"It's been a tough journey when you've spent most of your career in the minors," Angelidis said. "It's a dream that you always want to play in the NHL. It definitely hasn't been easy. Every day I just try to get a little bit better and try to get a chance." The 30-year-old forward has appeared in 12 games with the Lightning, including two this year, and he scored his second career goal against Ottawa on Sunday.

Mike Angelidis has re-signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning on a one-year, two-way contract.

The 30-year-old winger just came off a one-year, $650K deal in which he played just three games with Tampa. Angelidis also tied his AHL career highs across the board with 20 goals and 38 points along with 138 PIMs for Syracuse. His finances haven't been released yet, but he's had a steady incline in AHL salary in recent contracts which was up to $250K in 2014-15.

Mike Angelidis was returned to the minors Thursday night, as Ondrej Palat appears to be returning on Friday.

Palat fully took part in Thursday's practice. Angelidis has skated in the last three games for the Lightning on emergency recall. An announcement from the team is expected to come Friday.

Mike Angelidis has signed another one-year, two-way contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

He picked up 12 goals, 33 points and 161 penalty minutes in 75 games with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch last season. Angelidis will probably play the majority of 2014-15 in the minors as well.
