither have contributed much to make them viable fantasy options. Paajarvi especially has played just nine games this season.

Ian Cole will be looking to prove that he can be a regular in the Blues' top-six defense group this season.

St. Louis already has firm pairings among their top four, but he has a shot at earning a spot. "This is a real opportunity for Ian," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "He's paid his dues. He spent time in the minors. He's spent time as the seventh defenseman. He's matured as a person and as a player. It's his time." Cole will have to wrestle the sixth position from Jordan Leopold and Chris Butler at training camp. He played 46 games last season, where he recorded 11 points, 68 blocks and a plus-15 rating. "There’s an open spot, a regular shift. There’s everything there waiting for him, just step up and grab it."
