The 22nd marker of the year for the Russian forward was an unassisted tally and put the Blue Jackets ahead by two goals at the time, a margin they would never relinquish. Nathan Horton and Mark Letestu also scored goal for Columbus in the victory.

Artem Anisimov was the lone goal scorer in the Blue Jackets' 1-0 triumph over the Predators on Saturday night.

The Columbus center got the game-winner at 13:35 of the third period, with assists from James Wisniewski and Corey Tropp. Anisimov now has goals in five of his last six games, with six in that span. His 19th of the year became his career-high as well, though he still only has 33 points. The offensive make-up is certainly there, though it tends to come in spurts with the 25-year-old.

"By 3 p.m. today, I know I will be so tired, but I won't let myself go to sleep that early," Anisimov said. "No pillows, no sofas, and no TV around me. Just drink some coffee, keep moving, get some work done . . . but stay awake until bedtime." Anisimov has 13 goals and 26 points in 58 games this season so we really cannot recommend him at this time.

Anisimov is a solid defensive center who puts up decent offensive numbers, though his offensive production has yet to match his skill set. He has 12 goals and 20 points this season. Mark Letestu recorded the other goal. Brandon Dubinsky, Ryan Murray, Blake Comeau and Curtis McElhinney had the assists.
