Jonas Hiller made 23 saves on 25 shots in Sunday's 4-2, game three win over Vancouver.
The Flames opened the scoring at the 6:35 mark of the first period and they never trailed after that. The Flames now hold a 2-1 lead in the series with game four being played in Calgary on Tuesday night. Hiller has been one of the bright spots for the Flames in this series. The 33-year-old has allowed just six goals in the first three games against Vancouver. Don't be surprised if this turns out to be a long and grueling series. Apr 20 - 1:01 AM

Despite a tough go in a Game 2 loss against the Vancouver Canucks, Jonas Hiller's getting the nod for the Calgary Flames in Game 3.

Hiller allowed three goals on 29 shots before leaving Game 2 with about six minutes left. One would assume that Hiller's leash is pretty short with Karri Ramo looming.
Apr 18 - 5:35 PM

Jonas Hiller made 26 saves during Friday's 4-1 loss to Vancouver, tying the series at one.

The fourth goal was an empty-netter. Hiller was good, but wasn't helped out sufficiently by his defense who allowed three quality shots from high-scoring areas through Hiller. He was later pulled with five minutes to go still down 3-0 in favor of Karri Ramo, presumably to help get him a head start on focusing on Sunday's Game Three.
Apr 18 - 3:01 AM

Jonas Hiller will get the start in Game Two against the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night.

Hiller was solid in Wednesday's 2-1 Game One victory over the Canucks, making 29 saves. He owns a career 11-6-4 record in 22 games versus Vancouver with a .905 save percentage and a 2.96 GAA.
Apr 17 - 5:51 PM

Jonas Hiller made 30 saves in Calgary's 2-1 series opening win over Vancouver on Wednesday night.

Hiller allowed the first goal of the game on a weird deflection in front of his crease but after that he was lights out. He made some crucial saves down stretch of the game to keep the game tied at 1-1 and definitely deserved the first star of the game. The 33 year-old improves his playoff record to 13-12-3 with a splendid 2.11 GAA.
Apr 16 - 1:08 AM

Jonas Hiller will in fact start in goal for Game 1 Wednesday night against the Vancouver Canucks.

Updating an earlier report, Hiller will be the starting netminder for Game 1 Wednesday. Hiller comes into Wednesday’s contest on a hot streak having won five of his past six games. He has played in 26 career playoff games, posting a 12-12-3 record with a splendid 2.29 goals-against-average and .932 save percentage.
Apr 15 - 6:41 PM

Jonas Hiller is projected to be between the pipes against Vancouver on Wednesday in Game 1 of Calgary's first-round playoff series.

Karri Ramo was the first goalie off the ice, but Hiller is still viewed as the likely starter. Hiller wrapped up the regular season with five wins in six outings and he allowed just three goals in three straight victories going into the playoffs. However, he posted a 0-1-1 record versus the Canucks in 2014-15.
Apr 15 - 3:07 PM

Jonas Hiller made 33 saves en route to the Flames' 3-1 playoff-clinching win over the Kings on Thursday night.

This is the Flames' first playoff appearance since the 2008-09 season. Hiller for his part was simply sensational, making 23 of his saves in the final two periods of play. The win brings his record up to 26-19-4 with a .918 save percentage and a 2.36 GAA.
Apr 10 - 12:46 AM

Jonas Hiller will get the start in Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Kings.

This is a huge clash for both sides, as the Kings trail the Flames by just two points for third place in the Pacific Division. Both Wild Card spots will probably be occupied by teams in the Central Division, so it looks like only one of these two teams will be able to make the post-season. Hiller has a 25-19-4 record with a 2.39 goals-against-average and a .917 save percentage in 51 games this season. The 33-year-old has won four of his last five starts.
Apr 9 - 6:12 PM

Jonas Hiller turned aside 22-of-24 shots in Calgary's 3-2 win over Arizona.

It wasn't always pretty as he coughed up the puck while out of his net that directly led to a game tying goal at the time. He made some saves late though and helped his team pull out the crucial win. The win was his fourth in five games and with Karri Ramo sidelined, he is the man for the rest of the year. He has solid numbers this year with a 2.39 GAA and .917 save percentage to go with 25 wins in 51 games.
Apr 8 - 12:11 AM

Jonas Hiller is expected to start on Tuesday.

With Karri Ramo (lower body) hurt and less than a week left in the regular season, Hiller could play in all of Calgary's remaining games. "I don't think it changes a whole lot," Hiller said. "Sure, it's gonna be pressure because we have to win our fair share in the last three games to make playoffs, but at the same time, it's not like I haven’t played for months. I feel pretty comfortable with my game right now. I'm not too worried about it and I'm looking forward to (Tuesday's) game." He has a 2.40 GAA and .917 save percentage in 50 contests in 2014-15.

Apr 7 - 9:10 AM

Jonas Hiller made 27 saves in the Flames’ 4-0 win over the Oilers on Saturday night.

This one isn’t considered a shutout, though it really should be considering Hiller entered 59 seconds into the game after Karri Ramo got injured, and Ramo didn't need to stop a single shot. Hiller has a 2.40 goals-against average and .917 save percentage this season. Calgary will have no choice but to lean on him even more if Ramo’s injury is serious. The Flames hold the third spot in the Pacific division.
Apr 5 - 12:54 AM

Jonas Hiller made 39 saves on 42 shots as the Flames fell 4-1 to St. Louis on Thursday night.

Hiller played a solid game, but the Flames had trouble getting through the Blues defense and creating quality scoring chances. As a result, his record falls to 23-19-4 with a .915 save percentage and 2.45 goals against average this season.
Apr 3 - 1:06 AM

Jonas Hiller will get the start against the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night.

The 33-year-old has won back-to-back starts coming into this game. He has a 23-18-4 record with a 2.44 goals-against-average and a .914 save percentage this season. The Flames currently sit in third place in the Pacific division. Unless they collapse in the last five games of the season, Calgary should make the playoffs.
Apr 2 - 6:01 PM

Jonas Hiller held on to make 33 saves during Monday's 5-3 victory over Dallas.

It was back and forth through the first four goals of the game, but then Hiller's Flames would pot three of the next four. Including an empty-netter to seal it. Calgary now sit two points behind Vancouver for second in the Pacific, and three points up on LA who are currently outside the playoffs. Hiller meanwhile sees his record improve to 23-18-4 .914 save percentage and a 2.44 GAA.
