Date:

Riley Nash, who is sick, will join Chris Terry and Michal Jordan as scratches from Friday's match with the Rangers.

Unfortunately there isn't a lick of potential fantasy value between any of these three players, whom, to one degree or another, are allergic to accumulating meaningful counting stats.

Riley Nash will be scratched against Florida on Friday night.

Despite recording an assist on Dec. 8th, Nash will now have been scratched in four straight games. With just four points and 16 hits in 21 games this season, it's easy to understand why.

Riley Nash appears to be a healthy scratch Friday night against the Ducks.

Chris Terry will draw back into the lineup in place of Riley Nash. Nash has four points in 21 games and has no fantasy upside.

Riley Nash and Michal Jordan will be scratched from Tuesday's match with Dallas.

Unfortunately neither have much of any fantasy value to speak of. Nash has three points in 20 games thus far, while Jordan has none in 10.

Riley Nash will be a healthy scratch for Saturday's match with Montreal.

Nash was expected to provide quality scoring depth for the Hurricanes this season, but has gone pointless since Halloween which is a span of 14 games. He has just three points in 20 games overall.

Riley Nash has gone 12 straight games without recording a point.

Nash has a goal and two assists in 18 contests in 2015-16. He's likely to finish the season with 20-30 points if he can stay healthy, which is in line with what he did in each of his last two campaigns.

Riley Nash had an assist in Carolina's 3-1 win against the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday.

Nash has two points in four games this season. His lack of playing time thus far can be attributed to a shoulder injury that cost him about two weeks.

Riley Nash (shoulder) returned to action on Saturday.

Nash missed two weeks with the injury which was a perfect call since the diagnosis was 10-14 days when the incident occurred against the Red Wings. Nash picked up his first goal of the season against San Jose but it was too little, too late, as the Hurricanes dropped a 5-2 decision to the Sharks. Nash had 25 points last season including eight goals and that seems to be a good place to put his stats again in 2015-16.

Riley Nash will be sidelined for 10-14 days due to a shoulder injury.

He logged just 1:54 of ice time on five shifts against Detroit on Saturday before exiting the game. Nash had eight goals and 25 points in 68 games last season.

Riley Nash has left the Hurricanes game against the Red Wings.

Nash suffered an upper-body injury and the Hurricanes have announced that he will not return. Nash isn't a recommended player for fantasy purposes.

Nash will get $1.15 million next season. He had eight goals and 25 points in 68 games.

Carolina did not send a qualifying offer to Riley Nash, so he can become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday afternoon.

He produced eight goals and 25 points in 68 games with the Hurricanes last year. Nash had a great start to the campaign with 15 points in his first 23 contests, but it was never believed to be sustainable. GM Ron Francis hasn't closed the door completely on bringing Nash back, though.

Riley Nash will miss his second consecutive game on Tuesday versus Washington with the concussion he suffered during warm-ups on Sunday against Boston.

No word yet on the severity of the concussion, nor the expected amount of time he may be sidelined for. But that has more to do with the nature of concussions than anything else. Through 68 games this season, Nash has accumulated eight goals, 25 points, 88 hits, and winning 51% of his 1,058 faceoffs.

Riley Nash might end missing more playing time after taking a puck to the head during the pregame warm-ups on Sunday.

Hurricanes coach Bill Peters didn't have an update on Nash's condition after the contest, but he did say that it "doesn't sound good." Read into that as you will, but it certainly makes it seem like there's cause for concern. Nash has eight goals and 25 points in 68 contests in 2014-15.
