Date:

Artem Anisimov (concussion) skated Wednesday in Columbus, but he's doubtful to play Saturday.

It appears to be unlikely that he'll play before the end of the regular season, but could return during the playoffs if the Blue Jackets can climb their way back into the top eight of the Western Conference.
Apr 25 - 5:26 PM

Artem Anisimov (concussion) will not play Thursday night.

Anisimov hasn't played since being struck in the head April 13. The Blue Jackets are holding out hope he'll return before the end of the season but that's starting to look doubtful. Keep him sidelined for now and we'll update you as we know more.
Apr 23 - 1:38 PM

Artem Anisimov (concussion) missed his fourth straight game on Sunday.

The Blue Jackets are still hopeful that Anisimov will return before the end of the season but with only two games left, things are getting tight. He wasn't on the ice Saturday and that may have caused some concern. "I don't know if there has been a step back," coach Todd Richards said. "I don't know if there has been a step forward, either. It's status quo." Stay tuned.
Apr 22 - 7:55 AM

Artem Anisimov (concussion) wasn't on the ice Saturday.

Anisimov should be regarded as very doubtful for Sunday's contest. He has 11 goals and 18 points in 34 games this season.
Apr 20 - 5:48 PM

Artem Anisimov (concussion) took to the ice Thursday.

He won't play Thursday night but coach Todd Richards is hoping that Anisimov could return as early as Sunday's game versus San Jose. Anisimov sustained a concussion last Saturday on his first shift against Minnesota.
Apr 18 - 5:38 PM

Artem Anisimov has a concussion and won't play Wednesday or Thursday but isn't being ruled out beyond that.

Anisimov is traveling with the Blue Jackets but remains without any defined return timetable. The concussion diagnosis confirms what we originally suspected and throws his return into serious question due to the nature of those injuries. We'll just have to wait and see how he recovers.
Apr 16 - 6:08 PM

Artem Anisimov is out indefinitely with a head injury.

Anisimov suffered the injury when he was struck on Saturday by Charlie Coyle who will not receive any discipline from the NHL as it was deemed that Coyle did not target Anisimov's head. There is obvious concern that Anisimov has suffered a concussion but we will have to wait on that. Look elsewhere for a center as there are only two weeks left in the NHL schedule and it appears unlikely that Anisimov will return.
Apr 15 - 8:19 AM

Artem Anisimov left Saturday's game after being struck in the head by Minnesota's Charlie Coyle.

Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards said Anisimov "is going to be on the shelf for a little bit now." The obvious concern is that Anisimov might have suffered a concussion, but we'll have to wait and see. Consider him day-to-day for now.
Apr 14 - 9:20 AM

Artem Anisimov scored in Columbus' 3-1 loss to the Blues on Friday night.

Anisimov, who now has 10 goals and six assists, is a tough one to figure out. He certainly has the ability to be a very productive NHL player, but in his fourth season, he's yet to really put it all together and remains very inconsistent. He's only 24 years old, though, so time is still on his side. Vaclav Prospal and Marian Gaborik had the assists.
Apr 5 - 10:58 PM

Artem Anisimov had a goal and two assists in Columbus' loss Thursday.

Anisimov now has three goals and five points in his last four games. His first season with the Blue Jackets has been a bit of a mixed bag, but that's partially due to injuries. He's averaging a career-high 16:39 minutes per contest this season and isn't a bad pickup while he's hot.
Mar 29 - 8:51 AM

Artem Anisimov returned to action Thursday night against the Blackhawks.

He seems to have recovered from a lower body injury as he was on the ice for 17:00 in the 2-1 shootout loss to the Hawks including some ice time on the Jackets' second power play. If you need Anisimov, he seems safe to activate.
Mar 15 - 2:48 AM

Artem Anisimov (lower body) took part in Wednesday's skate.

Anisimov's status for Thursday's game is still unknown. He has missed three straight contests due to the ailment.
Mar 13 - 3:59 PM

Artem Anisimov will miss Sunday's game against the Red Wings as he deals with a lower body injury.

Anisimov was injured in Thursday's win over the Canucks and missed Saturday's game against Detroit. Coach Todd Richards has already ruled the center out of Sunday's rematch with the Wings, but his status going forward remains up in the air.
Mar 10 - 10:59 AM

Artem Anisimov has been playing well since returning from a frightening injury.

He has goals in back-to-back games after missing three contests. Sunday's was important, too, as he scored the overtime winner to give the Blue Jackets a 2-1 OT win over the Colorado Avalanche. Perhaps that scary incident gave him a new perspective, as he's really played well in these two games.
