Anton Khudobin continued his recent hot streak by stopping 28 of 30 shots in a 4-2 defeat of Tampa Bay.

Khudobin's recent stretch has included wins in six of his last seven appearances and a run of eight straight games with two or fewer goals against. The Hurricanes haven't forgotten about de facto starter Cam Ward, but Khudobin's playing should be steady as long as he remains productive. His record is 6-8-2 while his GAA is 2.30 and his save percentage is .918.
Jan 28 - 12:12 AM

Anton Khudobin will play between the pipes on Tuesday.

Khudobin was solid going into the break, allowing two or fewer goals in each of his last six starts. He has a 2.32 GAA and .916 save percentage in 16 contests in 2014-15.
Jan 27 - 5:05 PM

Goaltender Anton Khudobin, in his third start in four games, turned in a solid effort Monday night, steering aside 34 shots in the Carolina Hurricanes' 4-1 rout over the Maple Leafs in Toronto.

Khudobin may be on the verge of supplanting Cam Ward as the Canes' No. 1 goalie. He was Carolina's starting goalie when the season began but the team struggled early and Ward was given the starting duties. Khudobin has been impressive again lately, though. He's sporting a goals-against average now of 2.32 and a save percentage of .916 in 16 games this season. His record has improved to 5-8-2.
Jan 19 - 10:56 PM

Anton Khudobin will play against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday.

Khudobin will make his third start in four games. Cam Ward has gotten the bulk of Carolina's starts this season, but Khudobin might be able to force his way back into the battle for the number one gig. He has a 2.41 GAA and .912 save percentage in 15 games this season.
Jan 19 - 1:07 PM

Anton Khudobin won his fourth straight game on Saturday.

Khudobin started the season off winless in his first 10 games with the Hurricanes who inked him to a two year/$4.5 million contract in the off-season. But after the 0-8-2 start, Khudobin has won the last four and is showing the form he had last season for the Hurricanes when he was 19-14-1 with a 2.30 GAA and a .926 save percentage. He is now worth looking at in very deep pools.
Jan 18 - 6:30 AM

Anton Khudobin set away 30 shots in the Hurricanes’ 3-2 win over the Senators on Saturday night.

It was not an easy start to the year for Khudobin but he’s now showing why he was a darkhorse fantasy factor entering this season. He has a 2.41 goals-against average and .912 save percentage this season, and he hasn’t posted lower than a .933 save percentage in the last six games.
Jan 17 - 10:35 PM

Anton Khudobin will get the start in goal for Carolina on Saturday.

Ward got the start last night but was pulled after two periods and Khudobin came on to stop all four shots in the third. Khudobin is 3-8-2 this season but his peripherals aren't bad as he has a 2.44 GAA and a .909 save percentage. The Hurricanes take on the Ottawa Senators so put Khudobin in your fantasy lineup if you normally would.
Jan 17 - 9:55 AM

Anton Khudobin backstopped the Hurricanes to a 3-2 shootout win over Colorado Tuesday night.

Khudobin had watched the last three games from the bench while Cam Ward tended goal, but stopped 28 of 30 shots in this opportunity to extend his personal win streak to three games. His 3-8-2 record is complemented by a 2.50 GAA and a .908 save percentage. Look for him to continue serving as a nuisance to Ward's fantasy owners.
Jan 13 - 10:52 PM

Anton Khudobin will start for the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.

Khudobin has a 2.55 GAA and .906 save percentage in 12 starts this season. Although he was in a position to compete for the starting gig when the season began, he's been relegated to the backup duties by Cam Ward.
Jan 13 - 2:39 PM

Anton Khudobin made 19 saves in Sunday's 2-1 shootout win over Boston.

Khudobin was perfect in the shootout as well. The 28-year-old got the better of his former team today. His record improves to 2-8-2 this season. He has a 2.55 goals-against-average and a .906 save percentage and he has now won two consecutive starts. Khudobin was named the game's first star.
Jan 4 - 4:16 PM

Anton Khudobin will get the start in Sunday's game against Boston.

The game between the Hurricanes and the Bruins will start at 1:00 PM EST so adjust your fantasy lineups accordingly. Khudobin has a 1-8-2 record with a 2.71 goals-against-average and a .903 save percentage. The 28-year-old was a backup goaltender for the Bruins prior to joining Carolina last season.
Jan 4 - 11:23 AM

Anton Khudobin allowed just one goal on 19 shots in a 2-1 shootout win over the Devils.

Khudobin has failed to replicate the massive successes he experienced in the past two seasons, but much of that can likely be attributed to the widespread struggles of the Hurricanes. Amazingly, the win is his first of the year in 11 starts and his record now stands at 1-8-2. His GAA is 2.71 while his save percentage is .903.

Anton Khudobin will make his second straight start on Tuesday when the Hurricanes play at New Jersey.

He made 30 saves in a 1-0 loss to the New York Rangers on Sunday night. "He played real well in New York, and we're going to go right back to him," coach Bill Peters said. "We haven't scored a lot of goals when he's been in net, and we haven't scored a lot of goals in general, either. He deserves the opportunity to play again tonight."
Tue, Dec 23, 2014 04:30:00 PM

Anton Khudobin allowed one goal on 31 shots but it wasn't enough, as the Hurricanes fell 1-0 to the New York Rangers.

Ryan McDonagh was the only player to score a goal in tonight's game. With December quickly coming to an end, Anton Khudobin is still searching for his first win. His record falls to 0-8-2 this season with a 2.91 goals-against-average and a .900 save percentage.
