Jonathan Ericsson had a bruised face following Monday's 5-1 win over Ottawa.

Jonathan Ericsson has been dealing with a hip issue for years, but hopes to avoid surgery on it until his career is over.

"It’s going to have its ups and down, and it’s been the biggest issue for me the last few years," Ericsson said. "But the rehab is at least four months, so it’s nothing I want to do in the first place." Ericsson also battles arthritis in that area. He had 15 points and 56 penalty minutes in 71 games last season.
